Carly moves into Bo's house, Sami and Stefano have a fight, Philip tries to get Melanie to admit her true feelings for him and Chad serves Nicole!
Bo finds Carly in the living room and tells her she shouldn’t be out in the open. They argue about whether or not her being there will make his relationship issues with Hope harder. She finally agrees to stay with him but needs to take care of something on the boat. He wants to drive her to the boat but she refuses. He sends her upstairs while he gets coffee in the kitchen, but as soon as his back’s turned, she grabs her disguise and rushes out. Once Bo returns to the living room, he takes his gun and keys and runs after her.
On the boat, Rafe dreams that Sami’s caressing his face and kissing him. He repeats her name a few times. Omar wakes him up and Rafe asks where they are. Omar tells him on a boat in Salem.
Sami and Stefano argue in his room. He’s not trying to keep Sydney from her real mother. "Who happens to be…" Sami stops him and yells at him to keep his crazy opinions to himself. Stefano thinks she should be interested in what he has to say. Sami doesn’t think he cares about Sydney but she’s wrong. He’s her grandfather.
Outside of his room, EJ arrives and Lexi says Stefano’s sleeping. He’ll have to wait to see him.
Sami continues her rant in Stefano’s room. She’s tired of him and his son who are pigheaded idiots. Stefano retorts that she has her mother’s spunk but not her class. Sami slings her own insults until EJ interrupts. "What’s going on in here?" Sami wanted to set Stefano straight. EJ asks her to do it another time and orders her to leave. First, Stefano says she has no idea who fathered most of her children and when she learned the truth, she hid it. Sam goes at him but EJ pushes her away from him. She continues to scream and call him names and Stefano tells her it’s only right that she goes home to an empty crib! Sami screams and leaves as Lexi rushes into the room. EJ tells Stefano to stop letting Sami get under his skin. Stefano admits he has made a hideous mistake. EJ’s frustrated when Stefano refuses to say what it was. Once EJ leaves, Stefano calls Nicole and orders her to get back to the hospital.
On the pier, Chad serves Nicole with a court order to get DNA for Sydney. There’s no point in fighting it, he says. She agrees. She’s done fighting. Chad moves toward Sydney and scares her so she starts to cry. Nicole dumps Sydney on him in order to give him a taste of his future and he’s very uncomfortable. Sydney starts to scream and Chad panics and asks Nicole to take her back. Nicole does so and Sydney quiets down.
At Maggie’s place, Melanie asks Philip why he thinks they’re perfect for each other. They’ve chemistry and are alike, he points out and Melanie slaps him. If Stephanie didn’t dump him, he wouldn’t be saying this. Philip says maybe so but he didn’t know then how he felt. Melanie starts whipping cranberry muffins at him. He’s only sniffing around after her now that she’s with Nathan! Philip confesses he genuinely has feelings for her but she doesn’t want to hear it and asks him to leave her alone. He considers he hit a nerve or she wouldn’t be this worked up. Melanie stammers that he’s messing with her head but he swears he’s not. He was telling his father that she understands and appreciates him and he feels the same way about her. He feels sparks and asks her to admit she does as well. She backs up as he comes toward her and admits that she is uncomfortable with having two guys interested in her. She always makes the wrong decisions based on what she wants and not what she needs. Philip tries to get close to her and kiss her and she almost succumbs but before he can kiss her, she says she deserves to be treated right for once. She shows him the door.
Stephanie finds Nathan in the break room and tells him he was a hit at the kid's Halloween party. She gives him a cupcake as a peace offering for him for outing his relationship with Melanie to Maxine. Nathan has no problem with that. She’s a good friend. Stephanie disagrees and admits she has serious doubts that he and Melanie will make it as a couple and she has wished it as well. She asks Nathan not to tell Melanie her thoughts. She is working on being a better person! Nathan doesn’t think she needs to. She’s perfect the way she is.
Bo arrives on the boat, scaring Carly, who admits she’s nursing a mystery man she fished out of the river, but he’s gone. She says goodbye to Omar, who offers Carly support in the future.
On the pier, Nicole asks Chad if he’s truly ready to be a fulltime father, as Rafe comes upon them. His eyesight is blurry and he sits on the grass, nearby as Chad says Sydney will forget Nicole as soon as she’s out of her life. Nicole has a meltdown. Sydney will never forget her! Chad yells, "Give me back my kid," and Nicole tells him she’s not his. Rafe watches and fantasizes about telling Sami the truth as Nicole tells him to stay away from Sydney until the DNA test.
Sami arrives home and notices Nicole has left. She gazes at Grace’s photo and breaks down. EJ arrives and asks her never to bother Stefano again.
Melanie shows up at the hospital to flirt with Nathan. They’ve been spending too much time apart and she never gets to tell him how she feels. Nathan loves this side of her but wonders where it’s coming from. Later, she drags him to the break room where they make out.
Philip finds Stephanie at Java. Philip thinks that though Nathan and Melanie are together, things could change. Stephanie doesn’t like where this is going.
When Carly and Bo arrive home, Carly feels she’s a burden. Bo worries her patient will turn on her but she doubts that. She flashes back to killing Lawrence and breaks down, sobbing as Bo watches, quietly.
Back at the pier, Rafe gets up and ambles around. He finally makes it to somebody’s door.
Inside Sami’s place, EJ and Sami argue until a knock comes to the door.
Nicole returns to Stefano’s room. Are EJ and Sami gathering the villagers and lighting torches? Stefano barks for her to shut up. She and Samantha are so much alike but at least Nicole knows when to shut up. He says neither knows the truth and that’s the way it’s going to stay. He feels Nicole’s the lesser of two evils and he’s afraid EJ would tell Samantha the truth if he knew. He’s still embroiled with her. Nicole worries about the DNA results but Stefano will take care of everything.

Carly tells Bo, "I took a life. They're going to want mine in return."
