But in the mean time I was just curious about two small prob silly things but non the less... was there any significance to her being a vegetarian as they do not come out and say it but make a point to mention all the meals she ate where veggie burgers and such. Also whats with the eyes when they change color, is all black vampire mode or the golden brown? Sorry, thanks I know I am such a nudge lol |

Bella a vegetarian in the movie? I also noticed that, but it was not an issue in the book, in fact the book discusses at length the meals she makes for Charlie and they are not meatless. I think two things were going on. 1. The vampires call themselves "vegetarians" so it might have been a play o that. And, I can' be sure but I wonder if either Catherine Hardwick(movie producer) or Stephenie Meyer are vegetarians. In Stephenie's cameo role in the diner she ordered a veggie plate or something....who knows though. Second, about the eyes. It was discussed in the books in detail, one place where the movie does not do justice to the books. All vampire's eyes begin as blood red. When they are "thirsty" the eyes are black. Once they eat/drink blood they turn back to red. Except in the case of the Cullens who only eat animal blood. This causes their eyes to be golden instead. This is significant because Bella picks up on the difference early on. The books are just wonderful! Enjoy Beana and come back in the off topic thread to give us updates as you read! |

Thank you much!! yeah I was just wondering about the vegetarian thing cause it was like they almost made it a point to mention her meals and they were all spinach salads, veggie burgers and such. so I was like ok is there something there or I am just looking to into it. lol Oh my.. the eyes, thank you!!! She mentions his eyes and they make it a point to show them and zoom in, and they show Laurents eyes red but never explain what the differences or changes mean.
