Kate and Stefano's ceremony begins, Lucas winds up in the hospital, and Meredith has plans for Rafe!
Philip is on the docks and overhears Melanie on the phone - she is planning to sue the Salem PD! He tells her that his mother is planning to marry Stefano DiMera. Melanie is stunned! She starts giggling as she pictures Christmas with his family - Philip will have to attend with a bodyguard! He says she's really funny, but remaining serious, he explains why Kate is marrying Stefano, and adds that he told her if she went through with it, he would no longer be her son. Melanie says it's not over yet! Melanie starts going on about how many times Kate tried to poison Chloe - she's not a quitter! Philip says she's the only one who would give a pep talk using an analogy about his mother trying to murder someone! Melanie laughs and urges him to try to stop the wedding again.
Maggie greets Kate as she comes into Chez Rouge and makes some caustic remarks, accusing Kate of using her to frame Daniel. She remarks that she clearly doesn't care about Lucas or Philip either! Stefano approaches and tells Maggie that she's the help, not a guest! Maggie glares. Victor walks over and says, "What's the point of buying a trophy if you can't show it off?" Victor tells Kate he crashed, but Stefano was very good about it! Maggie walks over to Lexi and Abe. Lexi loudly expresses her anger that Kate is free after what she did to Daniel! Stefano murmurs that maybe she shouldn't have invited them after all! Stefano wants Lexi to go down the aisle with him - she refuses, but Theo insists, so she agrees. Abe shakes his head as Stefano takes Theo, saying he has a special job for him too. Victor takes another shot at getting Kate to choose her own family, but Stefano quickly materializes at her side and says it's time. Victor tells her she's starting the life she so richly deserves!
As Lucas lies on the floor of the Horton kitchen, drunk and passed out, Will tells Mia and the other boys that he doesn't think they can leave him in this condition. Mia says she's scared and wants to call 911. Will says he'll call Maggie, but Lucas wakes up. He stands up, and blearily informs Will that his grandmother is getting married! He wants the teens to party with him, but Will is horrified and urges him to go lay down. Lucas is going to drive to get some more booze and Will says he's not driving anywhere. Lucas gets belligerent, and Chad sits him down on a chair. Lucas demands to know who the boys are, saying he's in charge! Will calls Maggie and tells her what's going on, but Lucas seems to be having a medical emergency - Chad shouts for Will to call 911!
Arianna is on the phone with Troy outside the pub. She says that if the big boss won't meet her, she'll take another offer - if she stops dealing it will ruin their business! Suddenly she gasps - Brady is standing behind her! He says he didn't hear what she was talking about - and he doesn't care. He goes into the pub and she follows him. He says he hates how things are between them. She brings him a snack, and apologizes for calling him boring earlier. Brady accuses her of having an imaginary boyfriend, saying she really never gave a good reason for dumping him. Arianna says he's not been straight with her either - he won't tell her what he's covering up for his ex, Nicole! He accuses her of being jealous of Nicole, she denies it, then thinks back to what Rafe told her he overheard. Arianna gets a call and takes it outside, which makes Brady suspicious.
Rafe is unconscious on the floor of Sami's apartment. Meredith struggles to hide him as she hears Sami digging for her keys outside the door! Sami's cell phone rings - it's Sister Theresa. Sami speaks to her briefly then enters the apartment - there's no sign of Rafe or Meredith! Sami makes a couple of calls trying to find Rafe. He is lying on the floor, hidden from her sight. When Sami leaves the apartment again, Meredith reappears.
Stefano and Kate's wedding ceremony begins at Chez Rouge. Everyone but Stefano looks grim. As the minister says, "...let them speak now or forever hold their peace," Philip walks in! Kate turns to look at Philip as Stefano has Theo bring the rings to him. The ceremony continues, and the minister asks Kate to say her vows - she does, with tears on her face. Stefano then says his vows, and they are pronounced man and wife. Philip walks out in disgust. Victor is the lone clapper when the newlyweds are presented to the room! When the champagne is being poured, Theo, who wants some, spills it all over Kate's dress! Kate reassures him, saying sometimes she gets mad when someone has something she can't have too! They make friends. Stefano whispers to Lexi, "See! One big, happy family." Lexi rolls her eyes.
At the hospital, Maggie tells Will he did a good job taking care of his father - he was twitching because he had alcohol poisoning. Will says he was a real jerk! Maggie explains that he has a disease, but Will doesn't want to hear it - he's too angry! Maggie hugs him.
Sami arrives at the pub and sits down with Brady. She remarks that she can't find Rafe. Brady is surprised - they were so tight through the whole funeral and everything. He advises her not to decide what Rafe is thinking until she talks to him. Sami explains what has been going on, and that he's no longer returning her calls. Brady talks about not knowing what she and Rafe went through over the loss of the baby - he has a friend who miscarried and he's never seen pain like that in his life! Brady remarks on the bond she and Rafe must share, and she decides to try calling him again. She gets no reply and hangs up, saying maybe he's just moving on with his life.
Rafe is still unconscious and is tied to a chair in a bricked in room. Meredith, holding his cell phone, says that no one is really trying to find him, and that he is the only one who knows she's back! She tells Rafe that she thought he loved her sister - but you don't kill people you love! Rafe's phone rings - it's Sami. Meredith says Sami will never see him again! She muses that Mr. Hernandez is no longer taking calls - not now, and not ever!
At the Horton house, Mia thanks Chad for helping and wonders if she should go to the hospital. Chad says that Will seemed embarrassed at the way Lucas was acting - but she knows all about that from when she was abusing. Mia shrugs. Chad remarks that he hopes that someday she will trust him enough to tell him what really happened.
Back at the DiMera Mansion, Kate thanks Stefano for making the wedding more than a business transaction. She warns that if he wants her to follow through on the other part of the bargain, he'd better put another bottle on ice! Stefano laughs, and says they'll be a glorious couple. He pours them a champagne toast and urges her not to be sad anymore - be happy. He says, "It's your time."
