At the Kiriakis mansion, Philip congratulates Brady on becoming CEO of Titan. Brady is shocked to learn Philip was fired and disowned. He asks what the hell happened. Philip says he couldn’t get the blueprints back from Tony. Victor is trying on his own. Brady wants to fix this, but Philip doesn’t want his help. He’ll do all he can to get them back. Brady admits he tried to steal the blueprints back from Tony and Philip is very curious about why he’d do that.

Sami sees Rafe at the pub, but he gives her the cold shoulder, so she is about to leave, but turns around and lets him know she’s going to pick up Grace today. Sami wants to know if he’s staying, but he thinks she has made it clear that what he does doesn’t matter. Abe arrives and hugs Sami. He invites her to stop by for a visit and they discuss how she’s adjusting to being home. Abe’s sorry he couldn’t help Rafe get a position at Salem PD. They’re trying to avoid layoffs as it is. Abe assumes Rafe cares a lot for her, considering all he has given up. Abe shouldn’t say but he admits Rafe was offered a position at NYPD in the Terrorism Force. It’s a prize position. Abe gets a call and Sami rushes off to talk to Rafe, who has just left the pub.

Outside the pub, Sami admits she found out what he did for her. Rafe says he hates New York anyway, but Sami thinks he is lying and turned it down to stay in Salem with her. Rafe says maybe he did, but she makes him out to be the bad guy, when he’s only trying to help. Sami apologizes and did what she did because she cares. "You care too, right?" Rafe hesitates, then grabs Sami and kisses her, hard! Rafe says they’re still completely different. Sami is moved by her feelings and Rafe has logic. Sami says logic wasn’t what propelled him to stay in Salem! They start kissing again. Sami’s got to get Grace, so Rafe elects to go with her. Sami likes that idea and they leave.

In the great room of the manse, EJ asks Alfred where Nicole is, but he doesn’t know. She seemed in a hurry.

Nicole finds Mia near her place and blasts her for telling Tony the truth. Mia tries to explain and Nicole wonders why she has returned. Mia missed her baby and the dancing wasn’t going well. Mia says she didn’t plan on telling Tony. It was a mistake. She wanted to see her baby. Nicole says Tony would sell his own mother if he knew it would hurt EJ. What Mia did will destroy her life, she warns. Mia didn’t know Tony was like that and explains she was upset and the truth just came out. Can’t Nicole do something to stop him? Nicole says she tried.

Stefano is shocked to learn Tony’s packing up his room to leave the mansion. Tony says Stefano prefers EJ over him, but Stefano calls that total insanity. They’re equal in his eyes. Stefano forbids Tony to leave, but Tony tells him he’s through and walks out.

Tony finds EJ in the great room and shares his news. He’s moving out. He feels liberated! EJ asks, "So you’re not going to stay for the wedding?" EJ says Tony and Anna are dear to him, but Tony says that could change. He starts cackling and when EJ asks why he’s acting so strange, Tony says there’s something wrong and something EJ should know about. Stefano comes into the great room and tries to bully Tony into staying. Stefano threatens to cut him off, but Tony enlightens Stefano. He has businesses all across the globe, in addition to this new venture of his. EJ asks what that is and Tony says it’s the alternative fuels project. Stefano doesn’t want him to have anything to do with that project, but Tony says things are going to change for him and for his little brother. EJ thinks Tony’s making a mistake and says the fuel project won’t see the light of the day. "Father and I will come after you with everything we’ve got," EJ warns, but Tony says they’ve no legal case against him. Stefano asks Tony to be reasonable. Stefano loves him. Tony says he has no use for him, so Stefano says, "Then you are dead to me. Do you hear me? You are dead to me." He leaves the room and EJ asks Tony to tell him the truth. Tony wanted to spare EJ the embarrassment of public humiliation. "Once I tell you, you’ll be horrified enough as it is."

Chloe and Lucas walk on the pier and kiss. Chloe’s mood is spoiled when she recalls that Kate is not happy that they got married. Lucas thinks she’s paranoid but Chloe wonders if Kate thinks she’s not smart enough for him. Even when Kate’s sweet to her, it seems fake. Lucas becomes upset. He doesn’t want to talk about it and knows Kate wants them to be happy. Lucas urges her to go to the hospital to get examined, and she assumes it’s just stress. She’ll go on her own, later.

Kate finds Daniel at the hospital and tells him she’s sorry and asks that he not mention how she acted towards him to Lucas or Chloe. Kate goes on about how Lucas and Chloe married before she could make it to Vegas and how they couldn’t keep their hands off each other. Daniel is quiet and unresponsive. Kate says he has made her apology easy. Kate asks about the drug that he administered to her during her time in the hospital during her chemo. Kate talks to Nurse Maxine about the drug, and the nurse says it can't be detected in the bloodstream. Maxine says they’ve got the drug right on this floor, and she points to the case. Kate seems very interested in the drug.

Philip calls somebody and tells them to do it, now.

Back at the manse, EJ tries to figure out what’s going on with Tony. Tony calls him blind and receives a text message from an associate who's coming to Salem to discuss business. EJ asks if Tony can wait on business, but Tony has changed his mind. "You really deserve an audience like Father, and Nicole, most definitely." He’ll tell him the truth upon his return. He leaves for the pier.

Back in the alley outside Mia’s place, Nicole asks Mia to lie for her. Mia agrees that if Tony tells the truth, Nicole will call Mia and she’ll come running over and deny the whole thing. Nicole still has reservations, thinking EJ won’t let go of this. Nicole calls EJ, who is worried about her. "Where are you?" Nicole’s shopping, she lies. EJ says there’s something going on with Tony and Nicole worries. EJ says Tony’s moving to New York today, and says Tony’s got some announcement that’s supposed to be horrifying for him. EJ asks Nicole to give Tony a wide berth. Tony’s been acting strange lately. Nicole hangs up and tells Mia that Tony hasn’t said anything yet. "I’m not going to let him," she says, and runs off.

Lucas and Chloe arrive at the hospital and Lucas says Chloe’s been a little tired. She’s going to be examined. Lucas tells Kate that he’d like to find Victor and punch his lights out. Kate is shocked. "Why?" Lucas says he called Philip to tell him the good news and found out Philip was fired. Kate is shocked! Later, Lucas says he’ll return to pick her up. He leaves and Daniel bumps into Chloe. He welcomes her home and Chloe says she appreciates what he said to Lucas. He’s partly why she got married. Daniel congratulates her. He’s happy for her. Chloe says she’s been tired lately and getting a check up, but it’s nothing. Daniel encourages her to take it easy.

Brady goes to Victor and demands to know what he has done to Philip. Victor says Brady’s the new CEO, but when Brady wants to discuss it, Victor refuses. Kate marches into the room, also demanding answers. She yells that he hasn’t changed and doesn’t mind hurting his own flesh and blood. "I despise you. I have had enough of you. You are out of my life," Kate rants, before leaving. Brady shares that Philip’s not in good shape, and planning to do something destructive.

Sami and Rafe wind up at the convent. They fawn over Grace and Sami’s thrilled to take her home.

Stefano goes into the great room looking for Anthony. EJ says he went to meet somebody and will return later. Tony wanted a family gathering, but Stefano calls Tony dead to him, forever. EJ says there’s more to this. Something that they don’t understand.

Stefano says to EJ, "If he thinks he can stab his father in the back it will not happen. I will not allow it."

Sami asks the nun for more information on Rafe’s past.

Tony stumbles down the stairs and falls on a stake, blood rushes from his mouth and Philip and Nicole gasp.
