I really wish the moderators would come up with a new way to handle the people that report bad posts just because they want to. It's really unfair. I think bad posts should have to be read for context and content and measured against the board rules. Also I think that specific couple fan sites should have a rule of some kind of protection from the baiters and haters who come in. However, and not that I'm defending *someone* because that person was totally 100% wrong...this is actually a spoiler thread for Liason. So I guess it kind of would leave the door open to others but not to bash. If someone from another fanbase had a spoiler they wanted to post...then I guess if it was about Liason...good or bad...they'd have a right to post it. But *someone* should be given a restrictive priveledge or a time out or something for going into other fanbase specific threads and being intentionally rude or cruel. That kind of back and forth should be kept to the neutral threads that get posted nearly daily to incite the big debate. Ugghhh this just makes me so aggrevated at times. I want to know how I can become a moderator. I want to effect change. Hit the "Contact Us" button at the bottom of this page... You need to report it, if you think it is unfair..... You would make a great moderator..... Have fun. TS |

I certainly hope that those who feel free to lurk and comment in an opposing fan base's thread are ALSO policing their own fan base's threads for similar infractions. I'd like to think if we lurked in their thread we would see similar comments about similar infractions. If not, why not? |

You might be able to change yr screen name, which is against mb guidelines BTW, but you cannot change yr posting style!!!! I recently joined this message board after "lurking" for almost a year. I was a little intimidated to join because of all of the hostility, but I decided to finally join and see how it goes being on here. But, I am confused about something that you, Meowbowow, wrote. You said that the Raven chick and Kristina30 were the same poster and that it is against board guidelines to change your screen name, but isn't that exactly what you did? I remember reading posts from a meowbowow when I started lurking almost a year ago and then, I remember reading posts from a meow1113. If it is against board guidelines, then why did you change your screen name? I could tell by your posting style and the way you spell certain words and the way you always express yourself, that you were in fact both meowbowow and meow1113. I am not trying to sound mean or stir any pots like that raven girl did, but wouldn't that be hypocritical to say that about her changing her screen name if you did the exact same thing? One thing that I did notice from my year of lurking, is that you will say that other posters are going against the message board rules/guidelines, but I have noticed that you go against the mb guidelines too a lot of times. Is it okay for only certain people to break the rules, but not okay for everyone? I was just wondering, because I don't want to be called out by someone for breaking the rules, when other people are allowed to do it. Again, I am not trying to be mean...I was just wondering how things work on this mb. That ravengirl was way out of line. She deserved to be banned. She had no right to come in here to stir the liason pot. But, I don't think that she and kristina30 are the same poster, but I could be wrong. While I was lurking, I never noticed anything that kristina30 did that would cause her to get banned. She may have started some things, but she didn't do anything more than any other poster on this message board does. She always seemed to stay within her boundaries, but ravengirl did cause a lot of havoc yesterday and she did not stay within her boundaries. I am a jasam fan too and not a liason fan, but she got what she deserved. Hopefully, she won't be back. I am a jasam fan like her, but i would be scared that she may jump down my throat if I said something that she didn't approve of......LOL.. Kristina30 never seemed intimidating like raven did. Oh well, I hope to have an enjoyable posting experience with everyone on this message board and I hope to learn the rules as I go along. I have been posting in different threads today, to get better acclimated to everyone and the posting environment and to see if I will be able to hang with all of you ladies.

Becca, most of us know Meowbowwow is Meow1113. I don't think she has ever kept that a secret. There are some other posters that have two names as well, but have told us they changed their avi names. Because either their faves changed or something. So if one is up front with it then all is well. |

Well, with regard to bashing and hating...within a fanbase thread...ehhh...as long as it's not against the actors...I don't see the harm. In a Liason thread it I said Jasam was skanky...or whatever, that's not so much an infraction. If I were to take my sorry arsed liason behind into a jasam thread and say it...then I should be reported, reprimanded, lashed by my own liason peers for being stoooopid. And I mean specifically fan base threads. Jolu threads should have people that are Dante/Lulu fans ruining their good thread of Jolu love. Same goes for Jasam/Liason. Now...the neutral threads...well then the strictest board guidelines should be adhered. Not just because I don't like that a Jasam person posted that Liason were never in love or that Jasam is Jason's greatest love, should I be allowed to hit the "bad post" button and not have repercussions come back on me for doing so. And I see many times when someone posts in all caps or is new and bashes an actor, that another poster will remind them of the boards rules. |

So if one is up front with it then all is well. Well I don't get the whole name change thing but then to an extent I do. I am on many many MB sites and I'm either alikat alikat224 or alikat0224. I haven't had any reason to change it here but if I were to change from alikat to alikat0224...and honestly...if I were to be away from this mb for say...a year or so...I might not remember what my username was so then I'd have to set up a new account if I didn't have the same email address. So there...I see both sides of the coin. Yet, if you change your name to intentionally fake people out or for some other fraudulent reason...well really what in the world is the point. This is not real life. Just move on right? |

Then I saw this, and thought I could beneficially add my 2-cents!   To my knowledge you CAN change your screen-name IF you properly advise the Board Moderators. Luganismyfav2 changed her name to NoSoup4You in this legal fashion.  The male portion of her fav couple was whacked  so she wanted a new identity, let the board know, and she was reborn.  I think it is just especially off limits to change your name IF you've already been banned.  They don't want you back under ANY name then!  ~MorWeb/Diane Sporadically watching, still disgusted...
