Gloria brings Alec some flowers so that his room will not look so depressing. The doctor stops in and wonders where Eddie has been, but she insists that he shouldn't be around Alec that much. He offers her support and tells her that she should never give up. Michelle tells Lexi that she is having trouble focusing on her work since the shooting. Lexi tells her that she has to figure out how to get rid of the nightmares and that going to visit Alec may make her feel better. When she arrives she finds Luke and Gloria in the room. Luke excuses himself and Michelle gives Gloria some flowers. Michelle asks her how she is doing and Gloria tells her that she is also having dreams about the incident. Michelle tells her that this is horrible and that she would have never wanted this to happen to her or Alec. Gloria tells her that she is sorry too….for everything and touches Michelle's arm.
Dark Days Dawn
Eddie and Gloria continue to stay at the hospital for Alec. Eddie tries to talk Gloria into going home to get some rest, but she refuses to go. Manny stops by to tell Eddie about a situation with another employee of his. Eddie tells Gloria that he has to leave and take care of some things and for her to call if she needs anything. Eddie tells Manny that he thinks that he knows how to handle the situation.
Gloria goes home for awhile and cries all alone in her mother's bed. She ignores the door bell and is surprised when Lance walks in. Lance asks Gloria why she was at the site of the shooting to start with. She tells him that she was just going to apologize to Michelle. He asks her if there is anything that he can do for her and she tells him that there is. She tells him that he can leave…..forever!
Second Chances
Eddie tries to convince Gloria that everything is going to be ok and that he is going to move her and Alec into a real home. Gloria tells him that Alec would not be in this situation if it wasn't for him! He reminds her that she is the one that wanted the hit and then demands to know what she was doing there to start with. She tells him that it should have been her that was hit instead of Alec. She tells him that he has lost his right to care about them by being in his dirty world and that she will never forgive him. He grabs her and tells her that she is a real hypocrite, but they end up sharing a hug after the harsh words.
Dr. Evans comes to see Gloria and Eddie and tells him that he wants them to know that their son was quite a fighter! The parents look devastated until he informs them that he believes that it is what helped him survive! Gloria and Eddie are thrilled to know that he is hanging in there. He will be in ICU for a few days until he is out of critical condition. Eddie tells her that Alec is a fighter….just like them, but Gloria insists that he just got lucky…that they all did.
Dr. Evans tells Gloria that she can see Alec now but that it may shock her because he is hooked up to so many machines. He insists to her that he is doing fine and that she has to have faith. She tells him that she is very grateful. Lance and Michelle arrive at dinner. Lance tries to pour on the charm and tells her that he misses her so much. She tells him that she thought that this was going to just be a friendly dinner. He begs her to please give him another chance. She tells him that she only wants to e friends and wants to focus on her career right now. He Holds her hand and says okay.
The Heart Attack
Gloria sits alone in the waiting room at the hospital. The doctor tells her that they were able to stop the bleeding, but that he is still not out of the woods yet. He allows Gloria to see him even though he is still very weak. Gloria tells the doctor that she is not leaving Alec today and that tomorrow morning is her mother's funeral.
Gloria arrives at the church for her mother's funeral. She tells her mother that she was her best friend. She cries and says that she does not know what she and Alec are going to do without her, but that she promises to lead a good and honest life. The priest walks up and she tells him that she is all alone now. He reminds her that we are never alone and gives her a much needed hug.
Gloria goes back to the hospital and remains by Alec's side. Eddie finally arrives and wants to know if Alec is okay. Eddie tells him that he needs to see the doctor. Gloria asks Eddie what they have done, and he tells her not to do this now. He goes to see Alec and tells him that he and Gloria are going to make sure that he does. Alec flat lines and the medical team rushes in and push Eddie and Gloria out! They stand helplessly in the doorway as the team attempt to revive their son.
After the Assassin
Gloria cries hysterically when the hit man shoots her son instead of Michelle. Luke calls for help as Michelle helps Gloria take care of Alec. The hit man (the man that bumped into Lexi and Michelle's table on yesterday's episode) packs his gun up and leaves. Gloria asks Michelle to please not let her baby die. The ambulance arrives and calls for a helicopter to lift him out of there, but they are informed that it will at least be 15 minutes. Lexi comes outside to see what all the commotion is about. Michelle hugs Gloria as the paramedics work on a non-responsive Alec.
