Bo arrives home and after looking at his laptop, wonders what Carly’s up to now. He runs to find her.

At the pier, Mia feels a bond with Carly who seems to understand her. Bo interrupts and takes Carly aside. What’s she doing here? He saw her using his computer and knows what she’s doing. She jokes that she could never pull the wool over his eyes but he’s not laughing. She’s got an extradition charge against her and somebody out to get her. She has to hide! Carly tells Mia she’s got to go and they hug, before Bo and Carly leave.

Kate finds EJ in the morning room. She’s worried about Stefano. She knows there’s a recession but doesn’t want to cut costs when it comes to hiring a hit man. "I can't believe that bastard actually pointed the finger at him. And then this damn 'baby-baby who's got the baby’ game is driving me wild," she says. She tells EJ Sami and Rafe are searching for Sydney. EJ wonders what she has done with the baby. Chloe has her, Kate says. She has no idea why Sami and Rafe are looking for her. Why does EJ care? He threw Nicole and her daughter out of the house! It was the smartest move anyone has made in this little drama. EJ tells her to stay out of his business. Kate tells EJ that Stefano tried to have Rafe killed. EJ is about to leave and stops dead in his tracks. She asks, "Aren’t you curious about why?"

At the apartment, Chloe refuses to give up Sydney to Rafe, who reminds her she’ll be an accessory if she doesn’t. Rafe says it’s over and Nicole’s going down. "For what?" Rafe demands the baby and when Daniel arrives, he tells Chloe it’s okay and both Daniel and Rafe explain that Sydney’s Sami’s baby. Chloe finds it hard to believe and the men say there’s DNA proof. She still can’t believe it and when Rafe tells her about the baby switch Chloe realizes she is the one who set this in motion by telling Nicole that Sami was pregnant when Lucas asked her not to. She gives Sydney to Rafe and Daniel comforts her. Chloe’s afraid for Nicole, knowing she loves EJ and Sydney so much and was just doing this to be a family.

Before Nicole can leave Sami’s place, Sami shows up. Nicole came to get her mail and tries to leave to pick up Sydney. Sami stops her. She’s not going anywhere! Sami can practically hear the wheels turning in Nicole’s head and says Rafe didn't die. "He did tell me why you wanted to have him killed. I have been wrong about a lot and I have been stupid and naïve doesn't begin to say what I was for trusting you. I even thanked you for helping me deal with the death of my daughter," Sami snarls. "You sat there and watched us grieve and did nothing. You had me attend the christening when you gave the name you picked to my daughter!" Sami throws some things and tells Nicole, "Your life is about to become a living hell." Nicole backs up and says, "Rafe told you this." She denies the hit on Rafe and says he’s turning Sami against her. Sami wants her baby and Nicole had better tell her where she is. Nicole says she has done nothing wrong, but backs up behind the sofa as Sami comes at her. Sami knows that she had Dr. Baker help her and how she went to Sister Theresa and pretended to be Mary in order to set things up so she’d give birth at Baker’s clinic! Nicole says she’d never do that. Sami orders her to tell the truth.

Back at the townhouse, Nicole says Sami’s hysterical and needs help. Sami grabs for the phone to call the police but Nicole takes it from her and throws it across the room. "I can’t let you do that!" Sami yells back, "You’re paying for this! I can’t imagine what EJ will do when he learns the truth. I’m taking Sydney back. She’s my daughter." Nicole screams, "No," and Sami slaps Nicole across the face, hard. Nicole starts to cry and Sami slaps her again. "Say it! Sydney is my daughter. Say it!" Nicole sobs as she confesses. "Sydney is yours…" She howls and sobs. She never thought something could hurt as much as losing a baby and she couldn’t bring herself to tell the truth to EJ. Sami knows it was a deal breaker. EJ wanted to marry the mother of his child. Nicole reminds Sami she too tried to keep Grace from EJ but she backs off when Sami gives her a warning look. Considering Sami had Grace and EJ had his daughter, Nicole cowers as she admits she thought they could all be happy.

Brady and Ari are making out when a call from Troy interrupts. She doesn’t answer and Brady says he’s off to talk to Victor. Ari worries he’ll learn the truth but Brady has a feeling that one of Victor’s so called business associates probably works with Troy.

Vivian walks through the woods, as she talks on her cell phone to Gus about Carly’s whereabouts. Gus sends Vivian a photo of Carly and Mia hugging and Vivian asks Gus to follow Mia.

Brady arrives back at the Kiriakis mansion and Victor thinks he’s crawling back. He’s not. Brady asks how Victor knew Ari was a dealer. He wants to help her stop but Victor thinks he’s playing him. He smirks and finds Brady to be very much like his mother, Isabella – naive! He doubts if Ari will want to change. It’s too profitable. At least when he did it, he was after the power, not the money, and he hurt a lot of people in the process.

Rafe takes Sydney to the pub, looking for Sami, but Arianna says she’s not there. Rafe calls Sami and when she doesn’t answer, he worries something’s gone wrong and takes Sydney to the townhouse.

Bo and Carly return to Bo’s place. Carly wishes she could have done something like file a complaint against Chad so Bo can teach him a lesson but Bo can’t do anything about the argument. Carly says she’s got to do what she came there to do or she may never get the chance. She feels cooped up and hates that she’s putting Bo at risk and keeping him from his family. She breaks down, remembering that before she killed him, she saw in his eyes that Lawrence knew he was dying. Bo reminds her Lawrence wasn’t the man she married. She had no choice. Later, Bo takes a call about Lawrence and tells Carly, "You’re not going to believe this."

At Java, Mia drops a plate and Vivian stoops to help her and mentions how unhappy she looks. Did somebody upset her? Mia is uncomfortable and has to get back to work so Vivian makes a call to Gus. "Carly’s not going to run and she’s not going to hide."

Brady returns to Ari’s room with Victor’s computer. He goes through his deleted files and finds a folder for shipping orders from two weeks past. He decodes the files, vowing to find out what’s going on if it’s the last thing he does!

Chloe arrives at the mansion and Kate answers the door. Chloe heads into the morning room to find EJ while Kate follows asking, "Where’s Brisbane? Where’s whatever her name is? Where’s the baby?" EJ shuts the door after Chloe, who says he’s got to talk to Sami and Nicole. "I can’t be the one to tell you. It has to be them."

Back at Sami’s, Nicole tries to explain herself but Sami only wants to know where her daughter is. Nicole won’t tell her. "She’s mine and I will never give you Sydney!" Sami has DNA results and Sydney’s not Nicole’s daughter. Nicole disagrees. They scream at each other and Sami goes at Nicole while Nicole grabs a glass ornament as a weapon. The yelling stops and Sami cries when Rafe walks into the room with Sydney.

Justin tells Carly that the real killer has come forward and confessed.

Sami holds Sydney and sobs as Nicole says, "She's mine! She's mine."
