Mia and Chad face-off, Sami learns the truth from EJ, and Nicole hatches a plan.

Arianna pays Brady a visit at home. She says she needs to ask his forgiveness. Arianna says she feels bad about everything that has happened with Nicole, although it's not Nicole she cares about. Brady feels she's there to get a free pass because she feels guilty - he says he absolves her. Arianna says he's acting strange. Brady realizes she's worried about him starting to use drugs again. He says he's hurting, but he's not using. Arianna brings up Nicole again, and Brady wonders why she keeps asking about her - it has nothing to do with her! Arianna claims she's not threatened by Nicole, and starts to leave. Brady says she's always so anxious to get away from him! Arianna says she hurt him, and he's a great guy. He mocks her for having said he's boring. Arianna stops him, saying she was confused at the time - he's actually amazing, smart, and strong. Brady kisses her.

Mia asks Chad, in the Horton kitchen, what he has done. Chad says he went to see their baby. Chad explains that it was EJ who let him in - he told him he's the baby's father. Mia says he's ruined everything! Will appears and Chad says that Nicole shouldn't be keeping the baby anyway - she's their baby! Will steps in when things get heated. Chad hisses that he never should have believed that Mia had broken up with him. Chad says what Mia's done makes her a tramp! Mia says that Chad is right - what she did was dishonest, but she loved the baby enough to do anything for her! Mia asks Will to give them a moment. Chad wonders what she is going to do now. Mia apologizes for hurting him. Chad snipes that those are just words. Mia says he has a great future ahead of him, and she cares - just not the way he wants her to. Chad says the best thing for their baby is not Mia, or crazy Nicole. Chad tells Mia he hates her. She says that's fine, but he should think about Sydney. Chad says he's going to get custody, then leaves.

At the DiMera Mansion, Sami asks Nicole and EJ what's going on? She heard Nicole say someone was going to try to take her baby! She strongly urges Nicole not to let anyone take her baby away - no one! EJ asks Sami to leave. EJ tells Nicole that he was rethinking things before Chad turned up on his doorstep. Nicole is relieved - he's realized how much he loves them. EJ clarifies - he wanted Sydney back - not Nicole! Stunned, Nicole softly implores him to understand that what she did was for love. He says it was cruel, and he's not keeping the baby from her father any longer. Nicole says it's insane to give the baby to Chad! EJ scoffs at Nicole deciding what is sane or not. Nicole insists it's a bad idea to give the baby to Chad, but EJ believes doing anything else is selfish! Nicole says they can give the baby a better home - and save their marriage! EJ throws her out of the house, and tells her to take the baby with her! Nicole picks Sydney up and leaves in tears.

Chloe arrives at Daniel's house. He emerges from the other room wearing just a towel, and she drops her groceries. She tells him to please go and get dressed. He says he was headed to the shower. They try to resist one another, but give in to a passionate kiss! They manage to disentangle themselves, and she promises they won't have to wait much longer. He goes off for a cold shower, and Chloe gets a call about the annulment. Daniel comes back into the room, and she tells him the annulment went through. He asks why she's unhappy? Chloe says she's very happy with him - she just wishes it didn't have to be at Lucas's expense. Daniel acknowledges that she's a nice person, and the end of the relationship is bittersweet - he gets it. Chloe kisses him and they begin to make love.

In the cemetery, Maggie comes upon Sami. She says she saw her as she was driving by and wanted to give her a hug. Sami admits she's been through a lot. Maggie asks if something is wrong. Sami says someone may take her friend's baby away, and she knows what that's like - she'd do anything to keep her friend from going through that pain. Sami tells Maggie she can't mind her business - not after what she's gone through herself. Maggie advises her to take care of herself too - and stay safe.

Sami arrives back at the DiMera Mansion as Nicole is leaving with Sydney. Nicole goes on her way, crying. Sami goes inside and calls EJ a bastard! She tells him he is being cruel! EJ says she doesn't know what she's talking about - he explains that he just met Sydney's father - her real father! Sami is stunned - it was a closed adoption. EJ chuckles - that was another one of Nicole's lies. He says it's Chad. Sami realizes it's Mia's ex-boyfriend, then sighs. EJ points out that she's not so quick to defend Nicole now! Sami asks if he's sure about this - EJ says Nicole admitted it, and recounts the whole story of what Nicole did. He points out that Sami did practically the same thing to him with Grace. Sami enrages him by saying she'd do the same thing again! Sami says he proves her right time and again by sitting in that house surrounded by violence. Sami says she can see in his eyes that he loves Sydney - he needs to help Nicole keep her!

Nicole and the baby sit at Stefano's bedside, telling him everything that has gone on with EJ recently. She worries about Chad wanting a paternity test - which will only raise more questions - and it will only be a matter of time before everyone finds out she's EJ and Sami's! Nicole cries and says it's over now that he can't help her anymore. Nicole asks herself what Stefano would do. She muses that he'd probably make Chad disappear - maybe she can find something on him. She calls Chad and asks him to meet her - she's sure they can work something out!

Will goes back into the Horton house after Chad leaves and gives Mia a hug. He asks if she's okay. Mia tells Will as long as she has him, she'll be fine. They kiss. Will tells her he loves her, and she says it back. He vows they'll find a way to get through this together. Mia says they have to find someone who can help them stop Chad from taking Sydney.
