Brady agrees to help Daniel, Ciara is examined and Stephanie and Philip talk about getting back together.
Kate and Daniel are in bed together in another of Kate’s fantasies. She comes back to reality.
At the Kiriakis computer, Daniel sits and remembers Kate’s longing glances at the pier. He says, "You’re out of control," then calls Lexi.
At the hospital, Lexi ignores a call from Daniel while she tells Nathan that Daniel knows they can’t talk! She worries about Ciara and as she leaves Chloe’s room, she sees Theo, asking to see Ciara. Lexi assures him that she’ll be fine and Abe provides an update on the search.
Stephanie holds a poster of Ciara in the park and prays as Philip talks to Brady on the phone. Philip hears a noise and they head towards it.
Nathan and Melanie are at the nurse’s station when they hear the news about Ciara being found. They’re thrilled and Nathan picks Melanie right up and twirls her around!
Ciara tells Hope that it was really her and her daddy who saved her life, not Officer Dean. Bo says they never stopped searching for her.
Back at the Kiriakis manse, Brady and Daniel hear the good news about Ciara. Daniel says now that Ciara’s safe, he needs Brady’s help in getting that drug to Chloe. Brady did research on the drug and it could kill her. Daniel doesn’t think she’s alive now. They argue and Brady suggests they get Lucas involved. Daniel knows that’ll never happen and feels like he’s the only one on Chloe’s side. Brady doesn’t think Kate is capable of hurting Chloe and says Justin thinks it’s dangerous to try to get to Kate. Brady agrees but Daniel doesn’t think Kate Roberts is invincible. Daniel tells Brady that Kate’s Achilles heel is him! Brady realizes that she’s obsessed with Daniel and Daniel appeals to Brady’s love for his ex-wife. "Help me. She needs us." Brady finally agrees.
Back at the hospital, Nathan notices how bored Melanie looks. She’s doing inventory until she has to do bedpan work. Melanie wonders if Nathan had made a date with Stephanie. He hasn’t and Melanie thinks it’s best, considering she thinks Stephanie and Philip will get back together. Nathan worries about her feelings. She’s fine with it, she says.
Hope cries happy tears for Ciara, who tells her she doesn’t have to cry anymore. Bo and Hope snuggle her and they decide to head to see Lexi before home. Bo jokes they’ll have hot chocolate and broccoli. Ciara shows distaste and laughs and Hope tells him to get it right. It’s hot chocolate and asparagus!
Kate visits Chloe in her room at the hospital and tells her there’s nobody left to help her, but she’ll be there from time to time to tell her about how Daniel will go to jail and get a lethal injection. Nathan walks in and asks what the hell Kate’s doing there. Kate claims she’s the mother-in-law and has every right to see her, but Nathan says she’s not allowed in there. He feels for her and wishes there was something they could do for Chloe. "There’s nothing we can do for her now," says Kate, surprising Nathan, who wonders if she wants Chloe to get better at all! She’s being realistic. They discuss Lucas and Nathan’s not sure he should be the one in charge of her treatment considering what’s going on with their relationship. Kate doesn’t think it’s any of his business and stalks off.
Roman tells Abe and Lexi that he and Bo think that the kidnapper has something against Hope. Both of the kidnappers have records and Lexi needs to know that the guy who took Ciara was a registered sex offender. Lexi is horrified. They’re interrupted by Bo and Hope with Ciara. Ciara goes to say hello to Theo while Lexi hugs Hope. Hope and Ciara go into an examination room while Bo and Roman worry about whether or not she was molested.
Lexi comes out of the examination room and tells the men that it doesn’t appear as though Ciara was molested. There are hugs all around. Hope and Bo visit Ciara and are happy to get her back. Lexi interrupts and the two leave them alone.
Out in the waiting room, Roman thinks they should take Dean’s statement now. He tells them when he found the shed, he was looking through the crack of the door and reached for his cell phone to call for backup. That’s when he saw the male perp putting a blanket over Ciara. He reached for his gun. That’s when Dean pounced. Dean watches as Hope pulls away from Bo’s arms. Later, they consider there’s a third person. Bo wants to ask Ciara a few questions for her own sake. Bo gets up too quickly and almost collapses but Hope grabs his arms. She asks Lexi to look after him, considering he was hit in the head, earlier. Lexi takes him away and Roman wheels Dean in. Roman goes off to make a call while Hope thanks Dean for saving Ciara’s life. She’s thankful the woman was a bad shot. Dean flashes back to shooting himself and agrees to get counseling that the department offers. Roman returns and says they’ve got nothing that ties the perps to Bo or Hope.
Lexi returns with Bo, who has a clean bill of health. Ciara falls asleep in his arms and calls to Hope in her sleep. Nearby, Dean flicks his Zippo lighter, complaining he’d kill for a cigarette. Ciara hears the lighter and remembers hearing the same sound at the shed.
Stephanie and Philip have a beer at Cheatin’ Heart. Philip’s treating the volunteers but thinks he should curb those impulses, since he’s no longer employed! Stephanie says they can live on her salary as a hospital administrative assistant. They discuss getting back together and Stephanie isn’t sure it’ll work. Philip thinks he has grown up and knows it’ll take time for her to believe that. He’s alright with this. Stephanie considers the future. If they have kids, how would she explain why she’s not allowed in the mansion? Her family isn’t thrilled about her being with Philip, either, and in different ways, "We’re both very much family people. When it comes to our families, they just don’t go together!" Philip laughs and thinks she’ll say anything to keep them apart. Stephanie doesn’t want to be hurt again. They hold hands as she realizes this is only about them. She thinks honesty’s the only way to go. Philip flashes back to having sex with Melanie and agrees. He’ll do what it takes to make Stephanie happy.
Brady meets with Melanie and asks for help with Chloe. They need to get to her without anyone finding out. Melanie is suspicious about Dr. Jonas but Brady assures him that Daniel only wants to help Chloe.
Daniel goes to the pier to think and as he drinks from a flask, he imagines Chloe is with him. He kisses her passionately. He tells her he loves her and she feels the same. She trusts him. They kiss again and Daniel comes out of his daydream. "A man’s got to do what a man’s got to do," he says. Whatever it takes.
Kate finds Daniel on the pier alone. She notices he’s been drinking.
Melanie and Nathan chat in the park about Chloe and she tries to convince him to help Dr. Jonas save Chloe’s life. He thinks back to Kate saying there’s nothing they can do for Chloe now and agrees to talk to Dr. Jonas.

Kate tells Daniel, "I just have one question. Where’s the wire?" She rips off his shirt!
