i really hope Nikki is lying to hurt william because there is no way she loves Michael

That was awful. William just seem lost. This from a man who prides him self on always being in control. Michael was crying. Come on Nikki you're my girl and i know you are hurting but look at all bodies you leaving behind here.Were those the clothes Michelle bought for the baby.

It's outrageous how a couple of people here think that William loves Nikki secretly but can't come to grips with his emotions. She was just someone he could use and abuse. He never loved her. Having sex with Tania proved that. He only stayed with her because he thought the baby was his. She would have been history after the third date. He's a player and will move on. Nikki should have played a little harder to get.

I believe William genuinely cared for Nikki and the child. I was a bit surprised by his display of anger, hurt and frustration but he had to let it out. I was glad to see him and Luke talk and laugh together finally.

William himself told Nikki he "cared for her". Like an owner cares for his dog. Pleeeeeeeze!!!Michelle cared for Lance because she was at his bedside when he was hurt. Michael and Luke cared for Tania because they took her to rehab. Luke cared for William because he talked to him at the bar even after all he has done to his mother. Gloria cared for Eddie because she risked going to prison when she was taking out the money from the safe. But none of these people loved or were in love with the people they helped.
Caring for someone and "being in love" with them are two totally different things. I still believe that William is incapable of being in love with anybody, let alone Nikki.

I'd say that William would have genuinely loved his child. Even though he's a straight-up player, all he really wants is to have a family.

It was interesting that he lied to his mother about not being upset about the baby because he wouldn't have to deal with the "burden" of bringing up a child because she was just as excited at the prospect as he was so she's probably the only person who understands how he feels (well, other than Nikki and Michael to some degree).

It was also interesting when he yelled out "I hate her!" when he was throwing the stuff around the room (does anyone remember that?). By "her", do you think he was referring to Nikki, for lying to him about the baby, or to Maria, for trying to hurt him by hurting Nikki and killing what he believed was his child?

I agree with both of you. I don't think William is capable of loving someone in a healthy way. Not yet. He's a lonely, angry guy - but he seems to have good intentions towards Luke and he certainly appeared to want to be a Father.
I think when he yelled about "hating her" he was talking about Maria. She's caused nothing but pain in his life. One loss after another.

William is a stand up guy. He just hates Maria. He has all the money he could ever want. A weird but strong relationship with his mother. And any girl he could possibly want. Why then is he going after Tania and Nikki??
There's no accounting for taste.

I think he had strong feelings for her. Whether it was LOVE...maybe not yet. Her being pregnant just made those feeling grow. Notice when his mother started to call Nikki names for lying to him that he stood up for her. That was a big sign (to me anyway) that he was genuine.

A person with "strong feelings" goes after the person. Not says goodbye at the hospital and never cares to see her again. He didn't even come up to Nikki at Maria's fashion show to see how she was doing. That's not a man that has strong feelings that's a man who has moved on. Michael has gone after her over and over again. Nothwithstanding all the rejection he has gotten. That's a person with "strong feelings" Michael wake up!!!!!!!!!!!

She was a "willing participant" She could have used protection. If every girl waited for the guy to provide the protection, there'd be a lot of babies in this world!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the only reason that Michael did forgive her is because he is madly in love with her, which William was NOT.
