This is SO much more fun than bash threads... I'm glad the Dante-love is pretty much universal... I haven't seen any haters yet, because seriously, how could you hate that amazing body, gorgeous smile, and charming personality?

Well, the Michael secret is finally out. Hooray! Now for the Dante secret.

It really looked for a minute yesterday like his undercover gig was going to be exposed in front of the whole town as well. But not to be. Not yet, anyway.

And as for the Sonny secret, well, I'm sure we won't just get a quiet moment when Olivia finally 'fesses up, right? It will have to be some big dramatic reveal.

It occurred to me that we might be seeing a new era emerging for the PCPD. First, we had natural-leader Dante assuming control of the chaotic room, as any good, take-charge cop would do. Second, we had Luke (who is often given the task of making prescient statements) saying, "who do you think you are, the chief of police" or something to that effect. Third, we had Mac defying the mob pressure and putting the cuffs on SuperJase. Fourth, we got to see that really cute new detective...why hire someone so fine-looking if you're not going to give him something to do? Fifth, we've got a new Lucky Spencer...clearly playing a dumb cop won't be attractive to Jonathan Jackson so I'm thinking Lucky might transition to being a smart cop. Sixth, we've been seeing a lot more of foxy Mac over the last couple of months.

Hmmmm...so what do you think? Am I over-reaching?

Yes, I was thinking the same thing, onlygh. I definitely had that impression from those scenes, also. I must say I will be glad for this transition if it comes about.

I enjoy a well-written anti-hero, but the mobster as anti-hero has become stale for GH, IMO. They can still have that type of character, just let it be someone else for a change, like a cop...or even a doctor!

I believe that revitalizing the PCPD will also put a little more oomph in the PC mob. As you mention, the mobsters have gotten stale...they've got it too easy. A few wins for the police could put the mobboys on edge a little more...I wouldn't mind seeing on GH a war between the mob and the police (as opposed to another mob vs. mob storyline...which have become de rigueur on GH over the last few years). I think Dominic Zamprogna and Jonathan Jackson have the acting chops and charisma necessary to bring cool (and sexy) back to the PCPD.

Seems like we've seen very few scenes in the police station lately and none in the courtroom for quite a while. Time to dust off those sets.

I'm still hoping they bring a little bit of Night Shift type medical drama to GH as well where they could showcase that part of the cast, Patrick, Robin...maybe even Matt?! I would enjoy that.

Meanwhile, wondering if Dante will somehow end up on the PCPD.

Plus, if those two end up working together, it is going to make for an extra fine looking team. I'm actually really excited to see how Lucky and Dante are with each other. The most development we have had with those two together is Lucky hating on Dante because he thinks he is a criminal and that he is getting a little too close to his baby sister. I also think they have both got the good moral thing going on, enough to end up friends. And we all know they both need friends.

The last few post were great. I do see the tide changing though not completely (what fun would that be) but it's not going to be business as usual in Port Chuckles. I would love seeing PCPD v. the mob storyline. It would definitely be very compelling because nothing is ever black and white.
Dante and Lucky as partners would be interesting. They are both overall good guys with a bit of an edge to them.

In a perfect world GH would have a healthy balance of typical soap fare(romance, cheating,home-wrecking, disasters), mob/police, hospital, and since this is GH your everyday psychopath on the lose SL thrown in (read: the Cassadines & Jerry).

Hi 2caliente! I'm really anxious to see Dante and Lucky in a scene together. I have a feeling there's going to be an interesting chemistry there. I love your assessment that they are all-around good guys but they have an edge. GH has really been lacking in the male-buddy pairing department in recent years. I believe Dante and Lucky could be a pairing with some of the pizazz we used to get in the glory years with Luke and Robert and Sean. I'm wondering what's going to happen with Lucky and Dante once all of the secrets in their lives are revealed...will they stay police officers? OR will they go rogue? It could be fun to see the both of they quit the police department and go after the mobbies on their own. There's lots of storyline potential here...that's for sure.

You have read my mind! Can't believe someone actually said what I have been thinking the past few weeks about the PCPD! I believe it would be good for GH to go back to the hospital and police. Dante would be the best suited to help turn this around! You can still have good s/l with both of these areas being hit instead of the mob. Many boards are not happy with the mob, I mean, what are you going to lose?! I bet, nothing. In fact, all these posters who do nothing but send hate to all these message boards, just might have to ACTUALLY turn on their TV's and watch these great episodes instead of not and still griping!
