I'm sure that Brandon Barash is doing the best he can with whatever story he has been given. His job as an ACTOR is to make the character believable and he has certainly done a good job with that. I don't think it's necessary or fair to make conjectures about what might be in his head right now. |

I don't go into the Jolu threads often. I've seen LOTS of Johnny bashing (I'm guilty myself  ), but if BB bashing is going on it should be stopped. I think sometimes people have trouble seperating the acter from the character.

Hello, Jane. Here are some examples of what I would call bashing the actor, all from the same thread, but I guess this sort of thing is now acceptable on soaps.com: Sounds like BB is desperate, with all the interviews and scoops he's been giving lately. Not sure what he's trying to accomplish. Maybe reel in as many Joho fans as possible. Giving out too much info might come back to bite him though. BB seems almost giddy when speaking of his upcoming "scandalous" scenes, proud that he's the guy who upset the Spixie "lovetrain". Be very careful BB when what you wished for comes true. Hopefully....those tomatoes will knock him down a peg or two. Look for more baiting to come so you'll watch and look for the tune to change dramatically if his popularity continues to be low. Everyone wants to be employed especially now. Thinking about the BB interview, I honestly thing the guy has no clue what's going on at GH

There's no excuse for that kind of posting ghfanfare. I've seen it too. Posters have to realize that these message boards are public and that the actors are real people with real feelings. And, truly, they're only reading their lines. I doubt that any, save the biggest stars, have any input into their characters' story directions. |

Ahhh, I see. I do think sometimes fans put way too much emphasis on what the actors have to say. Does it really matter what BB's opinion of his s/l is? He's a guy doing his job, period. I doubt anyone, other than his close friends maybe, know what the guy is really thinking. He simply doesn't have enough job security to publicly go against what the writers are giving him even if he wanted to. |

I think that what the actors say about their roles are important to fans. A lot of the times, people remain fans because they've become fans of the actor. Take SJB for instance. A lot of people HATE Claudia's character, but they love SJB, so Claudia's a little more tolerable. I can't imagine Claudia would still be on the canvas if another actress was playing her. I think the reason why BB took such a hit was because his character did something that soooo many fans hated and were upset about. The interview came off like he was happy with the new hated storyline, which upset fans even more. I'm not saying it's right. I'm just saying it is. By the way, I appreciate ghfanfare's posts about the actor bashing. I had to go edit one of my posts that I JUST put up because it could've been considred actor bashing. Sometimes, us passionate fans forget and need reminding! |

Hello ladies; The baiting comment above is mine and I don't have a problem saying so...If you were offended ...sorry... but I have to say at no point was I bashing an actor. I was only drawing attention to the comment he made on twitter about scandalous scenes being filmed and his latest interview. I do believe he's baiting the viewer to tune in and I do believe his tone in interviews will change (regarding his characters direction) if the charcters popularity continues to be low...I do believe everyone wants to be employed....if his charcter remains unpopular...my guess is that his character won't be around long. How that bashes him...I'm at a loss...I actually like the character quite a bit and am rooting for the writers to give him something to work with. To me...bashing is ridiculing the person...I was not...merely stating my thoughts on his very public interview and statements. I am however sorry you ladies were offended by my opinions of his interviews...I can assure you no offense was intended. |

Some actors like SB could get away with saying what he really feels because he definitely has job security. I would not expect to hear BB say he hates his s/l with Maxie and what his character did to Lulu, it could mean the end of his job if he did not promote what that writers were giving him. What he says about his character bares no affect on what I think of him as a person. As I said before, he's just a guy doing his job and trying to keep his job I'm sure.
