General Hospital - MESSAGE BOARDS

I was assuming it was going to be James Franco but if he is going to be Jason's worst nightmare then maybe not. Unless he is Valentin Cassadine and he was involved with Sam from the past. Lord knows that characters entertwine all the time on soaps. What do you all think?

Well, if you mean involved as in sex, that would be icky given Valentin and Sam would be cousins.

I'm really hoping this character doesn't have TOO many conncetions with characters. If he ends up, say, being a Cassadine who grew up in Bensonhurst with Dante but was Devlin's brother and knew Patrick because Devlin was in school with him, and was once operated on by Rick Webber before having a torrid affair with Lucy Coe and then going to work for ELQ while moonlighting as a bartender at Sonny's strip club, I'm going to be very annoyed. A few connections is good; too many coincidences and conncetions is a little insulting.

From what Alexis told Luke, Valentin is her half-brother, and he makes Helena look like a saint. And, it looks as though he may have a vendetta against Jason to settle that could get pretty ugly. Hope they don't try to put Valentin and Sam together since he is her uncle.

Matthew Borlenghi was cast as Valentin awhile ago.

Back to the discussion about Valentin. I was actually hoping he would have been older. matt borlenghi is so much younger than Alexis.

But then, I love that they are spinning a story about the Cassadines so it should be fun. I think he should be after Nikolas though. Nikolas seems to be the Head of the Cassadine family and controlling of the Cassadine fortune and businesses. In that, Valentin would want his piece of the pie.

Tying him into the Nik/Liz/Lucky story with Luke, Tracey, Alexis, Ethan falling into the mix would be fun.

And his female counterpart could be Rebecca because Rebecca obviously despises Helena. She met up with Ethan and then tried to con Nik. Now couldn't this have all been her ploy in the beginning that she planned with her love Valentin?

Big WTD story was AJ. That was a huge story back in the day. With Nic his paternity came into question with the intoduction of Stefan. Was the daddy him or Savros. Both men were obessed with Laura.

I think changing Sam's paternity to Alexis being her aunt, not mom could be interesting. I dont like the relationship between Sam and Alexis. Sam tries but Alexis doubts her. It is understandable. I like Sam as Molly and Kristina's sister but if Valentin is her daddy, they would still be related.

Whatever Valentin is up to, I am looking forward to a good old fashion Hatfield and McCoy...I mean Spencer/Cassadine fued.

I look forward to bringing you a compelling and complex character in Valentin. Sorry it's taken so long to bring the storyline to the tube, but trust that Mr Guza knows what he's doing. Happy Holidays to you...
