Carly breaks into Bo’s place and he attacks her. She apologizes for dropping in on him like this, shocking him. He lets her up and asks why she is there, dressed like Agent 99? Her life is in danger. He assumes it’s about Lawrence’s death and wonders if it’s political. There are people after her but it wasn’t political. It was personal and in a way, she’s responsible. "I’m the one who stabbed him," she reveals. Bo is stunned and Carly refuses to say more until she asks him a few questions. She looks at the photo of Ciara and asks if this is his daughter with Hope. She thought maybe Ciara was Justin’s daughter. Bo confesses Hope and Ciara are staying with Victor. Carly’s glad to hear. Bo changes the subject. Why did she murder Lawrence? She calls it self-defense.

EJ walks in on Stefano and Nicole in Stefano’s room and demands to know what’s going on. Stefano thinks they should discuss the entire truth but Nicole says Lexi told her Stefano can’t deal with stress right now. EJ’s upset that Stefano brought her back. Nicole leaving was a good solution to their problems. Stefano says Sydney is a DiMera and belongs in her house with her family around. EJ disagrees but Stefano assures him he doesn’t know the whole story. Nicole threatens Stefano to think of this carefully. Kate interrupts, not happy to see Nicole’s return and kicks them all out. "I came as soon as I heard. You’re alive. Again." They kiss and she says everything’s going to be fine, now that she’s there. Stefano rants about losing Sydney and Kate jokes that he could buy another grandchild without a mother attached. Stefano doesn’t want to hear jokes about it and tells her that her entrance was perfection. At some point, he, Elvis and Nicole need to have a chat, but not now. Kate thinks he needs his rest. Stefano admits the nurses think that Kate tried to kill him. Kate has learned her lesson with Chloe. If she tried to kill him, he’d be dead. Stefano chuckles. He says he’s working on his strategy with Nicole and will tell her everything, soon. Kate says Chez DiMera is a bore without him and agrees to get Nicole for him.

Outside of Stefano’s room, EJ asks why Nicole returned and what Stefano was about to tell him when Kate arrived. Nicole has no idea and wonders if Stefano needs a psych evaluation. EJ laughs. "Wow," he says and shakes his head. EJ says Stefano suggested that he knew what Nicole was up to before he got sick. Nicole thinks that is ludicrous. "Of course. Because he’d tell me, wouldn’t he?" EJ asks why Stefano had her return but she has no idea. Kate exits Stefano’s room and tells Nicole that Stefano wants to see her – alone, and then he’d like to talk to EJ. It’s very important.

Nicole goes to Stefano and he threatens her to stay in Salem. He went to her wedding and doesn’t want to have to go to her funeral. Nicole gets the picture and leaves. Maxine arrives and gives Stefano a sedative, though she doesn’t think he deserves to sleep like a baby. Stefano’s amused and flirts. If only he weren’t married. EJ arrives and Stefano’s too tired to talk. He asks EJ to return tomorrow.

Outside of Stefano’s room, Nicole asks EJ to hold Sydney but he’s not interested, so Nicole calls Sami and leaves an ominous message. There’s something she needs to tell her before somebody else does!

Hope, Justin and Ciara are at the pub. Ciara goes off to get cookies from Caroline and Hope can tell she doesn’t want to move. She wonders if she’s making a huge mistake. She knows Bo has a point about her moving into Victor’s place. Justin thinks she needs a good night sleep and maybe she and Bo need a little time alone.

Over the phone, Lucas and Nathan discuss Lucas’ rehab. He’s taking it one day at a time. Lucas asks Nathan to move into his house so he doesn’t have to come home to an empty house. Melanie overhears the conversation and asks when he was going to tell her he was moving. Nathan hangs up and says he made a promise to Maggie he wouldn’t fool around with her there. There’s not a shot in hell he’ll be able to keep up that deal, so the only solution is for him to move out. Nathan lost his grandfather Tom’s pen that he wrote poetry with, under the pen name, "Nom de Plume," and anxiously they search for it around the house. When Melanie finds it, he shakes her hand in thanks, knowing a hug would lead to something else.

Hope and Justin arrive at the mansion and Hope’s glad that at least the homicidal maniac, Kate, has moved out. Victor overhears them talk. Later, Hope puts Ciara to bed and goes to talk to Victor in the living room. She thanks him for the nanny. He didn’t need to get one. She thinks it’s nice to sit there and talk without her reading him his rights and admits she’s not sure this is all a good idea, her living there. They talk about Justin and Adrienne, who aren’t doing too well and when Victor offers her a nightcap, she declines.

At the pub, Maggie hears from Lucas about Nathan’s move into his house. Maggie tells him the reason he’s moving out and says she’ll miss him. Lucas suggests she should have just butted out!

Back at Bo’s place, Carly says Lawrence got sick shortly after they married. He had only a few months to live, but his recovery affected him – changed him. This wasn’t the same Lawrence she knew. "He did things. Evil things. They’re interrupted when Victor calls to tell Bo to come get his wife and take her home. Bo says he didn’t want her to leave in the first place but can’t talk right now. Something has come up. They hang up and Carly offers to leave, knowing it’s not fair of her to drag him into her mess, anyway. Bo tells her to stick around and asks for the rest of the story. She says it was degenerative. She looks down when he asks if Lawrence did things to her, but doesn’t answer. She had to stop him. He had to pay. She flashes back to the act, sorry she didn’t do it sooner. Carly will tell Bo all if he helps her and when he leaves the room, she calls Omar to check on Rafe, who is asleep. She tells Omar she’s fine and hangs up and then Bo asks her for more information about her murdering Lawrence.

Melanie and Nathan arrive at the pub where they eat ice cream, play and kiss, until Maggie rains on their parade. She doesn’t want them to resent her for all of this. Melanie never could and Nathan says he’s sorry. It won’t ruin their relationship. Maggie seems satisfied and asks him to Sunday dinner. Nathan’s in. Maggie laughs and tells them they can do the dishes!

Back at the mansion, Hope runs into Justin hanging up with Adrienne. Hope wonders if she should go back to Bo, and Justin asks, "Before you’re ready?"

Melanie and Nathan leave the pub and Melanie’s mood has changed. She worries they won’t get to see each other much now that he’ll be living in Lucas’ house and taking all of those shifts at the hospital. Nathan comforts her with a kiss.
