There's a break in the Hollingsworth case, Chelsea brings Daniel home for dinner, Daniel and Kate meet up.
Daniel walks into the pub and Chelsea pops up. He tells her she will rock the pediatrics department and helps her into a chair. She's had "an insane-crazy-busy day" and didn't even have time to see him. She gushes about the kids she's been dealing with and how much she appreciated working with them since she can't have any of her own. Chelsea says she's okay with this but still thinks about it. So does he; he still blames himself for it and wishes there was something he could do. "How are my Dad and Grandpa?" she asks. He says they're doing okay. She knows he's lying. He suggests her father is just stressed out; things are "a little more iffy" with Victor though. Daniel says that Philip and Bo just need to chill out and stop agitating their father. She decides it's time to go home for dinner and asks him along, promising that Bo and Hope will be cool. He sighs and agrees.
At the station, Abe is sure that something must be off about the package Paul left behind. Lexi arrives with a list of therapists and therapies for Theo. "Whatever it takes, I'm there," he says. He just worries that Theo won't have time to play and be a kid. She says that's what the therapy is all about. He worries about the cost. She says it will be around two thousand dollars a month and they'll have to get creative. They worry about the future, but decide to think about the here and now first. A call comes in that gives him a break in the Hollingsworth case.
At the Kiriakis mansion, Kate sits down with Philip and tells him not to fret. "Men don't fret," he barks. He feels like he's getting an ulcer. Kate reassures him, saying that the tape is gone. Philip feels terrible that Bo had to clean up his mess. Annoyed, he gets up from the table. She reminds him that he was always the compassionate one; the one who broke up fights... Bo and Victor know that. "You have no idea what I'm capable of," he says. He's done things she wouldn't be proud of. "No matter what it is, you are my son and my heart, so please talk to me," she says. He can't say anymore, but whatever he did, it was for the family. She tells him that's why Bo did what he did and why she destroyed the tape. Philip knows she's always lived a life in the gray area, but Bo has compromised his morality and could lose everything. She tells him to stop being pessimistic. He accuses her of only seeing what she wants to see.
Suddenly, Morgan arrives, to Kate's surprise. Philip gives her a hug and Kate excuses herself. Morgan is maudlin. He encourages her not to expect the worst and sits her down at the table. She shakes her head, still having no idea what could have happened to her father. She apologizes for constantly unloading this on him. Her phone rings: It's Abe asking her to come down and look at some new information. Philip leaps up at this. She asks him to come to the station with her.
At home, Bo can't eat. Caroline gathers the dishes and Bo begins playing with his daughter. Caroline sends the little girl off to play in the other room and asks her son what's wrong. He claims he's only worried about Victor. She senses there is more. He tells her that after burying his pop, the thought of burying his biological father is a little much. Caroline kicks herself for being thoughtless and promises that Victor will make it through. After encouraging him not to bottle up his feelings, she brings Ciara some ice cream.
Daniel and Chelsea arrive. Chelsea plays with Ciara while Daniel and Bo try to be civil. Caroline tells them they missed dinner but she can heat up the leftovers. She tells Bo to fix them drinks while she gets dinner. As they sit at the table, they try making small talk. Bo soon walks out to make a call. Daniel announces that he needs to make a call as well. He follows Bo into the living room. Daniel tells him that he's not going to stand by and watch Bo undo what the hospital has done for he and Victor. Whatever is going on, they need to cool it. Meanwhile, Caroline and Chelsea wonder what the men are talking about. Chelsea walks in to the other room find out. Bo says her boyfriend is being overly concerned. Daniel says that they will be locking down Victor's room: Every time Bo or Philip go near him his blood pressure jumps. Caroline joins them and they sit around the living room. Chelsea starts to gab about her new job and how great a doctor Daniel is. He announces it's time for him to go look at an apartment and asks Chelsea if she'd like to come. She would and tells him she'll call for the address later. The doctor leaves and Bo goes up to see Ciara. "Do you know what's wrong with my dad?" she asks her grandma. Caroline imagines it's just Victor. They discuss the doctor. Chelsea's sure it is going well and hopes her dad will come around. Chelsea leaves and Bo comes down. Caroline tells him to give Daniel a chance. He shrugs and groans. A call comes in from Abe with news on the case.
In France, Max and Steph sleep on the train. He wakes up and untangles himself from her embrace. After he slips away, she wakes up and a man is sitting beside her. He starts chatting to her. She flashes back to her rape and begins screaming for Max. As he chats her up, she cringes in the corner. He puts his hand in her purse and she pulls out some mace. After taking some threats from her, he leaves, blowing kisses. Max soon returns with breakfast and asks her if anything exciting happened while he was gone. She says she just stopped a pickpocket from pinching her wallet. He kicks himself for leaving her alone but she can obviously take care of herself. He tells her how beautiful she looks. They laugh and kiss.
Daniel is on the roof of the building he's gone to check out. Kate wanders out to him. He asks her what she thinks. She asks him how he feels. He thinks Chelsea will like it. She says it's perfect. "Perfectly twisted," he comments. She says he's a good man and will make the right decision. If he was a good man, he wouldn't be in this position, he grimaces. She asks him if they've been wasting their time. "It was a helluva time," he says. Kate makes him promise not to hurt Chelsea. "I would rather die," he vows.
Philip takes Morgan to see Abe at the station. Abe informs her that they have found her father's jacket and his ID. It was floating in the river. She chokes back her tears.

"I just came back from meeting with the assistant DA. I wouldn't be making any long term plans right now," EJ advises Ava.
"What's going on, or should I ask, what are you trying to hide?" Tony asks Kate.
"I know he wouldn't just up and leave if he wasn't really scared of something or someone," Morgan says.
