Sami follows Rafe to the Dominican, Lexi lectures EJ and Arianna is caught by Brady.
Dr. Wesley returns to Salem to take care of his daughter, Chloe, and examines her but tells Lucas he isn’t sure what he can do. Lucas blames himself. They head into Chloe’s room and Lucas shows Craig her living will. He’s not sure it’s the right thing to do, to take her off life support and asks for Craig’s advice. As a doctor, he knows the chances of recovery for her are slim. He becomes emotional and Lucas gives him time with Chloe. Craig tells her how much he and her mother and sister love her and that she didn’t deserve this. He kisses her head and Lucas returns. Craig’s checking into the Salem Inn and says he and Nancy will stand behind Lucas’ decision, knowing this isn’t the life for his daughter. He leaves and Lucas knows what he has to do.
Daniel saunters around Kate and offers her alcohol. She turns to leave but he grabs her arm and tells her to stay. Considering what she has done to him, she can give him five minutes. He says she broke his heart and has no idea what she did to him. That intrigues Kate and she says, "I broke your heart and you took up with Chloe after?" Daniel realizes that she has never felt for anyone the way she felt about him. She buried her feelings and says it was hard for him when he found out how dispensable he was. Kate is upset and he says it’s not in him to walk away like she did. "Is this true," she asks and he says all she had to do is ask him to come back to her. Kate begins to cry and wonders how blind she could have been. She moves in close and says she just has one question. "Where’s the wire?" She rips open his shirt but sees only his naked chest. She’s not satisfied, so he starts unbuckling his pants. "That’s not what I meant," she claims and Daniel asks her why she didn’t just give him a chance. None of this would have happened. They could have been happy. Daniel says Justin told him his fate is sealed. He tells her to go home and she listens.
EJ tells Sydney all about football and she starts to cry. Mia comes along and he asks her to come say hello. She reluctantly does and they discuss how she played football (soccer) when she was younger. When EJ takes a call, he hands over Sydney to Mia to hold.
Brady tells Arianna that her coffee is the best and decides to return for more after his meeting. She goes to sit with Rafe and he tells her he’s doing what it takes to find out what Nicole and Baker did and if they had anything to do with Grace’s death. Arianna reminds him she died of meningitis but he has too many unanswered questions.
In the Dominican, Dr. Baker rants that Nicole had better give him what he wants.
Nicole tries to get somebody on the line to help close her account before Rafe finds out her secrets but Sami interrupts. She comes to the door and tells her that Dr. Baker didn’t know Grace had died and it hurt to have to tell him that she was dead. She remembered how happy she was when the doctor brought her Grace and starts to cry on Nicole’s shoulder. Nicole tells her to stay strong but Sami says there was something else wrong. At the beginning of the call, Baker said there was something else he had to tell her, but when she asked him what it was, he made something up and said that he moved to the Dominican and was telling all his patients. Did he call Nicole? Nicole doesn’t answer her. Instead she asks her not to get upset. Sami has to return his call and find out why he was really calling! Nicole stops her from contacting him, and Sami agrees this would be a step backwards. She needs to move forward. Once Sami leaves, Nicole says that Dr. Baker went too far and she’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again!
Back at the pub, when Dr. Baker calls, Rafe takes the call, but doesn’t say a word. He has traced the call, he tells his sister, and text messages him to ask what he wants. Dr. Baker texts back and says they’ve a lot to discuss! They text back and forth and can tell that Dr. Baker has something on Nicole. Rafe wants a favor from Arianna but she balks at this. He needs cash to go to the Dominican, she realizes, and against her better judgment, she gets her handbag and gives him her credit card and demands that he use it sparingly. She says bon voyage and thinks she’s a sucker. He leaves and she takes a call from Troy, asking to meet in the park. She gets Pete to cover for her and rushes off.
At the park, EJ calls Mia a natural with the baby and she claims to have had experience with Grace. EJ calls her lucky. EJ has to get the baby to the hospital, he says, and leaves. Brady comes up and Mia says she ran into EJ and was holding Sydney. She’s afraid Nicole will be upset that she saw Sydney and remind her that when she gave up the child, she gave up her rights. Brady thinks she did what was best for the child but she did what was best for her, she confesses. Brady thinks the decision could be for the best for both of them. Sydney doesn’t need anything from Mia right now so there’s no need to worry about moving on with her life. She thinks he’s pretty smart when it comes to handing out advice and he laughs. He’s good at that but not when it comes to his own life. He looks at his watch and says that was kind of a meeting. He calls the pub and learns Arianna is not there and wonders where she could be. He takes a walk.
Arianna arrives at the park to meet Troy. He says he needs something extra for his trouble, when she asks if he’s doing what she asked. She hands him over a package and asks for a meeting with her higher ups. Troy moves in. He wasn’t talking about the money! Brady comes through the park just as Arianna says if she gets in with his higher ups, she can work something out. Brady calls out Ari’s name and Troy runs away. Brady asks if that was the guy who attacked her!
EJ arrives at the hospital and asks for the documents from the tests they ran on Sydney. After what happened to Grace, he doesn’t want to take any chances. Lexi thinks he’s overdoing it and this causes him to be angry. Samantha will pay for what she did. Lexi worries he’s sounding too much like Stefano and doesn’t like that Johnny and Sydney are growing up in a house of hate. This angers EJ and Lexi says they need to talk about this hatred, anger and need for revenge. She thinks it’s because Sami shared her life with another man, but EJ says it’s because she kept Grace from him. Lexi says Sami loves Rafe and didn’t trust EJ. She wonders why he can’t let Sami and Rafe go.
Sami arrives at the pub looking for Arianna. Pete says she left after her brother. He tells Sami that Rafe went to the airport and hands her over the pamphlets for the Dominican Republic.
Sami packs a bag and hears a horn outside. She rushes to the door and says she's going to find out what Rafe’s up to.
Dr. Baker calls Nicole and asks if the hubby has left. He wonders if that’s why she stopped texting him. Nicole panics and says that wasn’t her, texting him. The jig is up. She refuses to let him bleed her dry. He hangs up on her and she screams and wonders where the heck Stefano is! She calls him repeatedly on the phone and EJ walks in and overhears, asking why she wants to talk to Stefano.
At home, Kate flashes back to Daniel and wonders if he was playing her.
Back on the pier, Daniel says it made his skin crawl to touch Kate but he’ll do what it takes.
Dr. Baker is busy packing when he hears a noise at the door.
