Tania tells William that everyone always leaves her. He tells her that he has no choice to leave. Tania tells him to that she loves him and wants to go with him. William tells her that she is right and that she shouldn't be left behind. He instructs her to wait for him to return from packing his things. Lexi gets a visit from Hans and Harold at Michelle Miller Designs. They tell her that they are in the market for a job and thought that she would like to hire them. Lexi tells them that she is looking for a more sophisticated look, but she will put them on the mailing list. Harold informs her that she is no Maria Gianni and she has no talent. Lexi tells them to leave before she has them thrown out.
Falling Apart at the Seams
Hans and Harold hang around Gianni and work on taking the inventory. They are saddened that after the inventory their time there will be done. When Hans runs across Michelle's first dress, Harold tells him about how Maria blackmailed him to steal Michelle's designs. Hans tells Harold that he can't believe that Maria would treat them like that after all of the good years that they gave her. He takes a handful of dresses and says that he is starting them a new retirement plan.
Hans and Harold take some of the dresses to Nikki's and tell her to pick out whatever she wants. Before they leave they tell her that she should consider becoming a modeling agent. Nikki tells Michelle that she should invite herself to New York if Luke didn't invite her. Michelle insists that he needs to figure his life out there and she will figure hers out in Los Angeles. They head outside and burn some of the dresses on the grill. Michael arrives and tells them that they are cut off from drinking! He tells Nikki that he agrees that her becoming an agent is the perfect idea! The three of them head back inside as Eddie and his men watch from the SUV. Eddie insists that if they can't get Michelle alone, they will just get them all! Back inside Michelle gets a call from the police station telling her that they need her to come down and identify a body that they believe to be Lance. Eddie and his crew approach the front door of Nikki's apartment as she finishes her call with the police.
In Loving Memory
Tania steps up (in a not so sober state) and says that she has always seen Maria as a nurturing mother for the models. She credits Maria with being loving and firm at the same time. She loses her train of thought and heads back to her seat as the congregation stares at her. Hans and Harold step up to go, but Lexi cuts in front of them. She informs the crowd that she was Maria's longest running assistant. She gives Maria credit for giving her the confidence to survive in the business world. She thanks Maria for that confidence that has lead to her starting her own business….Lexi Walker Designs. Michelle asks Luke if he is okay, and he tells her that he is going to kill everyone in the church!
Maria's house keeper steps up and the priest lowers the podium so that she can see the people. She compares Maria to the Virgin Mary….only not a Virgin. Tania interrupts the silence in the audience when John Cotter tries to get by her to the aisle, by screaming for him to get off of her! Everyone turns around to see what is going on. John steps up and tells everyone that he and Maria always had a special love of one another. He says that she assured him that he would always have a family and a home at Gianni. He looks at her picture and tells her that she will be deeply loved and missed. John acts as to wipe a tear away as he heads back to his seat. Hans and Harold step up and take credit for being two of the few that have known Maria the longest. They credit her with being strong willed and protective….over them and her family. They tell the crowd that they have decided to express their feelings in song rather than words. The designing duo pays tribute to her by singing Ava Maria.
Maria's Final Bow
Sophia tells William that it would be a shame to allow the invitation to the fashion show to be wasted…..especially when there is havoc that they could cause. Sophia goes to her room and puts a gun in her purse. Maria promises Hans and Harold that tonight will be a night that no one will forget! Tania goes to see her old manager to try and get a modeling job. She drops the photos and loses her temper at the restaurant. He tells her that her modeling career is over and that she can thank Maria Gianni for that! Tania storms out of the restaurant and downs a few pills from her purse.
Maria, Hans and Harold work backstage to get the models all ready for the show. John shows up and tells Maria that he needs her. She informs him that it took them 3 weeks to finish what he could never accomplish in his career. She demands that he get out of her sight. Lance arrives and tells Maria that he needs his ten percent payout immediately so that he can leave. Lance shows her a gun in his jacket and says that he will see her after the show for the money. Maria tells him that he doesn't hold all of the cards and that she can easily tell Eddie that the best way to hurt him…..is to hurt Michelle! Lance insists that she wouldn't do that, but Maria quickly informs him that she is capable of anything!
Hans and Harold stress out behind the scenes as the guests arrive and take their seats. Michael and Michelle arrive, but don't see Nikki. William, Sophia, Eddie, Lance, Lexi and Tania have arrived as well. John visits Maria again backstage and begs to be on her team, but she tells him that it is over for him and has him escorted out by security. The music starts and the show begins. Luke interrupts his mother backstage and tells her that they need to talk right now. He demands to know if she pushed Nikki down the stairs. She avoids the question, but Luke keeps asking her to tell him if she did it. Michael spots Nikki across the room and points her out to Michelle.
Down to the Wire Part Dos
Maria meets with Hans and Harold to see the final designs. The designing duo finally has several dresses that she approves of! She reminds them both that she loves them. She then tells them that she has to call Clive to get him to stop the filing of the papers to fire them!
Hans and Harold work with the models before the show. Maria tells Lexi that she is proud of her and wants to know why she has the long face. Lexi tells her that she feels bad for Michelle, but Maria quickly informs her that it is just part of business. As she leaves Maria warns her that she had better never steal information from her again. Lexi tells her that it is good to be back with her too!
