I think Kate wants olivia to tell bc she has seen what happens when you keep secrets and how much they can cost you. Prime example Dante and Sonny are both going to spaz (and that is putting it nicely) when they find out the turh. Dante is going to wonder why his mother did not tell him the truth when he was of age and old enough to handle why she kept it from him all these years and sonny is just going to be sonny....(he makes me so tired)

Dante is going to be upset and rightfully so, he is an undercover cop who is getting ready to take down his own fatehr...you have to be 18 in order to go into the academy so why did olivia not tell him then and let dante make his own choices afterwards, now she is really putting him on a collision course to either get killed or put his father in jail (not that I mind sonny being in jail) but it is the kids father that he has NEVER known who just so happened to put out the hit that killed his actual father figure (mr pelloti)...Kate is right Olivia needs to tell this kid the truth this is already going to put a wedge between dante and olivia as it is at this point it is a mtter of how wide the wedge is going to be..

I know the (tired) argument about how Sonny should know who his child is and vice versa, but somehow I just don't believe Kate, who wouldn't even admit to being a Falconari until forced to do so, is all about moral fiber and family fidelity. Me too. I wish she would just shut her yap or just spill it already. Either way, I'm tired of the s/l and want to see them find out that they are father and son already.

I think Kate does have a motive and I think it is because she doesn't want all of her dirty secrets to come out. For some reason I thought Dante was really Kate and Sonny's son and that Olivia offered to raise him as her son. I know it was mentioned that Kate and Sonny never slept together; but, for some strange reason I always believed that Sonny and Kate got drunk and did the nasty and she awoke first before Sonny knew they had ever been together.

I think Kate's motive is that she loves Oliva. Not only are they cousins (Italian cousins no less) but they were best friends growing up. Also Kate has kept the secret of Dante's father for over 20 years. But she knows Oliva will be inconsolable if something were to happen to Dante or Sonny at the hands of the other. Finding out that they are father and son may prevent that.

So here's my out in left field theory. Kate is still hung up on Sonny. She knows Sonny has been sniffing around after Olivia. If all the secrets come out, Sonny will be at odds with Olivia and Dante.

Kate will get some satisfaction out of blowing everyone's cover and creating havoc and maybe Sonny will somehow come back to her.

I know. I know. But it's no worse than what the writers throw at us, right?!

Really.. If I were an actress on GH and my contract was due for negotiation, I think I'd insist they promise I would never ever be paired with Sonny.
