Sami's FBI agent has had enough of her antics, Melanie shows another side to her and Bo and Hope get new evidence about Nicole!

Chloe arrives at the Java Café and interrupts Philip's work. When he appears distant, she says she'll leave him alone but asks if he's seen Lucas. Philip tells her that Kate has lung cancer and is getting chemotherapy. He feels bad that he was glad not to have to see her at her worse, but Chloe calls him human. She reminds him of her own cancer and says people do beat it. Philip's scared to death, he confesses.

At the mansion, Nicole sits with Cynthia Savage, a designer, who discusses colors for the nursery. Nicole refuses to get a test to find out the baby's sex, and Cynthia yells that she can't work that way. She needs to know what the sex is. EJ interrupts and Nicole shares what's going on. He wants to talk to her, he says, so Nicole gets rid of Cynthia. EJ thinks she's jumping the gun a little, though he understands that she wants to build a home for herself and the baby. EJ thinks they should discuss marriage, before they discuss decorating. Nicole is floored and thinks she heard wrong. She didn't. He tells her that he wants to discuss marriage with her. She's carrying his child, but after the baby is born, otherwise, they need to discuss custody of the child. Nicole's a little put off that it's not so romantic.

Sami makes a call to her doctor and is interrupted by Darryl, at the safe house. "What the hell are you doing," he demands. She lies that she doesn't feel well and he tells her she needs to talk to him if she's sick. Sami yells that she's trapped with a vegan storm trooper and lies that she's got food poisoning, but soon runs to the bathroom and throws up. Darryl apologizes. Most people fake sick to get information from the outside world. He offers to get her ginger ale, but she wants to go to the clinic. Even if she's very ill, he isn't taking her anywhere, he says. Sami plays up her sickness and manipulates him into doing something for her. He leaves the place and says he'll return soon. Once he does, he has a doctor with him, blindfolded! He shows Sami his license and Sami tries to get rid of Darryl so the doctor can examine her, but he refuses. The doctor tells him he examines Sami alone, or he'll contact FBI. Darryl leaves the room and Sami tells him she's pregnant and he examines her. She asks him to keep quiet about the pregnancy and take the prenatal vitamins she has. Darryl arrives and the doctor tells him that Sami will need less stress, exercise and follow up medical care. Sami's thankful for him. He's blindfolded and Sami tells the doctor that Darryl smokes. She tells him Darryl might need a lecture on smoking in the car on the way home. "You smoke? In this day in age," the doctor starts!
After Darryl returns, Sami asks him to get her some pickles. He's surprised that she'd eat pickles after she got so sick. He says he's on to her and she drives him nuts. In ten minutes he's off the 'witch' detail. She has a new guy assigned to her case. He's happy he'll get to walk out of there and never see her again! An FBI agent arrives, calling herself Hilda. "Your worst nightmare!"

At the police station, after Melanie takes the letter from Mr. Berman, Bo and Hope interrupt her and ask to see the letter. She lies that she doesn't have it, but they know Mr. Berman gave it to her. She was set up and she fell for it! Hope tells her the letter was meant for them! Melanie tells Bo and Hope that they enjoy their jobs just a little too much but Hope tells her this is an investigation, not a game. Bo thinks she's trying to impede it. She hands over the letter, Bo and Hope read it and tell Melanie she can go, but can't leave town. They bag the letter as evidence and she tells them she's done being harassed about her father's death, and will file a complaint if they don’t leave her alone. Hope gives her a number to call to complain about them and this upsets Melanie, who runs out. They find another letter, inside the original, and Bo opens it.

Back at Java Café, Philip is glad Chloe's tight with Lucas because he's not good at being a brother in a time of need. Chloe isn't sure he's right and asks who he'll talk to. Stoically, he says he'll be fine. Chloe will be there for both he and Lucas. Philip calls Lucas lucky to have her and with some issue, Philip finally agrees to let her help him and they knock knuckles as friends. Just then, Melanie interrupts and asks who Philip is hitting on, now! "Wow, it took me less than two seconds to dislike you," says Chloe, grinning. Philip tells Chloe that Melanie's had a bad week and Chloe leaves. "Take care. Ditch her," she says as she walks out! Melanie tells him that he tried to get her into trouble, but she just walked out on Bo and Hope. She thinks the letter cleared her and that they're arresting the person who did it right now. Philip doubts it. "Letters from dead people aren't proof of anything." Melanie doesn't know why she wastes her time with him she says and leaves. Chloe returns and asks why he bothers with Melanie. He calls it a diversion. Chloe says Lucas called her before she even got to her car. They made plans later, to see each other. They discuss Kate and Chloe tells Philip she's going to look after him and the sooner he realizes that the better. She gives him a peck on the lips and leaves. Melanie arrives looking sad and apologizes about his mother. She overheard his conversation with Chloe. Philip tells her it's fine but she again apologizes.

Back at the mansion, Nicole says to EJ that she wished he'd have said something nice about her eyes and personality, but he says he loves both and worries about Johnny. Nicole becomes nervous. She's practical and a lot of her issues could be solved by marrying him, but she worries he's trying to claim ownership, like Stefano DiMera. EJ laughs. He just offered her everything she needed and she put somebody above herself. "Motherhood is bringing out the best in you," he tells her with a kiss. Nicole doesn't think EJ's being like his father, but that he's a great father. A doorbell interrupts. Nicole goes to get it. Hope and Bo arrive with questions about Trent's murder. EJ stays as her lawyer and Bo asks what happened the night of Trent's murder. EJ asks what they're up to and Hope says they can prove Nicole lied to them about what happened the night of Trent's murder. Bo thinks she ran into Robbins the night of the murder, but she denies it. EJ tells them they're harassing Nicole, but Bo has proof.
