BIOGRAPHY

Chris DeRose portrays ruthless mob boss Joey Gamarra in the primetime dramas Desire. He is an ex- police officer in New Jersey. Some viewers may be familiar with his autobiography titled In Your Face. He is an animal liberation activist. If fact, he has such passion for protecting animals that he has spent time in jail and even suffered a gun shot wound to the back. Still, he refuses to forget about the animals that need help. He is the founder of Last Chance for Animals, a non-profit organization to support eliminating animal exploitation.

Prior to joining the casts of Desire, DeRose had previous drama experience by appearing on the ABC hit daytime soap opera General Hospital. His other television credits include Cagney & Lacey, Murphy’s Law and the classic police CHiPs . Additionally, he has credits in films such as Lockdown, Breakaway and Aftershock.
