Hey ladies!

Well today wasn't a good Danlu day for me.....Lulu bothered the crap out of me, what is up with her joking around about Dante's life and why is Dante okay with it.

Remember this is only my opinion and I understand that others see things differently. I wish they weren't even on today.

Hello All! Good DanLu scenes today especially the final ones at the restaurant. Remember two things here:

1. This is a soap couple. No angst = No couple. We're not getting third party angst (de rigueur in soaps) so we're going to be pounded with non-third party angst.

2. The writers are setting up here a will she? won't she? suspense story. They're doing a darn fine job too because even I was sitting there today thinking...gosh, she wouldn't really rat him out would she?

What I really liked about today's scenes is that Dante has Lulu figured out. He's not going to go the drama-king route with her (like Johnny and Logan were fond of doing). He presented his case, then cooly said if it's my last day, I want a great last meal and then he took Lulu on a date. You gotta love this guy. First, how sexy is a man who knows great food and wants to share it with his new love. Second, he knows that the more she gets to know him, the harder it's going to be for her to even contemplate going to Sonny. Plus, he was doing a great job making sure her wine glass was topped off... ...wonder if we'll get a buzzy kiss on the docks...

As I mentioned the other day...fasten your seatbelts DanLuites...the angst is HERE and it's not going away until the reveal. I do suspect that Franco's entrance next week should successfully divert everyone's attention for awhile at least.

I agree with 2 and only. We gotta fasten out seatbelts because this is going be quick. If everyone finds out about Dante next week, then Lulu doesn't have to feel the push and pull of keeping it a secret. Plus, when Johnny finds out, what is this going to do to them? As stated above, I would much rather than this angst than a third person! But Dante is smart, he is gonna win her over without her even knowing he did it. My only thing is, when will he admit he wants her?

I loved Dante today and Lulu is my favorite female character on the show. So, I love Lulu too but I don't like how they are writing her right now and discounting her past experiences with Sonny/Johnny.

There were some awesome scenes today and hopefully we'll get some tomorrow. I loved the cowbrains and snake comments and swapping childhood stories.

I don't mean to rain on the Danlu love parade here. I am still 100% in love with the pairing and hopelessly shipping all the way. hehe.

So, my apologies if anyone was offended by my posts.

I agree with onlygh that angst is just a part of the bargain with a soap couple, and that the writers are trying to create suspense with whether Lulu will keep the secret.

Bottom line is she is being completely honest and open with him about her struggles (how refreshing, really) and he is also completely honest with her; he is not backing down from his assignment, period. All this honesty means that they are building a solid foundation for a future relationship (yippee...can't happen soon enough). When she doesn't betray him, we can add trust to the honesty, which will serve Dante very well when his whole life implodes.

I don't see her as joking around with Dante's life, I interpret her humor as a coping mechanism for the fear and anxiety of this situation.

That being said, I am looking foward to the Franco story and the big reveal, the writers have a gold mine of material here and I'm anxious to see what they do with it!

Ok I have been following the conversations in here long enough to feel comfortable posting.

First, I did actually like all of the scenes today. I am confident that Lulu will not spill Dante's secret to Sonny. If she were going to tell Sonny, she would have went to him right away and told all, but she didn't. The fact that she went to Dante (and Olivia) to talk about it shows that she does care what happens to him. She knows if the truth comes out that Dante will be in a dangerous situation. Plus, the more she talks to him about it, the closer they become and the harder it is for her to remember why she thinks she should tell Sonny the truth about Dante.

Second, I love that Lulu is being written as take charge and not timid and blindly trusting. She found out last week that most everything she knew about the guy was a lie. I don't imagine it would be easy for anyone to trust him easily and right away after finding out that what you believed about him was actually a lie. Even if he turned out to be a good guy, it's still going to be hard to trust him. It's our nature. So I love that she is questioning him and wanting to find out more about him. I don't want her to just let it slide that she found out the truth and that be the end of it. That makes her look weak and too easily trusting. We've seen her that way before and I don't like Lulu that way.

Last, we have to remember what show we are watching. Do we really expect the writers to have everyone turn against Sonny? Not a chance.

Oh and one other thing. Yes, we saw Dante endlessly pursuing Lulu and Lulu not doing much to let Dante know that she liked him. But Lulu initiated both of their kisses (even though the first doesn't really count to me) When is Dante going to initiate a kiss??

i agree with everything that onlygh said like i also do because she is right everytime. i always love when dante and lulu come out together. listen to onlygh she is a wise women.

What I saw today was Dante & Lulu's first date. See, he loves that she is not a yes woman for him, he is very patient with her, he is simply crazy about her and she is becoming that way about him.....

Guys.. today was really very good....

After rewatching the scenes on youtube, I admit maybe I was a little over dramatic. lol I can't help myself sometimes.

I did miss alot of the little details. Did you see Dante take her arm when she came in the door and the way he was looking at her? Really sweet.....

Dang it, would I have ever loved to share a bowl of spaghetti with him.....oohhh lala....

He knows she won't rat him out. He takes her to the Italian Restaurant that is the mob front for Sonny where she could have just walked in and told Sonny, but she didn't do that....

I loved how she got him back about eating snakes for breakfast.....I remember that...
