Days of Our Lives - DAILY UPDATES

Stephanie and Philip wake up after a sleepless night and Stephanie can’t wait to marry him. She gives him a charm, the luck of the Irish, not that he needs it. They kiss and Philip discusses getting a job in Chicago. Stephanie has no qualms about moving there with him and working at a hospital.

Melanie tears up after watching the video of her and Philip having sex, online. "Please make it go away," she cries. Nathan interrupts and thinks she’s still studying and hands her some food. She thanks him and rushes out but he stops her. "I should just come out and say it. I saw it," he says. Melanie’s jaw drops, but she relaxes when he tells her he’s talking about the practice test. On Melanie’s way out, she signs for a certified letter for Mia and leaves it on the table. We can see it’s from Mr. Hines.

Sami has gone shopping for Will’s school things but Lucas has already done so. He’d feel better if she stopped spending money until she gets a job. Sami feels bad and wants to buy him breakfast, but he’s got a date with Mia. He knows she misses the younger children but can’t sit around all day feeling sad. If his friends saw him acting like her, his friends would tell him to get a life! Mia arrives and they talk about her cutting back her hours if she makes the cheerleading squad. She receives a call from Nicole, who asks if she’ll be home for a while. Mia wasn’t planning on being home, but takes a rain check. Mia hangs up, puzzled, and Sami asks if she’s alright. She’s fine.

At the manse, Nicole plays with Sydney and talks openly about Baker’s letter to Sami. She calls the post office and asks them to hold the registered letter that she’s expecting today, but it’s already gone out!

Nicole asks Mary if she can reschedule an appointment to take Sydney to her music class. She can’t, so Nicole decides to make a good distraction and take Sydney with her.

Brady calls Ari from home and asks for a swim. She’ll be right over! They hang up and Rafe arrives. Things didn’t go well in the Dominic Republic, he tells her, and says Sami thinks Nicole’s been a better friend to her than him. He can’t hurt Sami again by taking that away from her.

At the hospital, Lexi gets a call from Abe and tells him she’ll do anything to help the authorities. She hangs up and tells Stefano and EJ that Dr. Baker was murdered in the Caribbean. The authorities have reason to believe the killers may be from Salem. Stefano’s eyes narrow. He assumes Abe thinks the DiMera’s are involved. Lexi says Abe simply wants her to pull Baker’s records.

EJ and Lexi leave Stefano in the hospital room alone and worry about why Stefano’s blood sugar level is rising. Meanwhile, inside the hospital room, Stefano yells at somebody on the phone to tell them they did a shotty job and they’d better not mess things up for him.

In another room, EJ and Lexi continue to discuss Stefano.

EJ goes to Stefano in his room and urges his father to relax and do the things he can in order to ensure his health is back in order. Stefano admits that he’s not ready to hand over the reins to EJ just yet. There are a few more things he needs to take care of, and then he’ll hand the business over to his beloved son.

Arianna arrives at the Kiriakis mansion and Ari worries that Victor will walk in on them but he’s not there, so they can be as indiscreet as they like.

Rafe pays a visit to Mr. Hines, who says he’s no longer practicing and is moving his office. Rafe asks if he knows Richard Baker but Hines is evasive until Rafe shows him the business card he found on Dr. Baker. Rafe fishes for information, trying to find out who hired him. Rafe whips out a gun and tells the man to start talking! Eventually, Hines tells Rafe about the letters Dr. Baker wrote for Sami and a few others.

Back at Sami’s place, Will and Mia leave and Sami starts to cry. Nicole arrives with Sydney and says she thought Sami would be lonely, so she brought Sydney by to cheer her up. Sami says it’s not working! It’s not that she doesn’t want to see them… Nicole notices Sami’s mail and notices all the baby magazines and wonders if that’s why she’s having a bad day. She brings up Baker and Sami admits he’s dead – murdered! Nicole acts surprised and promises to keep it quiet. Sami says somebody tried to frame Rafe for it and Nicole puts a bug in Sami’s ear that he could have done it, considering he refuses to discuss how his ex-fiancée died. Later, Nicole’s consistent yawning has Sami offering to take Sydney for a walk to Java for coffee, while Nicole power naps. Once she leaves, Nicole goes through Sami’s mail.

Henderson tries to stop Melanie from getting into the great room at the Kiriakis manse but he fails and is very apologetic. Arianna jumps off of Brady and Melanie tries to tell them that there’s a sex video out of her and Philip. She’s trying to warn Philip and Brady shakes his head as she tells him that it’s on the internet! She doesn’t want people to find out and assumes the hotel manager made the tape. She traced his ip address and tried to hack into his account and hopes that Philip can make it go away. Melanie has an exam to take, so Brady reassures her that he and Ari will take care of it.

Philip drops Stephanie off at the hospital and leaves to his interview in Chicago. Nearby, Lexi reads Stefano’s results and assumes he’s got something stressful in his life that’s altering his test results. EJ can’t think of what. When Stephanie shows off her ring to Maxine, some of the other nurses make fun of her, knowingly, and tell her it looks tarnished since she had it on last!

Stephanie tells Nathan she might be working in Chicago if Philip gets this new job. Melanie arrives and some of the nurses are laughing at her. She dashes to her exam after Maxine tells her to hurry.

In the park, Mia and Will discuss Mia cutting her hours back at Java. She won’t have much extra spare cash if she does. She refuses to ask her mother for money and becomes agitated when Will suggests it. He wants to know more about her, and that when his mom used her diary to write in, it was stolen and ruined her life.

Kinsey waltzes into Java and rants about her DUI. She jealously goes on about how Mia was hanging on every word that Will said today, but Chad tells her that there’s still a chance for them. Kinsey finds that laughable. They discuss Mia’s diary and Chad wants to read it to get the truth. Mia arrives at Java and runs into Kinsey. They sound off against each other while Chad steals Mia’s keys and leaves! Mia takes a seat with Will, who says he thought they were exclusive. Mia wants to be and kisses him to seal the deal! She realizes she has lost her keys!

Brady and Arianna arrive at the Valentine Motel and tell the hotel owner they’re shutting him down. Once the dirt bag finds out Brady’s a Kiriakis, he asks what he wants him to do.

Sami brings Sydney to the park and tells her that autumn’s coming and she’ll love the changing of the leaves. Sami’s thrilled having a baby in her arms again.

Chad goes snooping at Maggie’s place for Mia’s diary but finds Baker’s letter.

Nicole signs for Sami’s letter once it arrives from Baker and reads how it details the truth about the baby switch. She hides it just as Rafe arrives.

Victor is on the phone, "Arianna Hernandez has gotten her claws in my grandson and I want to know why!"

Nicole tells Rafe, "You two aren't together anymore which means you broke in. What the hell are you up to?"

Stephanie sobs to Melanie, "I want the truth, Melanie. How long has this been going on?" Melanie cries and looks sheepish.
