Luke goes to GATE and meets with the caller…..John Cotter. John tells him that all he has to do is sign over the entire company of Gianni to him and he will give him the information. Luke tells him that he is lying but John insists that he is not and gives him ten seconds to come to his senses. Luke punches John and the police rush over. They inform him that he is under arrest for extortion and withholding evidence. John is shocked to find out that Luke is wearing a wire. As John is rushed off to jail Luke and the Detective agree that they can't believe the name of the killer that John had written down. Michelle calls Luke and tells him that it had to be Eddie that killed Maria. As Luke tells her that he knows who the killer is, there is a knock at the door. Nikki goes to answer it right before the door is kicked in. The door hits Nikki and knocks her to the ground. Michelle screams as Michael is shot twice by Eddie's men. Michelle drops her phone and is dragged away as Nikki and Michael lay unconscious on the floor. Luke tells the detective what is going on and they rush out of the bar.
In Loving Memory
Maria's house keeper steps up and the priest lowers the podium so that she can see the people. She compares Maria to the Virgin Mary….only not a Virgin. Tania interrupts the silence in the audience when John Cotter tries to get by her to the aisle, by screaming for him to get off of her! Everyone turns around to see what is going on. John steps up and tells everyone that he and Maria always had a special love of one another. He says that she assured him that he would always have a family and a home at Gianni. He looks at her picture and tells her that she will be deeply loved and missed. John acts as to wipe a tear away as he heads back to his seat. Hans and Harold step up and take credit for being two of the few that have known Maria the longest. They credit her with being strong willed and protective….over them and her family. They tell the crowd that they have decided to express their feelings in song rather than words. The designing duo pays tribute to her by singing Ava Maria.
Luke goes up front to say a few words. With his eyes filled with tears, he tells them that there is a lot that he doesn't know about his mother. He tells them that he does know that she loved him and would do whatever it took to protect him. He informs them that she was a flawed woman and that she had a habit of acting without thinking. He then tells them that as far as he is concerned her murderer could be in the room right now. He accuses William and Sophia (she destroyed their family), Lexi (she humiliated her and now Lexi has her own career), Tania (she ruined her career), John (we all know what you are capable of) and Nikki (she pushed her down a flight of stairs killing her baby). Michelle stands up to stop him, but Lance tells Michelle that it could even be her! She takes her seat and Luke tells them that he will honor his mother's name and find out who killed her!
Maria's Final Bow
Maria, Hans and Harold work backstage to get the models all ready for the show. John shows up and tells Maria that he needs her. She informs him that it took them 3 weeks to finish what he could never accomplish in his career. She demands that he get out of her sight. Lance arrives and tells Maria that he needs his ten percent payout immediately so that he can leave. Lance shows her a gun in his jacket and says that he will see her after the show for the money. Maria tells him that he doesn't hold all of the cards and that she can easily tell Eddie that the best way to hurt him…..is to hurt Michelle! Lance insists that she wouldn't do that, but Maria quickly informs him that she is capable of anything!
Hans and Harold stress out behind the scenes as the guests arrive and take their seats. Michael and Michelle arrive, but don't see Nikki. William, Sophia, Eddie, Lance, Lexi and Tania have arrived as well. John visits Maria again backstage and begs to be on her team, but she tells him that it is over for him and has him escorted out by security. The music starts and the show begins. Luke interrupts his mother backstage and tells her that they need to talk right now. He demands to know if she pushed Nikki down the stairs. She avoids the question, but Luke keeps asking her to tell him if she did it. Michael spots Nikki across the room and points her out to Michelle.
Gun fire shoots from the crowd and Maria falls to the ground. Luke rushes to her side, and as she falls to the ground she tells him not to forget that she loves him. Tania tries to leave, but is told by security that she must stay in the room. The paramedics arrive and load her onto the stretcher. Eddie spots Lance and tries to get to him, but he is stopped by security too. John takes off his jacket and suspiciously wraps up something in it.
Down to the Wire Part Dos
Tania and John run into each other at SUKU. She tells him to keep dreaming if he thinks that Maria will hire him back. He tells her that he is planning on going to the fashion show tomorrow night and that she should as well. John leaves and Tania gives the suggestion some thought.
Safe Haven
John stops by to see Lexi and Michelle. He asks Lexi to lunch but Michelle tells him to leave. Lexi tells her that she had to flirt with John to get into Maria's office the other day. Michelle tells her not to trust him but Lexi assures her that she can handle John. Michael goes to see Luke and tells him that he feels horrible. Luke tells him that he does not care and orders him to leave. Luke brings up Nikki and how he is pathetic for crying over Nikki all of this time. Michael tells him to shut-up and punches him. Luke stands up and the fight between the 2 of them is on. Both busted lips when Michael finally leaves.
Lexi and John have lunch. He tells her that he thinks that she is really beautiful. Lexi asks him flat out what this is all about. When he tells her that he needs a job, she tells him that the lunch is over. She informs him that she was just using him to get the keys. She also tells him that surely he knows that she is a smart girl…..and that he will never work for her! Lexi thanks him for lunch and walks out.
Nothing Ventured...Nothing Capital Gained
Luke calls John and tells him to meet him at SUKU for lunch. Luke tells John that he is really pathetic. He informs him that his pathetic attempt to blackmail Maria accomplished nothing. Luke then tells John that the difference between him and Maria is that at least his mother is good at blackmailing! He insists that John is a loser that could not even manipulate his way to the top and that Michelle would have never slept with him. He throws money at John and tells him to enjoy his lunch. Luke then leaves as John sits at the bar dumbfounded!
