Hi ya Peeps!!!

Joe, your explanation of Bella eating habits, made me *sigh* "I heart Twilight" ....... only 3 more days till release party.

So we decided, we are going to the midnight party, then going back to someone's house and watching it right away. So, I probably won't be home until 3 am ....... how fun. Must schedule a nap for Friday evening.

Please, if anyone has ever had a cat grow to be very old. Give me a little information on how it behaved before passing.

Our cat will be 17 next month and we have a very hard time keeping weight on her. She has always been healthy and very active, but for the past few weeks I've noticed some changes.

She is sleeping a lot more and sometimes her eyes don't close and they look glassy. Her breathing has become harder and their is a noise not really wheezing or gasping.

I thought about taking her to the vet but she has always gotten so stressed out that we have to give her something the vet gave us to sedate her. And I don't think that now would be a good time to add stress.

Any thoughts or suggestions or experience with this sort of thing, I'm listening...

I just went on a scavenger hunt for the OT thread, I don't even remember page 5/6 maybe sheesh! But anyway just wanted to pop in and say hi to all and report I have read the twilight series the past 2 week and thanks to all because you were all right. I loved it!!! Much better than the movie!

Okay, I hope I can help alittle. My "boy" Boomer is 17 now and yes it is hard to keep weight on him. He does sleep alot more too. He was an only cat for several years- we had a little female and she got loose and we never found her. Last year we decided to get our daughter a kitten for her birthday, also in the hopes that would help with Boomer having a companion too. Before we got Belle(the kitten) he was moving around real slow. After Belle got bigger he is doing so much better. they chase each other and he is alot more active. They are both fixed by the way- I am a firm believer in that too!! When we have to take him to the vet I wrap him in a towel with only his head out and I hold him, it seems to soothe him alot, he still will meow alot but doesnt try to get loose.
