GH did not deserve to win soap of the year! The storylines are getting redundant and BORING. I am so tired of the Carly and Sonny thing! Who cares? I like them better apart anyway. Also, Robin is a total brat. I can barely watch her anymore. Patrick should forget about her and get someone nicer. I've watched this show for over 30 years and except for the freshness of Spinelli and Maxi it's ENOUGH ALREADY!

ITA - After many years I can not even watch anymore. I only keep up on this board. The writers have ruined this show and the only reason it won best show is because of the actors/actresses who are able to do a good job in spite of what they are given. Its time to take another total break from this show.

GH did deserve to win! I don't find it boring at all, I look forward to watching the show everyday.

If you like something that much you take the good with the bad, you can't expect perfection all the time.

I am glad that GH is the only soap I watch, it keeps me entertained.

I think it's a general soap issue, Soaps no longer have the budgets they used to so some of the action and drama that used to grace our sets, gets overlooked for cheaper S/L, this is also the complaint I see at my other soap I watch GL and I see the complaint on most of the other boards too. It's to bad that daytime television is moving towards becoming extinct, just look at the ratings across the board GH posted 4.2, 10 years ago now usually about a 2.0 or about Half the viewers. It's fun to escape to the fun lifes of our favorite soap character, even though GH has faulted in some areas like the whole Patrick and Robin craziness or the abundance of Mob S/L's, It's got it's bright spots and I'm glad that both of my shows(GL&GH) were nominated for best show, and that GH won, because I think that they were jipped in some of the other catorgies.

Couldn't all this have been put in a thread already started that is listed right on the same page instead of opening another thread??? Grievances is the name of the thread...Peggy

What soap do you feel should have won? And why? Just curious

Sorry Peg; didn't realize I had to read all the posts before writing one. I'm new to this...

The show is not the same to me my opinion. What matters is the story, the story, the story and put that together with good actors to convey it make it believable make u want to watch it to tune into see it like the metro court hostage thing, weddings like Luke & Laura, Liz & Lucky, Jax & brenda and Sonny & brenda, etc. In the pass they have had so many storys that has been good. Go Gh get it done bring back the good s/l that i know u can still tell.

It's the recycling of stories, done that did that, time to find some new storylines, and finish the story's, Logan,
Coop, to young actor's, wasted, the death's of charcther's Georgie Alan, uncall for, the Metro Call was great with the help of SR, great addition, waiting for them to kill him off they don't realize, that even though Sonny and Jason are great charcther's it get's boring after a while, other charcther's great stories, to tell if given a chance.

I'm not looking to the pass only the future for Gh. To me in my opinion some of the characters they have are just not interesting to make me want to run home to see them. Gh may need to add some more writers along with the ones they already have it couldn't hurt but help and maybe tell good stories to get u hook on it again. I think all the stories are not that good as it use to be in my opinion. I wonder how young and the restless keep their viewers because when i look at it i find it boring oh well to each its own. Go GH.

In my opionion GH did a great job on the storylines that were used for the nomination so IMO I do believe they deserved to win. I will agree there have been some storylines that I am not too happy with this year, but I don't the watch the show for a particular storyline. I watch the show, because of the charcters that I have grown to love, and the actors that give 110% every day they work.
I'm sure they don't always agree with what the writers give them. But being the profesional they are, they do the best job with the material they are given. And that's why I still watch the show and why I am still a fan.
