I've read some of the negative posts about Sam on some of the other threads and some people say they are not character or actress bashing but (it's like people beating a dead horse). So I am trying to refrain from reading all the negative posts about Sam.

Sam is my favorite character. And I don't care who dislikes, moans, crys, whines or complains about her. I am not going to argue the point I am just letting my opinion be known.

And seeing her scenes with Jason last week and this week has been refreshing. Even if they aren't together anymore they could still be friends.

The Sam I like best is back!

Click - I understand what you are saying... with Sam you either like her or not... I adore her... The past months I hated all the scenes with Lucky.. I never bought that relationship.. it was like they were trying really to hard to sell it.

While I have never liked the character of Sam since she got together with Jason (before that she was an interesting character to watch), I found her too hard, too one dimensional and she NEVER changes and never grows, the relationship with Lucky brings her down (and brings him down as well for that matter). This is a couple that they threw together just to make a point and it's NOT working.

I think I would be able to tolerate Sam AWAY from Lucky, away from the past with Jason and all of her hatred. I enjoyed the scenes with Jerry because FOR ONCE she wanted to TRY it on her own but realized she did need help in the end (hence why she dropped the detanator sp?, knowing Jason would find it and who had her). As long as they keep her off this revenge, you hurt me but I did nothing wrong act(I think that's the part I didn't like most was her acting as if she was innocent when she ACTUALLY started the break up process with sleeping with Ric-this was determined RIGHT AFTER it happened by both BUT I'm not here to debate that), I could watch her without the usual "oh here we go again, pity me" stuff.

Show her FINALLY as independent, doesn't need a man (you have to admit with Jason, she had NO INDEPENDENCE and put WAY too much of herself into that relationship and ALLOWED HERSELF to lose herself) but is just a person who keeps saying she can do it on her own but we never get to see that. Let her get a job, spend time with her family, figure out her roots BUT PLEASE keep her away from Lucky or Jason (romantically) or we won't SEE any of the character growth she needs.

Also, don't make her a "good" girl, she just isn't (and that's NOT a bad thing). Heck if we could see Carly go from the town tramp to respected in the town (and Carly didn't let go of her independence or her streetwise savvy), why couldn't Sam make herself more respected and have more self respect? All it takes is some hard work (have this girl get a job, WHAT is she living off of?) and letting go of her hatred of life and realizing she's an adult and needs to grow up and STOP blaming the past for how she is today. If she wants to be a kick a$$, independent, I don't need anyone person, then she has to STOP using her past as an EXCUSE as to why she is moving forward...only SHE can change her future, and it starts by letting go of the past.

I have TRIED SO HARD over the years to see what I could about Sam that there is to like. I read posts and say to myself "if they can see it, maybe I can too" and I go to YouTube and I watch MANY MANY scenes (heck a years worth of scenes at times) and I have JUST NEVER seen it since she got together with Jason (heck I was on Sam's side when she was with Sonny and Carly was going after her). I think being with Jason RUINED her character...not by the fault of Jason but they just didn't show ENOUGH OF SAM herself by throwing her together with Jason so quickly. Heck, she was in love with Sonny, carrying his baby and BAM we're suppose to believe that she's suddenly in love with another man? (again not debating but just how "I" saw things)

Though I am a Liz fan and was LOOOOOOOONG before Sam was even thought of as a character it is not a "I dislike Sam because I like Liz" thing as I've had love for Liz since her rape storyline 10/11 years ago. Also, it's not a "I hated JaSam because I like Liason" either as I LOVED Liason 9 years ago. I just COULDN'T get into the character of Sam as she is EXACTLY the same, day after day, year after year. If they get her away from Lucky (no offense to Lucky either because having him with Sam makes him look like a jerk and a dumb dumb when Lucky WAS one of my fave characters before and would love again away from Sam), I MAY be able to watch and see if there is SOMETHING there to enjoy about Sam.

Heck if her and Jason want to have action with guns together, GO AHEAD (heck Luke and Felicia did GREAT adventures together but that alone is not enough for a love story), just keep her anger and her animosity out of it and STOP making it about their past relationship.

My point here is (and sorry this is SOOO long), if they would grow the character of Sam, get her AWAY from the OLD "foursome" stuff (Jason, Lucky, the boys), I may actually enjoy this character. They just seem to keep her clinging to what made her REALLY unlikeable to some (again Jason, Lucky), so they take her from ALL that and let's see what she can REALLY do....as Sam, not JaSam or LuSam.

Let's FINALLY see who Sam McCall REALLY is!!! (sorry for repeating myself so much...I tend to do that) I'll shut up now! LOL

I find it weird... Lucky who was in love with Sam has not thought about her once. Lets see he left her in jail. That whole relationship always bugged me I hope and pray it is over!

I love the charcther of Sam, this charcther like many, has made many mistakes, should be forgiving and should be able to live her life her way, no one should live their life, to make other's happy, she is who she is, She is Sam.

Sending good mojo vibes for our girl. This whole Russian/Jake thing, I am hoping that Sam is the hero at the end of this story. She deserves a little happiness, correction she deserves a LOT of happiness

I was reading the spoiler on this sight.. looks like Alexis wants to go after Jason (again) for the violence in PC. Ok Sonny can do no wrong in her eyes? Is it because he is her baby's daddy?? Do you think Sam might play a role if Alexis does put Jason on trail?

She totally kicked some tushy today. Her holding that big ol' riffle and waiting for the Russians to act. Tomorrow should be really, really interesting.

I totally loved how Sam told Liz today " I don't expect you to forgive me for what I've done to Jake, but I swear to you that I will protect those boys with my own life if I have to".

How much more can she do to try to earn forgiveness?

Wow, today's show was AWESOME! Sam's concern for Liz and boys... LOVED IT! That is the Sam we all know exists, was really nice to see her again.
