I loved today FOR SO MANY REASONS!!!!

Sonny was amazing. I really loved him today. MB hasn't acted with so much convincing emotion and anger like that in a long time. I know its backwards, but I actually liked Sonny today. There have been days when he hasn't annoyed me nearly as much in the recent months, but I liked him today. I know most people probably hate him even more from this episode because he was just expressing raw anger, like he does most of the time. Anger that is misplaced or ugly and unwatchable. But today he went beyond that for me.

Yes he demonstrated ferocity and emotion, but most of the time he does it without you really comprehending to the fullest extent what his motivation is behind it. He'll shout and yell and act self-righteous, but it always causes me to wonder why. Why does he act like that? On those days, I have no idea what is going on in his mind, and on those days, the unwatchable factor forces me to not care. But today, I knew why he was so angry, and I knew why he was shouting. Today I was rooting him on and loving everything he said. Today was a day that I empathized with him, and agreed with the things he told to Claudia.

On top of all this, he did it in front of all of Port Charles. Everyone was there, and everyone's reactions were amazing and necessary for Sonny's speech to be successfully jaw-dropping. Him outing Jax's knowledge of the shooting. How about the way Sonny said, "yes, Jerry Jax." Beautifully acted. Then there was Carly devastated from realizing Jax's secret, Jason witnessing the secret he suspected of Claudia all along, finally coming out, Kristina seeing a different side of Sonny, causing her to think of him as a "monster," Michael feeling bad and guilty and thinking he could have stopped all of the chaos, and Johnny's commitment to saving his sister, however undeserving she may be. Luke even getting involved in the story, but trying to use his contacts to find out where his niece was taken. I like them reminding us that they are related.

Have I mentioned Claudia yet? Her reaction to him outing her like that was amazing acting on SJB's part. The crying, and pleading for understanding was sensationally acted, and I believed it all. But on top of all this, I can't get over Maurice's awesome performance. His apology for not believing or trusting everyone who ever urged him to not to put faith in the empty words Claudia uttered. His apology for not trusting his own instincts. And none of this post has even touched upon Claudia taking Carly hostage. Those scenes in the car were amazing. I literally cried. OMG ITS ON AGAIN... okay, sorry. Anyways, the episode was so wonderfully soapy, I just can't get over it.

btw, I also loved Dante and Lulu's shared glances, and the way he looked in that black suit.

IA, great episode! Very entertaining and suspenseful. Hope they can keep the ball rolling for sweeps.

i'm in complete agreement. today was amazing. MB and IR were both outstanding. I actually teared up when Sonny heard Kristina call him a "monster." I also gasped aloud when Michael came off the elevator and heard Jax. Both of those moments were heartbreaking. I really hope they keep this intensity up with the Dante/Sonny storyline. I would love to see Dante have Sonnyesque moment at his mother when he finds out the truth. I can't wait for Monday! I'll be watching replays all weekend.

Love it love it love it, Sonny is a great actor, Vixenella wow she's good to. Too bad she had to be a villen. Todays show excellent can't wait until Monday.
