Please tell us a little bit about Joel's childhood. We want to know more personal stuff about him!

wow, that is cool that his mom is a member on the message board. I just want to say that your son is a great actor and brings a lot to the show. Quite handsome as well if i might add.

I think Joel placed a "gag order" on his mom because she hasn't spilled any secrets about him. Come on jiminy cricket tell us some stories about him.

Sorry ladies, didn't mean to leave questions unanswered!! I have not been on site for a few days, between work, play and watching back to back episodes on Tivo!!
First let me say to UCONN06 - it sounds as if you might be Taylor's mom and if so let me tell you I LOVE HIM. He came to NYC with Joel and I spent some time with them...he is just adorable and the women in my office were practically swooning over the two of them. Together they make quite a dynamic duo.
As for Joel's childhood, let me think what I can say that won't get me in trouble with him!!! He is a Sagitarius, born in December, had very blonde hair until he was about 11 or 12. He had his first role in third grade and he played Charlie Brown in "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown". He has always been very athletic and growing up he played soccer, baseball, and tennis both as a youngster and through high school, he also skiied. I insisted he swim on the swim team at our country club and he HATED it. He hated practice always complaining he was cold, lol. He took up golf as a young adult and tells me his handicap is low. He went to private high school in CT which was his choice and I believe he really enjoyed that experience. He is pretty easy going, likes to play games with groups of friends and family, loves live music (certainly nothing I would listen to)and unfortunately I think he really likes living in CA!!! He was a REALLY PICKY eater when he was young, a nightmare at the dinner table - he ended up eating a lot of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches which to this day are his favorite. I sometimes send him some exotic peanut butters from a place in NYC. Hope that satisfies some of your curiosity, he tells he is on MY SPACE and you can find him and more about him there!!

Thank you for tidbits about Joel. We ladies love him. He really is a gorgeous guy.

Madame How are you doing? i already all the lady in the house had send many e-mial regarding your son, you must feel proud. it suprise me when Joel mention in his interview that you were on the side. what a cool lady are you. thats very nice. well tell me about Joel i mean the attitude he have on the show, he is the person in real life? he is really romantic and single lol. well i'm sure you enjoy having Joel your son, any body else. make sure he call you often to thank you for the good work you have done for him, i mean his a great actor, but i'm sure you have a lot to do with it.

To UConn06, could it be that the brothers both hail from CT? I know Taylor wasn't born there but...UConn06??
When Taylor was in NYC he also had the facial hair and they really did look like brothers. They were really so sweet!!! Yes Taylor has the greatest smile and he is as down to earth as Joel is - Taylor has a BIG fan in my office and he graciously allowed me to drag him around the office a bit. The visit was way too short.

Thank you for the kind words. I have found it to be quite humorous that people get so wrapped up in a character that there is a there is somewhat of an assumption that the character is exactly like the real actor. The actors were on so frequently that I find it understandable. When Joel and Taylor do other things, perceptions will certainly change. Like most of the people who like the show, we will miss it quite a bit. It is surreal to see your son on TV every night, but frankly it got to the point I simply just watched and enjoyed the show. What will I have to do after tomorrow??

To Joel's Mom - we are from suburban Philadelphia, much of Tyalor's Bio is incorrect. However, we have and still do spend a lot of time in Connecticut. The extended family has a summer home in Stonington. We enjoy it immensely. Going there again the weekend after next as a matter of fact.
