Can Sonny be redeemed?

He has been progressively getting worse ever since he started dating Emily, it has been a long slow decline into the monster tool he is today and NO I dont think he can be redeemed, he is a coward, an idiot, obnoxiously arrogant, a second rate father, terrible friend and just an all around dushe... and I used to LOVE Sonny... In fact I am very sad to see Claudia go because I think she is the perfect punishment for the big goomba. I am very sad for whichever PC woman (Olivia, I am guessing) gets involved with him next because his stench taints every woman he gets involved with.

So pretty much I totally agree. I'm not saying he is beyond redemption entirely because I haze seen some pretty dispicable soap characters return from being absolutley horendous to a saint, ie: Edward Q. who I now love. They did quite a number on Sam and brought her back from the brink, Carly used to be a raging nightmare and now she is my favorite. Nothing in soapland is impossible. But it will be harder for Sonny to come back because they arent writing him as desperate, crazy, evil or manipulative. He's basically just a dushe for lack of a better word. I agree with above, he just kinda sucks at life. The only thing he excels at is being hyper-emotional, vengeful and a big turd head. So I am not sold that he can be redeemed and in another life I was a huge Sonny fan, loved him! Now I cant stand him. I read earlier post about he and Carly getting back together, please! please! please! dont let that happen! That would be awful... I LOVE her and he really does ruin whatever woman he is paried with. He made me dislike Emily, then Kate and his flirting with Olivia nauseates me. He really does deserve to be with Claudia but I guess that is no longer an option. But I really, really do love Carly and I dont care if she's with Jax or not, but I really really hope she never takes sonny back
