I started watching in 2003 and have never seen anyone other than GV as Lucky. What do you guys think of the "old" Lucky returning? I don't think I'm too happy about it |

I don't think I'm too happy about it I didn't know what all the fuss was about, so I did a little research and watched Lucky and Elizabeth 1998 on YouTube. And now I understand his pull. I welcome JJ back to General Hospital as a great actor. He may be the answer to the Jasam and Liason war. If Liz is happier in another relationship, it may make the Liz fans happy also. Their chemistry was like Jason and Robin's, innocent. |

I will never enjoy Lucky any more. Due to the Guidelines I can not say how I feel. |

I've been watching forever, so I do remember JJ as Lucky. I liked him, but that was also ten years and many storylines ago. JJ had the advantage of being a main character in many memorable and strong s/l's. I thought Greg Vaughn was a terrific actro who did the best he could with the sparse garbage they wrote for him after the addiction s/l. |

I'm a die-hard Liz fan and it wouldn't make me happy at all b/c even tho Lucky was played by a different actor back then there's still way too much water under the bridge. Unless they wipe out that entire s/l, which I see no way for them to do that, it wouldn't change anything for me. Plus he cheated on her back then w/her sister Sarah and he's cheated on her of late as well and I'm still angry about that. Liz loved him like crazy then but he only had eyes for Sarah!! |

I'm trying to withhold judgement for a couple weeks until I see what they will do with the recast. Still, in my mind, JJ is young Lukcy and GV is adult Lucky. I have a hard time imagining JJ as adult Lucky. I have a very hard time seeing JJ as anything but the teenage Lucky as well so it will be interesting to see him as adult Lucky. It will also be interesting to see if they write him any better then they did for poor GV who IMO got the very short end of that stick!! |

I concur, it doesnt really have anything to do what JJ is gonna bring, I know he is talented and can pull his come back off, its the WRITERS thats the problem! The have never done justice to any old Fav's they begged to come back, only for rating purposes, Remember Brenda's come back? HORRIBLE!!! Gh doesnt just need JJ, they need NEW WRITERS ASAP! |

I am eccstatic that the original Lucky has returned. He is a much better fit for Liz then this current one. The current one seems too old for her. Liz and Lucky were high school sweethearts and this Lucky seems a few years older. I would of liked the current character to stay on but be involved with another character on the show. Anyhow I am excited to see what Jonathan Jackson has to bring to the show now. |

I think it would have been an interesting twist for the "old" Lucky to come back and for us to learn Greg Vaughn's Lucky was a fake who had been brainwashed into believing he was Lucky Spencer. I know, they don't look alike; but, crazier things have happened in Soapland. This would have been a good way to keep Greg Vaughn and have Jonathan Jackson back as well. It could also explain why Greg Vaughn's Lucky didn't get along with Luke. They were very close when JJ first aired as Lucky. This would also give Greg Vaughn a storyline of his own and one he could sink his teeth into as his character tries to find out who he really is and who brainwashed him in the first place. (Of course, we know Helena would probably have been responsible.) The "real" Lucky (JJ) could team up with his doppelganger (GV) to find out what happened when he was brainwashed all those years ago. |

point blank: I couldn't be happier. I'm a JJ fan so I love him in almost anything he does. I'm glad they aren't doing a "real" lucky storyline--that would have turned me off big time. And yes JJ has a young face but there's no doubt he's a grown man. This debacle is the writers fault for losing sight of who lucky really is and I really hate the way they just dropped GV. Even so I love JJ and I will support him and as a GHFF, I will always support the show, because I'd rather see it through its bad years than have it replaced with some crappy reality show. |

Actually I think the writing has been a whole lot better lately and I'm enjoying GH where I haven't been able to say that in a LONG TIME. I've been laughing so hard watching it that my stomach hurts!! But I agree about JJ, if they write him like they did when GV has played him all these yrs then he doesn't stand anymore of a chance then GV did. I'll be anxious to see how it all works out and I can't wait to see JJ again!! |

Jonathan Jackson still looks like a teenager. He is cute but he still got the boyish look and Greg Vaughan is 9 years older. I think Jonathan is 27 and Greg is like 36. I can't see Jonathan playing a role as a cop. I will have to see how this plays out before I make any comments. |

I keep seeing this theory but it doesn't make sense. A doppelganger is someone who looks just like someone else. GV and JJ look nothing alike. That means all of PC wouldv'e had to be brainwashed into thinking that GV's Lucky looked like JJ's Lucky. Interesting storyline but I don't think people are really thinking it through. To me it would've been better if Lucky had stayed dead all these years but that's not what happend. Now JJ has to come back and deal with this mess of a Lucky. I'm hoping for the best because, to me, he was one of the top three characters ever to grace GH. |
