Hi i am new to the show can someone tell me why jason loves michael so much |

Well Michael is Jason's nephew...which is easy to forget sometimes. He pretty much took care of Michael for the first year of Michael's life. I didn't watch back then but I know he's had a connection with him since day one. I think at one point Carly tried to pass Michael off as Jason's but I'm not sure. |

Later it is revealed that AJ (Jason's brother) is Michaels bio father...He and Carly marry and Jason retains SOME rights to Michael...as some time passes Jason signs off on his rights!! Jason leaves town only to return and Carly ends up with Sonny where they marry...Jason returns to working for Sonny and all else is history...but that is the Michael and Jason connection!!

Quote hayleedog: Both poster are correct Carly had a one night stand with Jason and a relationship that went sour with AJ quatermaine (Jason's half brother) AJ threatened to take custody of Carly's baby if it turned out to be his. After the baby was born she was suffering from PPD and left the child (as yet un-named) with Jason and left town. Jason named the baby after his mentor Sonny and called him Michael. At Carly's request he lied and claimed the child was his to protect him from AJ and the Q's. After Carly came back it was Jason who taught Carly how to care for her son and what he liked/disliked. The relationship between Jason/Michael continued to grow. Eventually it was Jason's then girlfriend Robin who told AJ the truth about Michael's paternity which ended her relationship with Jason and she moved to paris to study. Sonny ended up adopting Michael when he and Carly Married. Thank you so much that help alot have a good one and is robin back on the show |
