Perhaps that's it, the fact that it was never really Liz and Lucky before, people didn't care as much that Lucky got hurt in it but now that LUCKY is now there (no offense to GV), it's a whole new ballgame! I too was screaming at Liz yesterday, whereas if it was last week, I'd just say "ugh, end this story it is SOO boring." |

Does Liz even have feelings for Nik, aside from lust??? I'm sorry but this time, I can't say that Liz is just going by feelings. Liz ALWAYS had feelings for Jason and she had just found Lucky cheating on her so last time, it made sense. This time, it's just a horrible story and Liz is making herself look like a fool and she is hurting Lucky for no reason (yes I CAN call out my faves). |

I love the show, but there are no characters that I will defend, love, hate anything like that until I'm blue in face. I dislike some characters more than others, but I can understand both sides of any argument. I can logically think through the actions or decisions of a character. There are some fans that will defend their fave and make excuses for their actions even if they are irrational or unforgivable. Alkiat, you do a good job of understanding every character and admitting their flaws and recognizing their mistakes. I've come across a lot of die hard Liz fans who think she can do no wrong and refuse to acknowledge her shortcomings. To me this irrational and makes it difficult to hold productive discussions. On a side note.... I love Mac from Y&R maybe not the current actor, but i love the character. I love original Billy and Mac and between you and me...whenever I'm having a bad day...I pop the prom episode into the vcr and watch. It still makes me believe in love, real love. Billy and Mac have that or at least the first Billy and Mac did. |

Years ago GH writers did a wonderful thing. They wrote a truly romantic and legendary story for Liz and Lucky. Fans were hooked by these two (probably because of the amazing chemistry between Rebecca H. & Jonathan J.). During the years though, I think its safe to say that the writers haven't been particular kind to the pair. And in the wake of no good story line for these two, the writers have made Liz a complete nitwit. Let's take a look at her history, shall we? First she had a baby by her best friend's ex (Zander) so wrong! Then she had a baby by everybody's favorite mob enforcer. The ding bat got herself locked out of the house once while her bratty baby boy set the house on fire. I swear it took at least 2 minutes before she had enough sense to break out a window (seriously that long???) Now, its not that hard to believe that after so much wreckless behavior that she would now be attracted to Lucky's brother AND best friend WTF?????? The Liz and Lucky that we were in love with way back when is all but gone. I'm hoping that the return of JJ will inspire the writers of this show to write Liz's character with a little more depth. |

Bravo...I love your post. I've been a Liz fan for a long time, but she's really gone off the deep end lately. No Lucky wasn't perfect, he never said he was, but people seem to forgive Liz for then him and I'm not sure why. I do believe she is afraid of a permanent commitment with any man. |

There is a time when you just got to reevaluate and I think she has to do that. Regardless of which Lucky it is GV or JJ wrong is wrong, I have said in past with GV Lucky that liz have done wrong just the same way now she has put herself in a trainwreck. However as far as the thread title liz does not deserve someone as good as lucky, OP is right she deserves better

I think initially Lizzie was just trying to help out a friend; but, while they played that silly game she and he both started being attracted to each other. It may very well have been lust at the beginning for Lizzie because she has never shown any romantic attraction towards Nik in the past; however, it was different for Nik because he has shown feelings for her in the past. I agree Lizzie has always had feelings for Jason; but, look where that got her, nowhere. Jason tossed her to the curb the first chance he got and went back to his woman which made absolutely no sense to me. Talking about Lizzie looking like a fool, she can’t look like any bigger fool than she looked like running after Jason and he insulted her by going back to Sam. How humiliating is that? Yes, Lizzie was wrong for accepting Lucky's proposal and for hurting Lucky and lying to him; but, part of that was Lucky’s fault too. The situation and embarrassment for Lucky could have been minimized if Lucky would have respected her request. Lucky was the one who decided to announce to his family and friends that he and Lizzie were engaged again after she asked him not to say anything because she wanted to take it slowly. Lucky knew that she had doubts about them getting back together; but, he didn’t want to lose her; therefore, Lucky is just as guilty as she is. And, yes, others are going to be hurt as well as her sons and that is why she didn’t want anyone knowing about their engagement so soon. And, I believe she would have broke the engagement off if he wouldn't have put her on the spot. Lucky knew exactly what he was doing. I agree that Lucky and Lizzie are not met to be and I doubt if GH bring a new love interest in for Lizzie. Without a love interest on this show, GH doesn’t seem to have an interest in writing for a single character. Lizzie is young and beautiful and I want to see her go after what she wants and if she wants to be with Nik then I’m all for it. And, I hope it turns out to be so much more. Funny, she went after Jason too; but, Jason at the end showed his true colors. Jason seems happy to me and I think if given the chance Nik can make Lizzie happy too. Jason is with a Cassadine and Lizzie is now with a Cassadine. It should be interesting. |

I totally agree! I wish Liz would just tell Lucky that she slept with Nik and that she wants Nik. She should set the good boy free and maybe Lucky will stop being so nice to her. |

I actually think GH is doing a good job storyline-wise right now. I don't hate Liz or Nik or Lucky (anymore, yay for JJ). I think GH is doing a fairly good job in showing that humans are flawed. Good people do horrible hideous things everyday and make super bad decisions. Real people get hurt everyday by the people they love and betrayal happens. I believe Liz loves Lucky. But I can understand just not being hot for him anymore. (Although, I don't really believe it anymore with the chem going on between BH and JJ.) I can understand her feelings for Nik snowballing because all of a sudden she notices that her best friend who she loves dearly, is also really hot. |

But I like strong female characters. I think that Sam and Liz are both lacking in this department. I recently jumped on the Jasam train because I like their history. I like their current chemistry, but that does not mean I can not see how hard it is for others to understand this pairing. But I think it would be a huge step back for Liz and her fans to cheer on the reunion of Liason. Jason left Liz and went back to Sam after he said that he would rather be alone. He chose Sam after everything she did to Liz and Jake. He didn't chose Liz and he could have...anything is possible in Soapland. If Liason happens it will be as though Jason finished with Sam once again...and he decided to go after Liz. It's your classic triangle and its degrading to the women. Men can sleep around and go from bed to bed. I would tell Liz fans to cheer her on in an independent story or a story outside of a man or a new man. But I'm over the Jason reconnection and this doesn't come from a Jasam fan, but fro ma LIZ and a woman fan!! |

I'm with you Lisa Wu-Hart.I can't stand that Liz character. Why you ask? Because she's just too "goody 2 shoes" 4 me. I'm suprised she's not pregnant yet. That's all her character is good for, that and making Lucky feel less then a man. If she was a real person her title would be TRAMP! And Nikolas is no better. He's just TRIFFLIN'. He knows that's his brother women. Down right SCANDOLOUS! I hope they let Lucky grow a pair and kick Liz to the curb. I know, he's not innocent either, but he is trying to do better. That's all you can ask from somebody is that they try to do better. PEACE OUT! |
