Who does Helena think she is comparing Liz to Laura? I know everything that happened with Stefan and Stavos, but you can't compare Laura and Liz by any means. Liz is nothing like Laura in any way like that.

No Liz is nothing like Laura and neither is the situation... But you have to look at who said it and why....
She wants to believe that Stavos was suduced by Laura and Nicholas was suduce by Liz... That they are somehow innocent of all guilt... Yet we know this isn't true with either case... Helena is a lunatic... What would suprise anyone about what she said?

I believe the reason why she compared the two is because yes the situations were different but one thing is the exact same. They both pitted two brothers against each other Laura pitted two brothers against each other involuntarily because she was being held captive, but Liz is doing the same thing. The difference is that Liz is doing it voluntarily because she slept with Nik on purpose of her own free will she was not held prisoner...Laura was a captive not a willing participant.

I do think there are ways they they are alike, but I think way Helena meant was in a twisted sort of way.

Laura turned to Stefan and they later renewed their affair to Lukes dismay.

Laura and Liz are women that are seen as "good" "angelic" family women that have a thing for "bad boys"

I would say what is not similar is that Liz wont own her stuff, she is whiney and would like to pretend she fell into her illicit situations and she will lie to protect her image. That is a character flaw. Somehow though there is always a noble reason.. hummmm
Laura's flaw for a long time was that she would have liked to change the man but would end up changing herself to be wih the man she loves.

Yes Liz slept with Nicholas of her own free will and agree to marry Lucky. Her failure was agreeing to remarry Lucky. I do think she loves him? Yes. However, she is not in love with him... Still she doesn't want to hurt him... However people have short term memories here... Lucky did the same thing to her with Saraha... Yet noone wants to except that Lucky is not a saint. No Liz isn't a saint either but it's was never her that put that halo up there... She has never said she was perfect only that she is living her life..

As for Liz owning her stuff I think today when she openly said, "Lucky doesn't deserve what I'm doing to him." negates that statement but that's another point altogether...

Last Laura never had to pit Stavos and Stephon against eaach other Helena had done that years before... Doesn't anyone remeber the discussions between Stephon and Alexis about how she and Stavor treated the two of them?

ok look at who you are talking about....it is helena cassadine she will say anything to pizz someone off it doesn't have to be true it just has to get under their skin!!!! she is EVIL but thats the best thing about her!
