Elizabeth's willingness to eat them IMHO should've been a clue that the baby was Jason's. When I was pregnant with my twins I craved all kinds of things my husband likes that I have never cared for before or since. My DH was in heaven!

I know for sure it's been at least 2 times with Lucky (after she passed out in the snow and after Jake was born). Other than those 2 I can't think of any others...but there MUST be others, right? So I'll go with it's happened atleast 3 times!

As for my count on how many times Jason has been replaced at Elizabeth's side by someone else I'd go with 9 / a dozen if you include the Cameron-set fire hospital stay (3Xs by Lucky after Jake was born, 1X by Lucky after finding her in the snow, 1X by Zander during the crypt keeper s/l, at least 1X by Ric after the Faith HNR, 1X by Ric with the Brain - or heart?-aneurysm caused by Ric doping Elizabeth with BC, and at least 2Xs by Ric after the Courthoe HNR, and multiple Xs by everyone after the Cameron-set fire...although he wasn't removed from her side just prevented from getting to it). Whew! That was more than I expected, and certainly enough to show that Jason has always loved Elizabeth because no man is that determined to see a 'friend' .
