BIOGRAPHY

Born in Los Angeles, the beautiful King was discovered when she was a child accompanied by her mother who was a former actress who spent many years behind the nurses' station on ABC Daytime's General Hospital.

Kent's inspirational actresses were Dorothy Dandridge and Marilyn Monroe. Earning a degree in Cinema-Television from the University of Southern California.

Kent King joined the cast of General Hospital in December 2005 as the intelligent and highly respected Dr. Lainey Winters. She was put on recurring status in June of 2008.

Kent currently resides in the Los Angeles area with fianc�e Kelly and their two cats and a dog. In her free time, she enjoys reading and practicing Bojuka, a form of self defense.
