IMO what they are creating in Micheal is a psychopath!! okay, i am stopping at this post to respond. how exactly is it that you can blame a CHILD, because that is what michael was when he ACCIDENTALLY shot kate...a child.. for being brought up in a world of violence?? it is not his fault that his mother chose to be with sonny. it is not his fault that sonny is a mobster. it is not his fault that he is around all that death and violence. it is the parents' fault. that's a reality. |

The show has lost it's balance. We never see right overcome wrong anymore. It used to be that the main cast were basically decent people and the bad influences were special characters written to be there for a short time and then get their just due or to appear only now and again (like Faison and Helena) Now the criminals and evil-doers are the main characters. But for Michael, I lay 99% of the blame directly on Sonny and Carly. He is the poster child for forced sterilization, and she's always had questionable ethics. (When she first got involved with Sonny, she had preciuos little common sense, either.) |

Just because he is a child doesn't absolve him of Blame. He set this in motion. Had he not boughtthe gun shot Kate and ran off. Sonny would not have thought Z was behind it he wouldn't have kidnaped Johnny, Claudia wouldn't have wanted revenge and it wouldn't have happened. So how is it not his fault!! Their comes a point in life when we need to stand up and take responsibility for his actions!! For Michael, imo it is well past that time!! |

Yes to buying the gun that shot Kate and yes it was an accident, but I still feel he should have been held accountable for it. Yes to this time killing Claudia to protect Carly and his sister. He still needs to be made accountable for it. I think what bothers me most (I think it bothers Jason as well) is that he shows no remorse for what he did to Claudia. In fact it shows that he enjoyed it (if you want to call it that). He will keep doing what he's doing if he's not held accountable. While he isn't Sonny's blood, he is certainly Sonny's son in every other way. |

I understand how the chain of events and choices Micheal made lead up to everything, and I think he should be held accountable for all of it. But really IMO it is all Sonny and Carly's fault for raising a child in an environment with violence where I kid would ever think it is an acceptable idea to buy or use a gun... |

Yes he made those choices but he was what 12 years old, seriously.I do agree that he needs to face the consequences but to place the SOLE responsibility on a child is ludicrous. It's too easy to place the blame on the CHILD and absolve parents of the wrong doing. If more parents do their jobs their kids wouldn't end up in these situations. Violence has been covered up, swept under rugs, rewarded and glorified in his life.That is his parent's doing. It's all he knows.Doesn't make it right, but it doesn't change the fact that no one in his life has a moral compass. By all means punish him and make him deal with the consequences. But make the adults in his life pay as well. |

True but he still had choices and he has repeatedly chosen to go the wrong way. imo I want someone to go over this with him does he even know that Sonny kidnapped Johnnny(because of him)? and because of that is why C put the hit on Sonny? I kinda wonder if he even has a clue since his parents want to act like he can do no wrong and good or bad they cover up his actions so nothing is ever his fault!! |
