Michelle arrives and sees that the dress doesn't fit her right. She then tells them that she hired them both because she knew that they could wear very different garments. Michelle informs Tania that if she has any questions as to why she hired them then she can just leave….because she doesn't need her! Sophia calls William from behind the scenes. She gloats that she has found another weapon to add to their arsenal. They hang up, and Sophia goes to Michelle and tells her that she admires the way that she has put all of this together. She then tells her that when she takes over the company, she is going to make sure that Michelle gets all of the credit she deserves. Sophia turns around and sees Maria listening. She tells her that she was wondering when she was going to show up to take all of the credit for this!
Luke hears a knock on the door and is surprised when he sees that it is William….holding an envelope. Luke tries to shut the door without talking to him, but William tells him to look at what is in the envelope and he will leave. He tells Luke that this hasn't just been all about their father. He informs Luke that theses are copies of his bank records….specifically the ones connected to his trust fund. Luke asks William where all his money is, and William informs him that for the past couple of years Maria has been stealing from his trust fund!
Lexi storms past Harold and he wants to know what is wrong. He can tell that it has to do with Maria and gives her a hug telling her that it will all be ok. Maria makes an appointment for someone to come and view some of her jewelry that she has decided to sale. William enters her office and sarcastically insists that he gave her that watch as a symbol of his love and affection….and that he is hurt. Maria screams for Lexi to call security, but William gloats the Lexi isn't there and that he passed her leaving in tears. He informs Maria that she has just left herself alone in this world! Hans tells Lexi that Tania has always had too much attitude for her high heels…but this it too much. Harold tells Lexi that this has nothing to do with her and everything to do with Maria. Hans informs Lexi that Maria has never promoted an assistant….and this plays heavily on her mind. They tell her that she should soak up all of the knowledge that she can and move on with it later. Michelle walks up and wants to know what is going on. Lexi tells her that she needs to tell her what really happened that night. As Michelle informs her that she doesn't want to hear it, Lexi promises her that it will be worth it! Maria asks William how he could humiliate her so publicly. He says that it is the least he could do after what she did to his father. He reaches in his pocket and gives her back his toothbrush. He tells her that she will pay him back his money in eight days or The House of Gianni will have a new family in it!
William and Sophia gloat over breakfast. They want to find something to ruffle Maria's feathers again today. William defends Luke to his mother and says that he is innocent in this. William and Sophia agree that Luke must abandon Maria!
Dr. Woods calls Maria and leaves her a message wondering why she hasn't made an appointment with him…..especially after what happened at the wedding! He tells her that she can't shut herself off from the rest of the world. He hangs up the phone and tells William (who is sitting on his desk the entire time) that he can't make someone schedule an appointment. William quickly informs the Doctor that he is paying him too much money for him not to make it happen. He then tells him that if he doesn't come through, then Maria will find out about his involvement with all that's happened and his career will be over faster than he can say “I've got daddy issues”!
Luke takes his frustrations out on his punching bag as William walks in. Luke tells him that there is nothing else for them to discuss. William insists that Luke might like to know a little more about his father….and shows Luke a photo of him. William tells him that Charles was a generous, unique man and a lot of fun to be around. William then gives Luke some of the artwork that Charles did, and told him that he was saving it for Luke. He then invites him to come and see others if he would like. Luke tells him that they are brothers, but he will never be able to forgive him for what he has done to his mother.
Luke pounds on the door of William's house and once let in, he punches William in the head! William holds him off telling him it's time he heard his side of the story. Luke explains what Maria told him, but William smirks and asks him to sit and discuss it. He's concerned he will be hit again! William warns Luke that hearing this story will make him think differently about his mother. William tells a curious Luke that he is the son of Charles and Sophia Blakely. He goes on to tell Luke that Charles Blakely is also his father…not Antonio Gianni. He tells Luke the story about how Maria left his father Charles….and that later caused him to commit suicide. When Luke accuses William of lying to him, William tells him to get a DNA test to prove the truth.
William and his mystery lady talk on the phone while Maria sleeps. She tells him that today is the culmination of all these years of work. He tells her that it was almost too easy and Maria wakes up. She jokes around about wedding cake and William ensures that she has the traditional items (old, borrowed, new…). William then gives her an old ring handed down from his family over several generations. She wishes that he had some family attending the wedding, but he insists that they will be there in spirit. He tells her that he is the luckiest guy in the world.
William meets with his mystery lady in person. She absolutely loves the necklace that he bought for her. He tells her that she looks beautiful and that he is heading over to the blessed event shortly. They laugh as she tells him that the anticipation is killing her!
Harold and Hans save Lexi by bringing her a dress to wear and promise to take care of Maria while she changes. Luke and Michael arrive ready to go in their tuxedos. William tells Luke that he isn't nervous at all and that he feels like he has pictured this moment his entire life. He then tells Luke that meeting him was one of the best parts about this whole affair with his mother. Michael interrupts for a photo opportunity of the two of them. The mystery lady dresses in red for the ceremony and finally has a face. It is indeed Sophia Blakely.
