Shot, Dead and Buried in an Unmarked Grave!

Thursday, September 25 2008
Max fights Trent, Caroline appeals to Roman and Bo, Chloe admits she's not ready for kids and Nicole goes to Philip for help with Trent and Victor.

Claude calls Trent, at the hotel. He's trying his patience and wants his money, or he wants Trent's daughter. "One or the other," he says, and hangs up. Trent looks at a photo of Melanie. He debates whether or not he can produce Melanie and realizes he has no other choice, since he does not have the cash.

Philip and Lucas dine at Chez Rouge and discuss how Chloe's helping him with Allie. He was able to meet Philip for dinner, because Chloe's babysitting. When Chloe shows up, both men are confused and Lucas is angry that she handed off babysitting duty to a sitter. He goes off to call the sitter, and Nicole shows up and asks for Philip's help. Lucas returns and says Gabrielle is fine and they're watching a movie. Chloe rants, "You mean Gabrielle hasn't smacked Allie around?" She stomps off, and Nicole goes after her. Philip tells Lucas that Chloe meant well.

Nicole and Chloe sit at the bar and discuss how Lucas is probably worried about what Sami would say. Chloe's tired of hearing about Allie. She's not sure she's ready for a family. She adores the child, but she's not cut out to be a mom, just yet. Nicole understands completely, she says. She can barely take care of herself, so she's not ready either! Chloe calls Nicole caring and compassionate. "You'd make a great mom," Chloe admits. Nicole is surprised and urges Chloe to tell Lucas how she feels. Lucas arrives by their side and apologizes for snapping at her. Chloe accepts and they go off to dance.

As they dance, Chloe looks miserable, and Lucas apologizes again. He likes having her in his life. Philip and Nicole talk, nearby. Nicole wonders if he can help her with Victor. Philip likes her. "God only knows why," he admits, but he can't help it. Nicole can't pay back the money she already spent, she says. Philip can't help and points out that she should have thought of that when she married Trent. She blames Bo for telling Victor. Philip says to talk to her lawyer or reconsider the annulment with Trent. Nicole doesn't want to negotiate with Trent. "He should be shot dead and buried in an unmarked grave." She'd do it herself if she had the means. Philip tries to keep her quiet as she rants. Chloe and Lucas finish dancing and Lucas goes home. Chloe notices Nicole's pale. She's not feeling well and Chloe notices. Nicole goes home while Chloe asks if Philip knows what he wants. "Do you?"

Nicole calls EJ, nearby.

Nick takes a seat with Chelsea at the pub, and notices she's upset. He offers to listen, so she opens up and shares about what happened with Dr. Jonas. She has reverted to calling Kate by her first name and isn't sure if she's seeing Daniel still. She can see something in the way they look at each other and thinks she should have known better for caring for Daniel. Nick thinks she needs to learn to trust the right people. "Stick with me kid," he grins. Chelsea says it's a shame his generosity and forgiveness didn't rub off on her. She can't forgive Kate and Daniel. Nick thinks you have to work on forgiveness, sometimes. Chelsea's lucky to have Nick, she comments, but says she doesn't have him. He has moved on with Melanie. Nick thinks this is crazy for her to judge Melanie and he tells her she's being dysfunctional with her. He can't dwell on the past and asks her not to claim him as a consolation prize. He wants her to leave him alone and if he wants to pursue something with Melanie, it's his business. They argue about Melanie and Nick calls her smart, funny, spontaneous and he's never met someone like her. He sings her praises but Chelsea still doesn't trust her.

Outside the pub, Melanie asks Max to play it cool where their father is concerned. He can't turn the other cheek. Trent's slime for what he did to her. Melanie is happy he cares so much but she can't get used to being around him. She needs to get away from Trent for her sanity. Max yells that he won't let her go. She has family there. "If anyone's going to leave, it's going to be him." Trent text messages Melanie and asks her to his hotel room. He says it's urgent. Max says they should go. He'll drive her! She yells that he's the last person she wants to see but he thinks they can clear the air and tell Trent what they really think of him.

Max and Melanie wind up in Trent's hotel room. He asks for a favor. He tells Melanie he knows he put her in a difficult position with Claude but she left him in a messy situation. Claude's not happy with him and he wants Melanie to clean up her mess, or he's a dead man. Max says, "Wow, you're in a bind here." Trent tells Max he feels a connection to him, even though they don't see eye to eye. Max doesn't see it. Trent turns to Melanie and says he knows he has disappointed her but she means the world to him. Melanie starts to cry. She asks Max to let her leave. She hates when he's like this. "Oh God, please help me, Melanie. Please," Trent begs. Max tells Trent to back off, but Trent tells Melanie he'll change. Melanie perks up and wants to believe him but Max sees right through Trent and tells him to stop manipulating Melanie and stay away from her. He grabs Max by the lapels and threatens to kill him. Melanie calls Nick and begs him to come to Trent's hotel room. Meanwhile, Max punches Trent in the head. Trent goes down and Max continues beating him as Melanie screams in fear.

Bo finds Roman looking at a cold case of a missing child. They discuss Hope, who thinks Roman is upset with her for turning down the position of police commissioner. Roman turned it down, too. He's not upset with her. He's worried that the Mayor will put in a DiMera associate and if that happens, he'll quit. Bo will as well, he says. Roman asks Bo to take the job. Roman thinks he's the best man for the job. Roman calls the Mayor's office to recommend Bo as police commissioner! Bo doesn't want the job but Roman tells him that if Bo took over, he'd love it. Caroline arrives, upset. She tells the men she is worried sick about Max and his vendetta for Trent. She worries he'll go after Trent. Max is impulsive as Bo is. He takes things into his own hands. Roman promises they'll both take care of Max, and asks her to calm down. She can't! Bo and Roman will take Max for dinner, and talk, but Caroline says it's not good enough. They have to do something about Trent. "Get him to leave Salem." Roman calls Caroline irrational, but Caroline points out that he's a criminal. Bo retorts that it happened on foreign soil. Their hands are tied. "Really? Well, mine aren't," she says and stomps off.

Nick and Chelsea rush into Trent's hotel room and Nick pulls Max off Trent. Nick says he has the grant money and can give it to him. Melanie yells out, "What?" Nick thinks he can give Trent the money and then he'll leave them alone, but Trent gets up off the floor and grunts. "Leave? I'm not going anywhere." He likes it at the University, and says they'll be rich, once the kinks are worked out on the prototype. Trent approaches Melanie and asks her not to cry. She begs Max, "I can't do this." Meanwhile, Trent appeals to Melanie's trust for him and asks her to help him. It doesn't work this time. She's strong and tells him she's through with him. She yells that Max is the best person she knows and Trent dumped him. Trent yells that his children are losers and worthless. They all leave him ranting at them. Once they're outside, Trent tells Melanie that their father is as good as gone. One way or another, he's leaving Salem tonight!

Next on Days Of Our Lives:

Chelsea asks Daniel why he called Kate to the hospital, for the next step, if they're not together.

EJ asks Nicole why she keeps calling Trent her dearly departed husband! "I am," she asks, coyly.

A knock comes to Max's door. He has a bloody article of clothing in his hand and looks guilty. The person calls, "Max?"

There was nothing wrong with Lucas having Cholie watch Allie while he went to dinner with Philip. By God even a teen can babysit. How could he know Cholie couldn't even manage that for a few hours? At least Cholie doesn't leave Allie alone so no harm is done accept this should make it clear that Cholie is not a keeper. Family means to much to Lucas for him to sacrifice that for any woman.

I'm sorry but Lucas needs to slow his roll. He hasn't even asked Chloe out on a proper date but he's asking her to watch Allie, his kid that he only gets part of the time. Sorry but he should save his dinner's out alone for when he doesn't have his daughter. Also he's already starting that self righteuos crap he did with Sami. He's getting as bad as his mother Kate. The writers can do so much more with Lucas's character than what they are doing. I hate the way they always have him attack and judge people.

It sounds like a really good Episode. It sounds like Im really going to like what Nick is going to say to Chelsea. I hope she listens to him.

Watching Roman rip a strip into Bo was so frustrating! What a hypocrite, he's sitting there saying "if you care about the people in Salem you will take the Police Commissioner job...so the fact that Roman didn't take it must mean he doesn't care.

I love Caroline but her little speech was WAY too repetitive. She is a talented actress, she shouldn't just be doing recaps in her "chats" with the boys.

I am liking Nicole more and more these days. I'm glad they FINALLY wrote her infertility issues into the script...we all remembered that she was told she could NEVER get pregnant. I feel bad for her right now, I hope Victor decides to let her keep half the settlement. It will be good karma for him

The show is getting good. I really want to see more of EJ and Nicole. Ive been waiting all week.

Im all for Lucas getting out and having lunch with Phillip. Better having Cholie watch Allie than Stephano. It dont hurt for a parent to go out and have a babysitter every now and then. And heck Cholie stayed with them at the Horton cabin. And they were all friends for along time before. So whats wrong with him asking her to watch Allie? There is nothing wrong with it at all and by the way, Where is Sami??? I havent seen her in awhile.

(Bo finds Roman looking at a cold case of a missing child.)

I am afraid that this may be a clue that perhaps Melanie is not Max's sister after all? Maybe Melanie was abducted by Trent when she was just a baby? Perhaps that is why Melanie keeps referring to "her freedom?"

This could, of course, ruin my hopes for the Nicole is Melanie's mother story line.

But, I read somewhere that Tony has a daughter that dissappeared a long time ago..so maybe Melanie is a DiMera?

I liked Lucas better when he was with Sami. He was such a great "man" at their wedding which Kate once again tried to ruin. He should never have pushed Sami away. He pushed her right into EJ's arms.

Hi guys! Ok here's a couple of possibilities. a) Nicole's baby daddy is Trent. We haven't actually seen them do the deed but he's blackmailed & threatened her for money & their dirty little secret. What's to say he didn't push her to be intimate as well? b) If indeed Melanie is a DiMera & Tony/John/Stefano/EJ...any of the known DiMera's find out & know what Trent has done, there could be more motive & suspects for killing Trent. Food for thought!

Good point about the Cold Case - I think they said a girl that went missing when she was 8 years old...or am I making that up, I do that more and more as I age haha.

This episode seems very exciting! If I were Lucas I would also be upset with Chloe..he asked HER to babysit, and she agreed so she should have stayed home with Ali. I knew Lucas and Chloe would never work out. I am sure this will be the last straw in their relationship and someone is about to get dumped. I also think it is fine for Lucas to go out to dinner with his brother..Sami is not with the twins all the time (housekeepers and Maggie see more of the twins than Sami does) so why is Lucas such a bad guy for going out to eat with his brother? He lined up a sitter, so I see no problem with this...I do see a problem with Ej and Sami leaving the twins alone with housekeepers in the Dimera mansion, especially with Stefano there! I mean really, which is worse, Chloe babysitting, or the man who has been trying to destroy Sami's family for decades? This is a no brainer.

The Max/Trent/Melanie stuff looks great today!..and I am so proud of Nick for not babying Chelsea.
