General Hospital - MESSAGE BOARDS

I read a spoiler on another website about Liz's brother, Steven Lars Webber. Well, he is going to be made chief of staff at the hospital and he is going to find out a big secret about Liz. Supposedly, there was a mix-up at the lab when Liz had the paternity test done on Jake. Jake is going to turn out to be Lucky's biological son after all and Steven finds out before Liz does. At first, he doesn't tell her because he knows how much she had wanted Jake to be Jason's son and not Lucky's son. But, around Christmas time, Steven's secret will accidentally get out and be a wonderful Christmas surprise for Lucky. Liz will be disturbed by the news, because Jake was her ONLY connection to Jason and FINALLY!!!(**thank the soap gods**) that connection will no longer be there and TPTB are finally breaking that last connection to liason before writing them off for good to the history books. Guza has even said recently that Jasam are in it for the long haul and he didn't want anything like that held over their heads. This way, Jasam can start anew with Jason not sharing a baby with a woman he had a ONS with and the writers are going to try and find a miraculous way to give Jasam the baby that they have always wanted together and Jason will be a part of his baby's life, because Sam will let him and he will want to be there for his lady love and their beautiful baby conceived out of love.

Yeah yeah. Sure sure.

I kind of hope this is true. I would love for Jake to be Lucky's son, Jason doesn't want him anyway.

Any word on who will be playing Steven Lars? I heard it will be Scott Reeves (ex Ryan McNeil, YR).

regardless of whether you like Jasam or Liason, I think that storyline is very soapy. It has the potential to let JJ shine and I am looking forward to that. I think it would also be a great storyline for Liz. How do you deal with the fact that man you love/loved is not the father of your child? I think it has a lot of potential. But at the same time I think the James Franco storyline will probably be the most important one coming up in the next few weeks and I can't see that happening anytime soon.

Sounds like a good sudsy soap s/l. I'm not really happy that they would take Jason's son away from him, but knowing Jason I don't think it will stop him from caring for or looking out for Jake in the future IF this turns out to be true!

Oh the other hand, I look forward to Lucky finding out he has a son! I mean Lucky already loves Jake and the bond between them can only grow stronger/closer if Jake turns out to really be Spencer.

I bet JJ can (and will) rock those emotionally charged scenes!

Normally, I don't enjoy these paternity-switch stories however, in this case, I'd be delighted for Jake to be found to be Lucky's. The two main reasons I'd find this an attractive turn of events are:

First, I'd be able to get past this nagging gosh-he-really-is-a-bit-of-a-deadbeat-dad issue I have with SuperJase.

Second, once the Niz nastiness is outed, it would give L&L2 another reason to work really hard to reconnect and build their relationship again.

While it would be nice, this sounds awfully like a fan based rumour. I wouldn't think Liz would care either because she is soooooo clearly over Jason now and into Nik I guess. She doesn't have a connection to Jason anymore. I do hope that Jason and Sam get their baby though - this would be nice especially for Sam who really wants to be a mother and is a good "mother" to her little sisters while Alexis wanders PC blind and clueless!!!!

I definately read that Reeves is going to be playing Steven Webber and it will be nice to see him back on the soaps again.

So much has been made of Jake being Jason's that I can't imagine it's true but if it is I will be happy for Lucky. He has been amazing with those boys and he loves them like his own.

I LOVE that Lucky loves Jake as his own son and that it doesn't matter that Jake is not his biological child. That love always came through with GV's Lucky. I look forward to that continuity with JJ's Lucky.

However, I do have to say that I would be very, very happy if this spoiler talk is true. If Jake does turn out to be Lucky's biological child, it would finally put a nail on the coffin of Liason. I don't want to upset any fan who doesn't like LnL2 and who like Liason, but Jason could never give Liz what she needs. Lucky is the only one who could give Liz that. Liz and Jason don't belong together. Liz could never accept Jason's life choices. And that is in keeping with Liz's character. I am diehard LnL2 fan, but I am very upset with this sordid Niz affair. I want the affair to end once Lucky finds out. Then I want to see Liz grovel and fight for Lucky while Lucky goes and licks his wounds and tries to figure what to do with this double betrayal.

Steven Lars showing up is exactly what Liz will need - Liz needs her family. I think that this is the perfect time to rebuild the Webber family. Bring Laura and Jeff back. Make Lesley a regular again. Make the Webbers, Spencers and Cassadines front and center. There could be a some amazing stories. I doubt that TSW/TPTB will get rid of the mob stories, but I wish that they should balance the GH landscape and not have Sonny/Jason be front and center all the time. TSW should ease up on the violence and the bad language.

I am hopeful that bringing Steven Lars back is a signal that TSW are shifting gears and moving away from the mob stories. I haven't been this excited about GH in years. I now looking forward to GH every day!!!

I don’t really care if they change the paternity switch or not; but, I don’t believe it will happen. First off, Lizzie never wanted Jake to be Jason’s son. She wanted the baby to be Lucky’s child because she did not want Lucky knowing that she slept with Jason.
Second, I don’t think Lizzie would mind if Jake was Lucky’s son; however, this does not change the history and it still won’t make Jason look any better. Also, I can see Jake’s paternity being changed right back to Jason as the father if Guza wants to write another plot point especially if someone needed a blood transfusion.

Third, Guza said that Jasam was the “Destiny” couple and Liason was the “End Game;” therefore, the only way Guza can prove that Jason loves Lizzie is to make Jake’s Lucky’s son that way when and if Jason goes back to Lizzie it want be because of Jake. Guza’s wheels are always spinning and some may not like what he probably has in store.

Fourth, it would be nice for Lizzie to have her brother, Steven Lars, back.
