Our beloved Spin out did himself today with his Elizabethan spiel about the Old King wanting to regain his throne. So do you think Guza is foreshadowing? According to an article on CBS News from June 3rd MB only has 6 months left on his contract--do you think Guza is creating an exit strategy or is this going to be another thread of a storyline left dangling as Guza seems so wont to do these days?!

I think it would definitely be a WOW scenario! It has been sad to see the Sason relationship bite the dust. I expected it to just be like a painful divorce, but now I'm not so sure. The fallout would be tremendous!

Can't wait to see what everyone thinks. See you around the board.~MorWeb/Diane

It very well could be an exit scenario for MB. Spin creeped me out saying that stuff.

I'm not sad to see the Sason relationship get destroyed at all! As far as I'm concerned Sonny is a whiny, manipulative man-child with a Step Daddy complex. He's used Jason for years to do all his dirty work while he walks around town, throwing his name around, having tantrums and making babies.

And because Jason is good like that, he listens to Sonny and follows his orders even when it means he has to sacrifice everything he's ever held dear. When has Sonny ever returned that favor? When has Sonny ever put Jason and his needs first. NEVER!

I hope Jason torches Sonny with the same determination and malice he used on the Zacchara's house. I hope Jason takes everything that Sonny ever held dear and claims it as his, and I hope Sonny ends up right where he belongs: as a sniveling, broken, unloved, rotting corpse laying in a ditch somewhere with pi$$ and vodka soaked through his clothes!

I FLOVE the Spinster, but I know to each her own. Thankfully you could watch Claudia's synopsis at the end of the segment. She tranlated very well, and then you wouldn't have to endure anything. She said it was like Oedipus minus the sleeping with his own mother and "gouging her eyes out".

meowbowow IA slightly creepy, but only because it had the markings of possible truth. The Sason relationship has been so complex - father/son, blood brothers, friends, frenemies, etc. I'm almost getting excited about the possibilities of where Guza could take us, but this is tempered with the knowledge of how prone he is to screwing up really good ideas.

SlowAutumnWind WOW! Such passion in your post! But what about the fallout for Jason? Jason's been loyal to Sonny for years, and Sonny was his pseudo-father after the accident that made him Jason Morgan. Do you really think he could be as dispassionate about eliminating Sonny as he was about eliminating the Zacchara's house?

LOL, that is true!! It felt creepy for me b/c it sounded like impending doom. It gave me a chill up and down my spine.

No chills up/down my spine, but I did have 'Oh! Holy sh!t!' reaction. I even made my DH rewind! Heck it hit me SO much I had to open this thread...and I don't open threads!

Maybe it's just me, but I've seen a lot of changes in Jason lately. In the glory days Jason followed Sonny blindly, he was loyal to the point of idiocy. But in the aftermath of Michael's shooting Jason seems more able to look at the bigger picture. I think he's finally seeing Sonny for what he is, a man who's made some stupid choices. And I think Jason is starting to realize that Sonny's way isn't necessarily the best way, notice the drastic difference in the way Jason handles the business? IMO Jason is coming into his own and that's a wonderful thing. I do think it would take something big to get him to turn on Sonny completely, Guza is known to do BIG storylines... speculation? Spumor? We'll just have to wait and see.

SlowAutumnWind It's not just you. Jason is definitely coming into his own. Still I think it would have a tremendous impact on the character to have him kill his mentor / pseudo-father. I don't think that would be something Jason could do, and just blithely walk away.

I don't think Jason could kill Sonny either, that's not his style. I'm just hoping that Jason breaks free of Sonny's control COMPLETELY. Meaning I want him to stop doing what's good for Sonny, Sonny's kid's, Sonny's dad, and start thinking about what's good for HIM and HIS FAMILY. Leave Sonny to his own devices, let him deal with his life and his mistakes ON HIS OWN! Jason doesn't have to do anything drastic to send Sonny off into the deep end, we all know it's only a matter of time before Sonny collapses under his own weight and goes ballistic again...

Look, I know that Jason loves Michael and Morgan, and as much as I hate it, Carly, but that does not mean that just because he is loyal to them that he still has to follow Sonny around like a lost puppy. Jason needs to accept the fact that Sonny is not the demigod he always believed and allow karma to have it's way!

Heehee Spin's whole spiel...I am impressed with the fact that BA rattled that all off and made it look effortlessly...but I am HAPPY that Clauds was there to break it down for me...

Guza could be foreshadowing...I think it will all come down to what MB decides to do...because while I am so loving the Sason split I also acknowledge the position in Jason's life that Sonny holds...and while I don't understand why in the heck Sonny thinks that he treatment of someone that has treated him with the utmost loyalty and respect is okay and continue to think the person is going to show him respect??

Sonny really needs to be taught a lesson from Jason because Sonny doesn't see the man standing before him, he only sees that blindly devoted kid that took his orders without question.

Despite that though, the only way I can see Jason going to that measure with Sonny would be because Sonny betrayed Jason is some unforgivable way...there is ONE area that would bring Jason to his knees in which Sonny could hurt him and if Sonny chose to go there....Jason would kill him.
