Nicole tells EJ the truth, Chelsea lets Daniel go, Theo is lost, but found.

Pete tells Nicole that her snack is almost ready, at the pub. Sami arrives and Nicole groans. "Great, now my day is complete." Sami makes a remark about Nicole's drinking, and Pete tells Sami there are no tables available. She has to sit next to Nicole! "Decisions, decisions!" Sami says her feet are killing her, so Nicole invites her to take a load off. She comments on Sami's weight and finds Sami hormonal. They exchange insults and when a waitress brings over a plate of steamed clams, both Nicole and Sami run away with their hands over their mouths. After they return to their seats, they commiserate over how the clams made them feel sick, and Sami makes a crack about Nicole's cheap perfume.

Roman and Marlena talk outside the pub, about her love for the old John Black and how he won't go to the doctor to be examined. They're worried about Sami.

At the mansion, John recalls his conversation with Marlena, encouraging him to get more medical tests. EJ interrupts. John's in a foul mood. "Go away," he says, but EJ comments that he can't. He gave Marlena his word that he'd talk to him, and lets John know that Marlena loves him but doesn't think John cares enough about her to get help for his migraines and blackouts. John is skeptical and waves the divorce papers at EJ. He doesn't think she cares, yet, he doesn't want to lose her. EJ doesn’t think he should give up, though he understands why John would be nervous about tests, after having gone through so much at the hands of Stefano and Rolf. John's not afraid. He just doesn't want to do it. EJ tries to convince him but he stubbornly tells EJ he doesn’t have to explain anything to him. EJ gets angry and calls John a shell of a man. "You're like some kind of machine." This doesn't faze John, who thinks the old John is gone, never to return. EJ grabs John's face and begs him. "Just do this one thing, for a woman who loves you more than anything, anyone." He attempts to call Kayla, but John yells at him to mind his own business. A disgusted EJ leaves the room. Once he's gone, John makes a call. "Hello, it's me. I need to see you," he says.

Nicole arrives at the mansion and John tells her he needs a friend. He asks her to answer him honestly and asks if he seems like someone incapable of human emotion. Nicole calls him practical and in control of his feelings. John thinks he doesn't have any, but Nicole calls him misunderstood, like her. "You're a good person, Nicole." She returns the compliment, and he says he gave her bad advice. "You need to tell Elvis about the baby. Now."

At the park, Abe and Lexi yell at Lacey, and she recounts what led to Theo disappearing. She apologizes, but Lexi is a mess. She thinks someone may have abducted him and screams at Lacey, "And if they have, it'll be your fault. How in the hell could you let this happen?" Lacey feels guilty and when officer John shows up with Theo's hat, which was found near the road, Lexi clutches it and sobs, "Oh my God, oh my God." Lacey and Officer John go in search of the boy.

Chelsea finds Daniel at the hospital and he asks her to find Kate and get her back to the hospital as soon as possible. Her life might depend on it. He knows Chelsea knows a little about what's going on with Kate and tells Chelsea that he can't discuss the case, but asks her again to find Kate and bring her back. Theo interrupts and shows Chelsea his horse. "Zoo," he says. Chelsea is puzzled, and Daniel calls Lexi to tell Lexi that Theo is well and at the hospital. Abe and Lexi share a big hug and cry in relief! Meanwhile, as Chelsea tries to find out where Abe and Lexi are, Daniel returns to the room to explain what happened. Chelsea asks why Theo came to the hospital. "Don’t tell me you came here to see me," she says. Theo nods, and hugs her and she makes him promise not to do this again. He says, "Okay," then Lexi and Abe rush into the room and grab him. Hugs ensue, and they leave. Daniel tells Chelsea that she has a connection with Theo that nobody else has. When Daniel calls her incredible, Chelsea becomes uncomfortable. "Can't we be friends," asks Daniel, but Chelsea doesn’t think so. "You slept with Kate," she says and tells them they've beat this dead horse already. He never meant to hurt her, he says, and Chelsea tells him she can't be friends with someone she doesn't trust. It never would have worked out, anyway. "We're in different places and want different things." She has moved on and tells him he should as well.

Roman and Marlena go into the pub and Sami changes her mind about confiding in them. She launches into a discussion about current events, from Caroline's bail, to Nicole's marriage to Trent, until Roman stops her. He asks her to come clean, but Marlena thinks she has changed her mind about confiding in them and asks if she's done something wrong. Sami admits she's in trouble and needs their help. She asks if it's okay to keep a secret from a loved one, and Marlena says it's not. Sami brings up Marlena's affair with John. She kept that a secret. Marlena says it was wrong and stands by her answer. "If you trust this person, you have to tell them the truth," she says. Sami asks, "Even if it will destroy an innocent life?" She finally agrees to tell them, but only if they swear not to tell anyone. They refuse to go down that path once again, due to past mistakes and Sami apologizes for wasting their time, but decides not to tell them the truth. She tells them they've helped her. "I know what to do now." She's going to tell the truth! Once Sami leaves, they ponder who Sami has to talk to. Marlena thinks it's EJ.

Lexi, Abe and Theo go back to the park and Abe reprimands Theo for leaving Lacey, then takes him for ice cream. Abe says they should be proud of their son for being able to find the hospital and Chelsea. They say he had genuine affection for Chelsea and has formed a bond, but when Abe asks Theo for a hug, he ignores him. "One step at a time," says Abe, with a chuckle.

Back at the mansion, John thinks Nicole will need EJ's help, even if he has chosen Sami. A man has the right to know he has fathered a child. Nicole disagrees, but John says EJ's nothing like Stefano. "He's a damned good father, not like me." He knows he may have lost his chance with Marlena, but for her, it may not be too late. When EJ arrives and asks what they're talking about, John says, "Are you going to tell him, or am I?" Nicole tries to get out of telling EJ, but John won't let her. Meanwhile, Sami arrives and talks herself into telling EJ. She heads to the great room, where, inside, Nicole spits it out, "Okay, fine. EJ, I'm pregnant." Sami's jaw drops.
