General Hospital - MESSAGE BOARDS

Well, we all know that Claudia is leaving PC in November, so Sonny will be without a wife and a woman in his life. We all know that Sonny has to have a woman around. Who do you think that the writers will hook Sonny up with or who do you want the writers to hook Sonny up with?

If they hook him up with someone already on the show, then let's look at the possibilities:
1. Carly....Sure, Carly and Jax are married and are expecting a baby girl very soon. But, Jax knows about Claudia and Jerry's involvement in Michael's shooting. Carly may be so hurt and feel betrayed by Jax, that she decides to leave him. That would make her more vulnerable for Sonny. Carly will also feel betrayed that Jax knew about Dante's paternity and why he is in town and that Jax is working to make sure that Dante takes Sonny down and puts him in prison. Carly's two sons (and Jax's step-sons, whom he proclaims to love) are Sonny's sons as well, and she will not like that Jax is wanting to take their dad away from them and ruin their lives. So, Jax has done A LOT of things that will make it hard for Carly to forgive him. Carly may also find it hard to forgive Jax, because they are suppose to trust each other and always be honest with each other. So, that is a betrayal that Carly may not get over so easily. So, I could see Sonny and Carly becoming a couple again soon.
2. Olivia....Sonny acts like he has feelings for Oliva now, but once he finds out that she gave birth to his first child and NEVER told him about it and that the "child" Dante, is now the grown man named "Dominic" working in his organization, he is going to be furious at Olivia for keeping quiet about it. To top it off, once he finds out that Dominic (really, his son Dante) is working as an undercover cop to bring down Sonny and his organization and that Olivia KNEW that Dante is doing this, but yet she hasn't said anything to Sonny or even, Johnny about it and the fact that Dante doesn't even know that he will be bringing down his father, Sonny will be beyond furious at Olivia. I don't think that Sonny will ever forgive that type of betrayal. I also think that Dante will be mad at Olivia for keeping his paternity a secret, considering the undercover case that he is working on and she knows about it. But, I don't think that Dante will really hold it against Olivia and turn his back on her. He will be hurt, but he loves his mom and I think that he will always be there for her and supporting her. I also think that eventually, Dante will forgive Olivia and actually understand why she didn't tell him the truth about the mobster, Sonny, being his biological dad. So, I don't see a future for Sonny and Olivia. (But, I sure hope that Johnny can forgive her, because I love Johnny and Olivia together ).
3. Kate....I don't think that Sonny ever fell out of love with Kate after she was shot at their wedding. He married Claudia shortly after, to try and control the Zacchara organization and to try and find out who shot Kate. Sonny never married Claudia out of love or respect. After Claudia's demise, then that could leave the door wide-open for a Sonny and Kate reunion, BUT once Sonny finds out that Kate knew the truth about Dante's paternity for several years and she recently found out, that he is in town as Dominic working undercover, then Sonny will not forgive Kate for keeping this information from him. So, sadly, it doesn't look like a Sonny and Kate reunion is in the near-future (maybe later on).
4. Alexis.....They have been spending more and more time together and they have a common concern....their daughter Kristina. Once they find out how Keifer has been mistreating her, I think that will make Sonny and Alexis a little closer. I have always thought that Alexis always had this side of her, that still carries a torch for Sonny. Alexis has proven that she is attracted to dangerous men, but if she does have any feelings for Sonny, I think that she will try to hide them and fight them. She is too stubborn to give in to those feelings. The writers may decide to pair Sonny up with Alexis, but I think that it will play out for a while, because I can't see Alexis just hopping into a relationship with Sonny, like as soon as Claudia is out of the picture. So, a Sonny and Alexis pairing seems plausible.
5. Brenda....I know that this one may seem the most far-fetched one at the moment, because she is not even in PC, but from time to time, we always hear rumors of Vanessa Marcil returning to her GH roots as Brenda. If she does, then I could definitely see a Brenda and Sonny hook-up. Since they were uber-popular in the 1990's, the writers may decide to capitalize on their popularity and chemistry and rewrite them as a couple.

So, what do any of you think?

I'm still hoping for Sonny to get his 25 years-to-life storyline (courtesy of Dante), so that romance will no longer be a factor in his life. Sonny is the Heroine Squasher Extraordinaire of GH. The women who are thrown into his harem never emerge unscathed. As Sam so sagely put it not so long ago, "he needs to keep it in his pants." Plus, Alexis nicely followed up a few weeks back, by telling him, "...stop procreating..."

I think that Sonny and Carly will turn to and lean on each other when the truth comes out but I hope not romantically. When they discover that they have been betrayed but almost everyone they care about (Claudia, Jax, Olivia, Jason, Kate, Michael,by not sharing his memories, Nik, Johnny, not that they care much about them, Did I forget anyone?) who else are they going to turn to?

I would say hook him and Rebecca up. Why not? He cared for Emily once. Nic dosen't want Rebecca and she is going to figure that out soon. Being that her character is there (Natalia Livingstone back) she just can't be working at the hospital all the time (like Amy was in the old days). So...that could be interesting. I'm not kidding either.

I think that Sonny will be all over Oli like white on rice. He needs someone tough like Diane. Who isn't gonna take his crap. Good luck with that.

As far as him and Carly. Please not again. Let it go. Kate-maybe.

Im still thinkin he needs to go to shady brook or whatever the mental hospital is there, if not then he just needs to be single awhile, maybe focus completely on his kids

i will miss claudia ,i think she has brought real drama to our drama hahaha ,,,,and i would love to be sonnys new wife hahah

I figure it will be Olivia. Once Claudia is gone, SOlivia will start to bond and grow closer and just as they are about to be happy, TPTB will drop the bombs. Yes, bombs pural; That Livvie knew about Claudia's involvement in Mikey's shooting and that Dominic is really Dante undercover cop and Dante is really Sonny's son!

I think it's very possible that we're going to see a Sonny/Carly pair up. Whether this lasts that's a different story. I don't know that it's going to lead to another walk down the aisle, but a Carly/Sonny pairing also allows the writers to amp up the Jax/Sonny rivalry again. While I think the Sonny/Carly relationship has been done to death it just seems like the logical direction for the writers to go in.

I want the Kate and sonny love story to play out. She is a strong independent woman and I love them together. It would be a good way to bring "ole dimples" back to life.

He and Carly are good buddies and will always care about each other and maybe someday....... but I want him with Kate.

I like Olivia and Johnny together. They rock each others worlds.........

I also liked him with Brenda - but that ship has sailed...

I want Sonny back with Carly.

I want Sonny to take a long jump off a short pier.

Celibate Sonny for 2010 gets my vote.
