What danger is lurking? (Soaps.com)
GH Rundown for the week of October 19!

The C077X mystery is really grabbing me. I’m glad we’re seeing a little more of what’s in the loft when they pan over it because I was a bit concerned it was going to be the same thing every time and that would just be boring. Also, the music is ominous enough to make me wonder what is going on and the shots of Jason lead me to assume it has something to do with James Franco’s upcoming character, since he is supposed to be bad news for Stone Cold. Thinking it has something to do with James Franco makes me even more excited as I can’t wait to see the A-list actor in Port Charles.

Except for a few fun one-liners from her, everything with Helena this go around felt really odd. I realize they have pushed the Spencer/Cassadine storyline back a bit, but bringing her on, having her kidnap Luke, Valentin poisoning her and her coming to Port Charles just seemed really anti-climactic, disjointed and dull. Now she’s off camera again. I can only hope when she returns, along with Valentin, it will be a little more interesting and it makes sense.

I was so happy to see Max and Diane this week! Of course, there wasn’t enough of them, but I loved that they finally explained what’s been going on and that Diane tried to tell Max she thought of him more than just her ‘love puppet’. Of course things got out of hand and he threw Louise in her face and she threw her man in his, if she does in fact have a man in Philadelphia. I would have liked to have seen more of them, rather than Jason and Sam rescuing a pregnant woman we don’t know or even Sonny and Claudia in Puerto Rico. Even though I know there was a point to both those things.

Speaking of those couples, Jason finally got the proof he needed regarding Claudia’s involvement in Michael’s shooting. It was a little convoluted, but he found Ian’s CD containing his conversations with Jerry and Claudia planning the hit on Sonny in the hospital's lost and found, and really, it’s about time. I personally can’t wait until Sonny finds out, which will be this week, and goes all mobster on her butt. I hope it lives up to the anticipation.

The sex talk. (Soaps.com)
Jason and Spinelli’s scene was pretty interesting when The Jackal refused to do what it took to implicate Claudia. I was happy to see Spinelli stand up to Jason and not just blindly do whatever he wanted. I almost forgot we knew that Claudia is guilty and believed Jason was just on a witch hunt, because he looked so crazed in trying to find any sliver of evidence against her, but alas, Claudia is responsible and Jason, as usual, is right.

I liked Alexis and Robin’s exchange about Robin having fun doing some detective work on the Brianna Hughes case. I think it’d be fun to see her and Patrick do more of that together. They helped Jason and Sam a little last week, but I’d like to see them solve another case, while having fun and being sexy of course.

Dominic and Lulu have quickly become one of my favorite burgeoning couples. Their flirty banter is cute and fun, but even their more serious scenes are compelling to watch. Watching Lulu become genuinely affected by Dominic as he talked about trying to find his real father when he was a teenager was great and I loved her line about leaving before he drew her in even further.

Speaking of great interactions, Dominic and Kristina shared a wonderful one as well. Him giving her advice and offering to beat Kiefer up was such a brotherly thing to do, even though he doesn’t know he’s her brother yet. It was sweet and then funny when he uncomfortably asked her if she had a mother she could talk to about sex, instead of him. The man really does have a good rapport and chemistry with everyone on the canvas doesn’t he?

I was happy to see Kate and Coleman interact again, but I would have liked to have seen them play up her embarrassment from the night of Maxie and Spinelli’s reception more, while he continued to hit on her, of course. I would also like to see them go upstairs to use that room above Jake’s next time. I sense great potential there.

Well, that’s it for me this week. What did you think? Feel free to share your thoughts below.

Glad someone else likes Coleman and Kate together.

I have been waiting for him to give her the call she signaled him to make last time she was being dragged out of Jakes. I really loved the way she slipped back to her Bensonhurst days when she changed the white wine to beer with a whiskey chaser, then blow me if she didn't knock back half the bottle!!

I guess it is lonely at the top, especially when you are shot at the altar during your wedding, then your fiance forgets all about you and marries someone else and your cousin shows up with his illegitimate child, and the writers change the history so that Olivia was his first love and not you! Kate needs a good down and dirty fling with a real man, and Coleman is just the man for it. I just hope TPTB put her back on contract, especially if we are going to see less of Diane ad Max.

You two aren't alone! I love the potential of Kate and Coleman. I don't think I'd ever want them on the front burner as a main pairing, but I'd love them as a secondary s/l to add some spice in the background.

I was actually disappointed in the Max/Diane scenes. These two have been together long enough that we should start going a little deeper with them than just comedic releif. Granted CH does comedy wonderfully (as seen on Couger Town), but I'd like to see Max crack that tough exterior. I'm bummed that the s/l rumor about Max having more long-lasting injuries didn't come about so we could see both these actors stretch a little.

Loved BA's scenes with SB. Finally, Spinelli stood up for what he thought was right and did it in a clear (for Spinelli) and staunch way.

There is a saying pride cometh before a fall or something like that. Claudia is basking in Sonny's praise but all she has done will go out the window once he learns the truth. For a man who values loyalty, he certainly doesn't show any loyalty to those around him.

Sonny guilty feelings don't impress me much. Do you think once he learns the truth, he will stop to think how his irrational actions (kidnapping, torturing Johnny) started the chain of events? I somehow doubt it.

Jason seems to be turning into Sonny right before my eyes. Is there a full moon? He is irrational and I am glad that Spinelli stood up to him even though I wish he would have been more forceful in a way that it out of character for him so Jason would sit up and take notice.

I have to wonder if Kristina is beginning to realize what kind of guy she is so crazy about. I like Dante's answer to her about how guys respect women and those that don't aren't worth the time.
