B4 Laura lapsed back into her catatonic state, she told LuLu that she didn't think she killed Rick. LuLu started investigating. A little black book was found. Scotty came back into town. Alan left a letter to be delivered to Luke if Alan ever died. LuLu got the letter & Alan admitted that Scotty was the killer. To keep Luke from feeling more guilty about Laura, LuLu opted not to tell what she knew. I missed some of the episodes during the S/L but that's the short version. |

This was one of those sl's that drove me crazy. I am positive that tptb had made Laura the killer initially, thinking Genie Francis would probably not come back again, but when she decided she would, they had to redeem her from the killing, so they made Scott the killer. But I believe it was to protect Laura. He couldn't know that she would go insane over it. Plus it was sloppy writing at it's best. IMHO This is an example of how they ruin good characters with the stroke of a pen, and then some fans won't budge on their feelings about that character. They did it to Rick too and he was the shows hero back in the day. I like to give characters chances because it is just a soap, where redemption and ruining of characters happen all the time, plus I would love to see more father/son stuff with Scott and Logan. JMO |
