Days of Our Lives - DAILY UPDATES

At the hospital, a crying Marlena tells John how much she loves him and remembers past times they’ve kissed. John wakes up and tells her, “I remember…. I remember all of it, Doc. Especially you!” John struggles to tell her he loves her when Kayla walks in just in time to hear the good news. She’s upset and tells Marlena, "John's central nervous system has had a catastrophic episode. If he stays here even one more day, his chances of recovery are slim." Marlena refuses to lose John again, so Kayla recommends they move John to a facility in Lugarno, Switzerland for treatment. Marlena runs to get Brady and John calls him Brady and declares he remembers him. “I always loved you,” he tells Brady, as tears stream down his face.

Kate arrives at the cabin, wondering why Lucas cancelled the trip to Vancouver. Lucas says Sami called, causing an outcry of grief from Kate, who doesn’t want him to have anything to do with Sami. Lucas says Chloe hasn’t answered her cell phone. He assumes she went to see Daniel. Kate’s confused as to why he’d know, but Lucas tells her about Daniel’s visit. Kate finds this strange and not any of Daniel’s business. Lucas agrees and Kate decides to go there and find out what’s up, herself.

Chloe breaks off the kiss at Daniel’s place and tries to leave, but is drawn back to Daniel, and they start kissing again. They have sex and Daniel tells Chloe he loves her, repeatedly. She tells him she knows this is more than just physical. Daniel doesn’t feel shame for his feelings, but does feel shame in deceiving. He’d like to tell everyone the truth.

EJ walks into the mansion calling for Nicole, who has left. He finds Stefano and asks if he has seen Nicole. He hasn’t seen her. EJ hopes she didn’t go to Chicago and asks where Stefano is off to. He’s going to Rome, Italy on business to save their fortune. He’ll be back before Nicole is due, next week, then stops to take a call. “Dear God,” he exclaims, in shock. Stefano says his contact at the hospital says John Black was attacked and poisoned and there’s a chance he may not recover. He rages and EJ tells him to stay here. He’ll go to Europe and Stefano can see John.

Sami prays at the convent as Nicole arrives. She starts yelling at Sami, calling her names. Nicole rants that she was supposed to give EJ a child and wants Sami to know the pain she felt. She takes a statue of the Virgin Mary and hits Sami over the head. Nicole wakes up from a daydream and hides, when Sister Theresa comes. Sami worries about Rafe to the sister and says she has been thinking and praying and has decided she needs Theresa to take the baby until she can figure something else out. Nicole listens, curiously. Sister Theresa asks where she plans on giving birth to her child. Sami wants to give birth nearby, where nobody will know her.

Marlena goes to John, who panics, when he realizes he can’t feel his arms and legs.

Out in the lobby, Roman and Brady are surprised when Stefano shows up.

John finds out he can’t walk and tells Marlena to walk out the door and never look back. He’s no good to her. Marlena shares the information about the treatment facility in Switzerland. They need to go now. John’s astonished that she’d leave with him but she reminds him he’s her life. She’ll work hard to help him. John tells her before they do any of this, he’d like to marry her – again, before they leave! Marlena does too, and they decide to call the priest. They kiss.

Marlena tells the others in the lounge the good news. Stefano tells her he had nothing to do with this but Marlena doesn’t care what he says. He can’t hurt them again.

Marlena goes into John’s room, where Father Jansen starts the wedding, in front of Roman, Kayla and Brady. Father Jansen presides and Stefano salutes John, before they start. Marlena says her vows and tells him she knew they’d be together again. John thinks she’s the only reason he’s there. They profess their love in their vows and kiss, passionately.

Nicole gets an appointment with Sister Theresa at the convent. EJ calls and overreacts, demanding to know where she is. She’s out for a walk, she lies, casually and EJ explains he’s got to leave town on business. Nicole asks if he’ll miss the birth but he definitely won’t. He hears Sister Theresa blessing Nicole and asks where she is. Nicole says a nun just passed her. She understands about the business trip. EJ will stay in touch he says. They hang up and Sister Theresa asks why she lied when she was on the phone. Nicole replies, "I'm not lying. I'm rearranging the facts. And I need your help!"

Chloe dresses and Daniel apologizes for things happening this way. Chloe finds him kind and caring. It’s one of the reasons she loves him, she says. He asks her to answer a knock at the door while he takes a call. Chloe reluctantly goes to the door. Outside, we see Kate, waiting impatiently.

Lucas leaves a message for Chloe and meanwhile, Chloe opens the door to Kate, who is just leaving, saying this will make him feel more uncomfortable.

EJ leaves a note for Nicole and leaves town.

Back at the convent, Nicole tells Theresa that her name is Mary, like their blessed mother. She heard the convent helps mothers in need and tells the sister she is Catholic and pregnant and if her family ever found out, it would be bad. She asks Sister Theresa to help her with her child and the sister is amazed that there’s yet another girl there in the same predicament.

Nearby, Sami prays, and then hears somebody approach. She calls out. “Rafe!”

Nicole asks, "Mia, can I call you back? I'm in the middle of something." Mia can’t. She’s in labor.

Sami doubles over. She thinks she’s having her baby.

Steve asks Bo, "What did you see?" Bo says, "It felt like death."

The killer yells at an unconscious Rafe. "Wake up! You hear me? You can't die!"
