I was thinking if we could pick a clip from youtube of Liason and discuss it. For example, the first part of NOP. This would allow us to remember some good times and see what some of what they said means today. Anyone in?

Ok, I wrote a whole thing last night and then the site must have gotten busy or something because it didn't post and this was the only place I couldn't get on. Frustrating!!!
Here is my recap and thoughts:
Liz surprises Jason (again) but Jason can't wait to get to her and kiss her. He cares what she is saying but realizes that it isn't anything important. But once greeting her with a wonderful kiss they talk about what happen with her at work because it is important to her and he knows this. They have a discussion about why Jason has been sacrificing not being around Jake and Liz doesn't think it is a good idea.
Jason goes on to say it won't work if she is scared. The problem that I NOW see is that she never really answered this. Liz says "no one's life is perfect". I can now see that that was really just brushing the subject under the rug because at the time it wasn't a big issue. That they just need to love their children. Where now they think that staying away might be showing their love more than if they were a family.
They agree that they want to share a life together. Jason tells Liz that he wants a life with her, a family with her.
There was some clarification going on about what sharing a life is. (As you can probably tell by my avi this is still my favorite part). Jason says that is depends on what she wants because he knows that he wants to marry her and I believe he thought she knew this.
They get ENGAGED!!!
And then they talk about how it is really happening as if they have to check it isn't a dream. She says yes unless you back out. He says is not going to happen.
I love this scene. Not only does it show how much they love each other. To me it shows how much they trust each other, rely on each other and believe that they understand each other without words. They know what is important to each other.

Burst's great questions (though I am taking it in parts so this is how I think these people will reaction to finding out that Jake is Jason's son):
1.Monica - shocked and thrilled that she has another grandson which she never thought would happen
2.Edward - his wheels would start turning trying to figure out how to make him a true Quartermaine.
3.Tracy - scared and running to cover her a$$ because she knows that Jason will not be happy when he finds out about Alan's Will.
4.Sonny - depending on how it comes out he will either question Jason's timing or go into protective mode because it wasn't Jason and Elizabeth's decision.
5.Carly - she will be thrilled she will be buy gifts and Jason type stuff for Jake thinking that Elizabeth surely could surround Jake with those items because Elizabeth doesn't know Jason as well as she does.
6.Spinelli - He might be worried about how this is going to affect his living situation but happy that he has one less secret to keep.
7.Lucky - scared and hurt because he will wonder what type of role, if any, he will play in the boys lives.
8.Sam - annoyed and defensive because she will have virtually no contact with Jake from that point on.
9.Lulu - mixed - she will be happy to no longer have to lie but sad that the truth is out because she no longer can pretend that Jake is related to her by blood
10.Robin - thrilled!!! She will want to be setting up play dates and mommy and me classes to do with Elizabeth. She will be happy that Jason finally has the one thing he always wanted. And she will see this as bonding experience between her, Patrick, Jason and Elizabeth.
11.Patrick - he will have new admiration for Jason and Elizabeth and see that they really do put their children first.
12.Nik - I think he will roll his eyes and question the decision to let this information out. Even if someone else does it I think Nik will be mad that Elizabeth didn't come to him to try and cover it up somehow.
13.AZ - thrilled there is a new target that can't defend himself.
14.Trevor - will go to Jason and tell him how Jake will turn out like Johnny.
15.Rick - he will be madder than he!! !!!!!! He will realize that now Jason and Elizabeth will have a stronger bond that he and Elizabeth ever did or will. He will hate Jake for it.
16.Claudia - she will be shockingly protective but also state her disapproval for bringing another innocent life into the business.
Burst's list is on page 1313 and I will think of how these people will respond when they find out or realize that Jason and Elizabeth are truly in love.

Shel, I re-watched the engagement scene, I really did. Sorry I didn't post my response yesterday.
What I've taken away from that scene is that Elizabeth has Jason's number. I love when she calls him on his answer avoiding skills. Jason has always placed the decision on others and didn't do anything different in this scene at the beginning when he said it depends how much time she wants to spend with him or as little time. Jason is a shy guy underneath and he is often too afraid to tell her exactly what he wants because he may be hurt by her response. So, when she turns the tables and forces him to answer first, you can see him building up his courage when he slowly breathes out and then says I want to marry you. That is my absolute favourite part of these scenes.
What kills me every time is that the light flirty atmosphere is overshadowed by the large anvil of the break up. Jason and Elizabeth have their short lived moment of happiness when she yells Yes twice, he envelopes her into a beautiful long hug and kiss only to say the words, are we really doing this, unless you back out, not going to happen. And until there's a Liason reunion I just can't watch the end when the phones ring and Elizabeth says timing right.
