Lucas decides to visit the Horton Cabin, Bo comes clean and Hope thinks Ava sent the anonymous email.

Chloe visits Lucas at the hospital, bearing gifts. She gives him two pounds of pistachios and countless magazines, fluffs his pillow and takes drink requests until Lucas reminds her that this wasn't her fault. She wants to be here for him. Maggie walks in, laden with presents and isn't sure Sami would want Chloe there tending to Lucas' every need. Lucas says Sami knows and was here, already. Maggie was simply trying to avoid any issues. Chloe goes to get coffee while Lucas admits he wants to take a break from Sami. It's exhausting trying to love Sami, who is up one minute and down the next. Maggie asks if Chloe's the answer. "I don't know. Maybe she is." Maggie heard about Lucas and Chloe's liaison in the elevator, she confesses and Lucas blows up. "I hate this town!" He says Chloe made him open his eyes and he now has perspective. He hates to admit it but he now knows what it's like to be in a calm, caring relationship. Maggie understands his point but he and Sami have a long history. Lucas shakes his head. He needs to recharge. That makes sense to her and she thinks she knows the place where he can do that. "The Horton Cabin, on Smith Island!" Lucas takes a key from her and thanks Aunt Maggie. "Lucas, I would do anything for you. I hope you know that by now?" Lucas knows and says they've always enjoyed a special connection. That's why it's important that she know where he's coming from. Not because she's family only, but because she's his sponsor. Maggie is sure nobody can understand what it's like to be incarcerated unless they have been there. Lucas worried about Allie the whole time, he admits. Maggie is thankful he's home. From outside the door, Chloe listens in. She comes in and gives Lucas green tea. "It's for healing," she explains and Maggie hugs Lucas and leaves the two alone. Lucas tells her he's going to the Horton Cabin to spend time alone to figure out what he really wants.

At the mansion, Nicole lets EJ know that Trent is a control freak and is used to her doing what she's told. She doesn't want anything to do with him and will lose everything if Victor found out that she was married to Trent. She begs him to help her. He kisses her on the head and tells her it means a lot to him, that she has come to him for help but wonders where this leaves them? Nicole can't allow them to be seen by Trent, or he'll ruin her. EJ says they will figure something out. Everyone has skeletons in their closet! Nicole knows one of Trent's! She shocks EJ with the news that Max Brady is Trent's biological son and that neither want anyone to know. Max hates Trent and she found out that Max is in France. EJ says knowledge is power, so they need to get information to give them leverage. "I'm not doing this as your lawyer. I'm doing this as your friend." EJ assumes there is more to this than meets the eye. Nicole makes a call and finds out that Max and Stephanie are in Europe. EJ says Stephanie's an old race car buddy of his. He can call her! Nicole is touched. Nobody's ever been this nice to her, she confesses and EJ holds her close and tells her to get used to it!

At Salem PD, Roman asks Hope about the so called evidence the person who wrote the anonymous email is talking about. Hope has no idea. Morgan didn't take anything out of the package and she saw nothing. Both wish they could catch a break. Hope decides to try to trace the source of the email. They find another cop, Harry, who does some research and finds that the email originated from the Java Café. Roman needs to talk to Leo, the undercover cop. Roman's gut tells him John's in this over his head. Hope comments, he's not the only one.

Bo visits Philip in the hospital. Philip's feeling like a lab rat and wonders how Victor is doing. Victor's having a rough time but hanging in there, says Bo, who also shares the news about the anonymous email and finds out that Philip received a similar note before the shooting. Bo swears. "It sounds like a setup. Somebody knows what I did." Philip thinks it's John. "Maybe he's bluffing to put the spotlight back on me." Bo comments that he was happy to find Philip was innocent and will do all he can to protect him. Philip reminds Bo that he's a Kiriakis. Bo says he spent a long time ignoring it but can't any longer. He loves his Brady parents and though Victor's not easy to love, "You are flesh and blood," finishes Philip. Bo says when Philip visited him in the hospital, it was the first time their relationship felt real. He put his career and both his families at risk when he hid the evidence. Philip will never forget this and apologizes. Bo comforts him. "It's eating me up inside," says Philip and knows John's in on this. "Whatever happens, I've got your back," says Philip.

Hope asks Evan at Java Café if he can help find out who emailed the anonymous letter. He will pull the closed circuit video and find out. She bumps into Doug, and they catch up. Hope asks if he'd break the law to help a family member. Doug thinks it would depend on the issue. His past is no secret. He did con jobs, security fraud and broke the law more times than he cares to remember. It wasn't to protect anyone and he spent time in prison. "You cross the line, you don't forget," he says. He hates to admit he probably would break the law to protect family. No matter what, Hope can come to him, he says and wants to know what this is about. She can't tell him. She lies that it's not about Bo and Evan catches her eye, so she cuts things short. "Daddy, don't worry," she asks and tells him to come to the house for a visit soon.
Evan shows her the video of Ava using the internet at the same time the email was sent. Hope calls Roman to tell him the news. She's sure it's Ava, though there is no real evidence. Roman puts a tail on Ava. Hope hangs up. "Bo, what did you do?"

Morgan visits Philip. She feels bad about this whole thing. She thought she could get the truth from John. Philip reminds her John won't tell her anything. Morgan asks for forgiveness but there is nothing to forgive. He promises he'll find out what happened to Paul. Philip smiles and tells her he heard everything she said while he was unconscious. "Wow," says Morgan, dumbfounded. She tries to explain that she thought he was dying but Philip thinks it's wonderful! They got off on the wrong foot and things have grown so quickly but he too has something to tell her. He whispers in her ear and her eyes widen. She kisses him.

Hope arrives home and reads a post card from Shawn and Belle, who are in Fiji and doing well. Shaun got a buzz cut and lost his beard and Claire has grown an inch! Bo mentions his visit to Philip and Hope's happy to see the two are working things out. She lets him know she's sure Ava was the one who sent the anonymous email and asks what Bo knows about the missing evidence. "I tampered with evidence to protect my brother, Philip."

Next on Days Of Our Lives:
Morgan is thankful. "I've just never had anybody save my life before." Phillip says he'd do it again in a heartbeat.
Ava runs to John. "Thank God you're here. We've got big trouble." John asks, "What's going on?" Ava says, "I'm being followed. I'm sure of it!"
Hope tells Bo, "Now you're acting like a Kiriakis, not the man I love!"
