General Hospital - MESSAGE BOARDS

Cooper Barrett is by far my favorite male character on GH. Even before his face was revealed and he was hidden behind the mask I have loved his character. There is so much potential with him. They have yet to go into his back story, and I really want to know about his family history. I mean hello, his last name is BARRETT for crying out loud. haha

I personally love him with Maxie, don't stone me. haha I think they compliment each other. Not to mention they have amazing chemistry.

I see many great things coming from Jason. Once he gets more material to work with, rather than the bet, since it is now out in the open (thank god!). I'm really looking forward to the upcoming mob war with zaccarra and sonny because that just means (I hope), that there will be more airtime for Coop/Jason.

I beleive that Coop is Julia Barrett's son. His father could be AJ or Ned because Julia had relationships with both men. My only issue is that Sonny did a background check on Coop when he blackmailed him. If Julia is Coop's mother, wouldn't Sonny recognized that Coop's mother was Brenda's sister?

I really like him too! Hope they beef up his storyline!

coop is an underused character - hopefully that will change and soon. i like him with maxie because they are opposites and the short time we saw them in the vault showed what a great couple they can be. coop needs to be fleshed out as does maxie - gh screwed up by having 3m do nothing but sleep together and didn't follow up on maxie losing jesse or coop having a girlfriend somewhere. gh should backburner lulu and logan in favor of coop and maxie and spin and georgie - far too much lulu/logan for my taste and i will not sacrifice maxie to logan just because lulu has no chemistry with anyone.

I love the character and the actor. I had stopped watching GH and happened to watch during February sweeps. I loved the chemistry between Jason/Coop and Kirsten/Maxie. They are the reason I am even watching now. I keep hoping they get a better story line and Coop's back ground story is told. They have so much potential in his character!

I absolutely love and adore this man and Coop and Maxie are pefect for each other. Jason and Kirsten have off the chart chemistry! Unfortunately, Coop and Maxie have been sacraficed for others and it's wrong. Hopefully, they can develop the character of Cooper further and continue forward with 3M! Jason and Kirsten brought me into this show during Feb sweeps story and I've supported them every bit of the way since. I want GH to focus on this amazing pairing and quit sacraficing them/him at the expense of others, which they've clearly done.

As for backstory ideas for Coop:

He's the black sheep brother of Julia and Brenda...younger at that. He was a troublemaker as a kid and was forced to go into the military as a way of growing up...it changed him....and distanced him from his family.....

Love Cooper/JG!!! And boy do I miss him lately, he's on here and there but I'm greedy, it's not enough!!!!

Cooper is the sole reason I watch the show. I hadn't watched GH in years...saw Three in the vault and I was hooked. I think it's a disgrace how underused JG is and that TPTB haven't given Coop a proper story. They seem to write for everyone else but him.

Coop & Maxie are 'it' for me. These two have more chemistry than all the other couples on the show and a huge fan following but we wouldn't know that from the lack of writing for them. I hope the writers wake up and realize what a gem they in JG/Coop and Coop & Maxie.

I love Jason and I enjoy Cooper for the most part.

But here is what I like and don't like about Cooper.

1.I like his relationship with Maxie before it became about tweetyditz(Lulu) and tweedydum(Logan).

2.I liked how he stood up for her and his relationship.Esp to Logan

3.I would like to know how he became mixed up with Craig.

4.How he went from being a terriost to a sap that isn't possible.The Real Coop is hiding somewhere in there and I would love to have him back.

5.His relationship with Maxie could be a great romance his issues her issues if this show would stop acting like noone but the princess can be happy.

6.I want to know about his family and that mysterious girlfriend of his.I would like his character to be developed.Outside of the vault what do we know about him?Outside of Maxie Lulu doormat and Logan's dog what do we know about him?

7.That he finally realized Logan is no friend and stop trying to protect him.He woke up and dropped him its been a long time coming.Now he needs to realize where his attention needs to be.Also I would love to see him interact with Parick.

What I don't like.

1.Him being Logan's dog.Logan bosses orders his around and he just takes it.So he saved his life that doesn't give him the right to act like he does.

2.His Lulu obsession what ever the hell it is it has to go.Its been detrimental to his relationship he not respecting Maxie or her feelings when it comes to her.Know how she feels about her he should leave it alone and stop acting like her shining knight an armor.Defending her to Maxie face not sticking up for Maxie when it comes to her or having her back when the fist start flying.Like on Tues show the Cooper I know would have stomped Logan again for talking crap about his ex girlfriend or whatever because Logan is the pot calling the kettle black and he still cares for Maxie.

3.Him being dense in regards to Logan/Maxie interaction. Cooper isn't as stupid as this show would like to portray his as.Logan hit on Maxie right in front of his face and he was still talking and acting like there wasn't something wrong with the situation.

4.Him being balless around Lulu gettin a spine when it comes to her which seems to affect any guy they throw her away except Logan who never had any to begin with.Letting her insult his girlfriend talk trash about his taste in women when she the last person should be talking consider the pyscho ingrate she has for a boyfriend or consider she is no better then Maxie.

He can defend his relationship his taste in women wthout defending Maxie's actions or excusing them.Thats been a major downfall since they threw him in her orbit.That isn't the Cooper I know.He was fierecly loyal and protective of Maxie.They got each other they never wanted each other to be anything they weren't they had a rare unconditional support for 2 people who shouldn't have that kind of bond given the circumstances they were in.I want that back not this pod person or pod relationship.

5.Lastly I don't care for him 3M/Maxie to be nothing but a prop or means to an end to do L&L3.They were a suprise hit popular before we even saw his face.Capatialize on that and the amazing chem the actors share.

I can name that tune with one word ! YUMMY !

I kinda miss Coop and Maxie together... she was so much more honest and herself with him. And I kinda miss his ski mask sometimes. I mean he is super smokin hott w/out it, but with it he was sexy, smoldering and mysterious. I still dream about his lips.

I think its about time the show had Coop go undercover as a male stripper... I could use a few gratuitous scenes with out his shirt on...
