PG 13

Friday, July 18 2008
Stephanie finds Max, EJ bribes a judge and Marlena goes to Rolf for help.

In his compartment, on the train headed through France, Max reads. He asks when the train departs and is told shortly, but they had to pick up another passenger. Max returns to his seat and Stephanie enters the compartment and jumps into his arms, with a kiss. Max doesn't appear happy to see her. He told her not to come. "Your dad's going to kill me," he rants, but she relays that she spoke with Steve and everything is fine. Besides, she knows French. Max wants her to leave. She blasts him for leaving a letter for them, instead of telling them he was leaving to their faces. She thinks she can help him on this trip and isn't going anywhere. Max changes his tune and asks her to stay, help him find his sister. The two kiss.

Nicole orders a coat for Pookie on the phone before Ava meets her at the pub and shares that she spent the afternoon with John, but with nothing to dish. They fooled around but he kept it PG 13. Nicole is confused. Ava's got it all and if she were a guy, she'd "Totally jump on it!" Ava shares her secret of how she deals with John - she doesn't try to change him, but doesn't think he's over Marlena. Nicole admits she slept with EJ. She has feelings for him and Ava asks her to call him, but Nicole can't. Ava saw him at John's and EJ said he was upset about a woman - Nicole, likely. She thinks EJ likes her and encourages her friend to call him and take it slow. Nicole says there's something she doesn't know. Trent Robbins is in the way. She asks Ava to promise not to share what she's about to say. After she spills, Ava promises not to tell. Nicole's happy to have it off her chest.

An incognito Dr. Rolf meets Marlena at the pub. She laughs that he looks like an extra in the Sopranos. Rolf morosely says he'll be sleeping with the fishes if John finds him there. Marlena tells him she needs his cooperation and won't take no for an answer! When John calls, Rolf puts on his American accent. He is asked for a favor. Rolf gets rid of him by saying he's finishing his glaze on his soap dish. Marlena offers immunity if he fixes the disc. She wonders if he's happy working for John. Rolf isn't and Marlena tells him that she'll be discrete and will do what she can to help him. Dr. Rolf just can't trust her. Marlena says she'll find a way to get John's memory back and when she does, Rolf will spend a long time behind bars! She leaves.

EJ tells John the guests are almost at the mansion and that his plan will restore John's reputation within the community. John will trust him after tonight! Judge Karen Fitzpatrick arrives and admits she did homework on EJ before she came. They have an acquaintance in common. Harry Rottinghouse, EJ's Law Professor at Cambridge. John arrives and Karen remembers him. John doesn't remember her and after he leaves, Karen calls what happened to him, tragic. "Yeah, that poor man," says EJ. She realizes he didn't know who she was. "He was such a pillar of the community." She wonders if EJ invited her there to try to clear up his reputation. EJ denies it. He wanted to make a small donation to her campaign. It's actually massive, and she refuses it. He thinks the young, hot DA will take it if she doesn't, and gives her the check, just in case she changes her mind. She leaves and John returns. He enjoyed listening in and admits he has the place wired with cameras. He could hear and see everything! EJ's unnerved. John still doesn't trust EJ, though he's impressed with tonight's good deed. It doesn't erase the fact that he shot him and took one of his kidneys, but if he can be as loyal to him as he was to Stefano, perhaps they can work together. First, EJ needs to figure out what he's going to do with Samantha. He comments on the court order. EJ says it's to protect his son, but John thinks it is to take advantage of his step-daughter. EJ wonders why John suddenly cares and says that if he is looking for EJ to admit he cares for Samantha, a good way to start is to admit he still has feelings for Marlena.

In his office, Roman tells Lucas that he's not going to Statesville. He's going somewhere much worse! Lucas asks Roman not to tell Sami that he's going to maximum security. Sami walks in and overhears. "What?" She panics and asks Roman what he can do to help. "It's out of my hands," he says. If he exhibits good behavior, he can go back to minimum security. Roman leaves the two alone and Sami asks how he could do this to his children. Lucas apologizes. He called Will already. Sami brings up Chloe and how much it hurts that he had sex with her. Lucas knows how she feels, considering she has feelings for EJ. Lucas says he was furious and didn't know what to do. He tried to be noble but isn't as noble as he thought he was. They argue and each other wonders if EJ and Chloe were worth it. Lucas will find a way out to come back to Ali, but doesn't know about anything else. He is taken away, leaving Sami weeping with Roman. Sami worries about how Lucas will fare. She's afraid for him, afraid for her and worries he won't come home this time to watch their kids grow up. Sami and Roman make dinner plans before she leaves his office.

Lucas returns, later, and Roman gives Lucas a photo of Allie. "Just remember you're doing this for her," says Roman. Lucas knows he's right and hopes the next time Allie sees him isn't at his funeral.

Sami returns to the mansion looking for Rolf. She tells them that Lucas was sent back to prison. "One less mouth to feed," says John and EJ apologizes, but thinks she had to be expecting this. He thinks she should move on but not with him. "You're a mess," he tells her, unkindly. Sami says Lucas made a mistake and she made one, sleeping with EJ. She and Lucas can overcome this. EJ doubts it. She retorts that she'll forgive Lucas but will never forgive him. Sami leaves and John thinks what EJ's doing is cruel. Sami loves those rug rats. EJ tells him he must do this and they discuss the possibility of EJ working for John. EJ's sure he can prove himself.

Next on Days Of Our Lives:

Marlena says, "I think I might've figured out a way to get John's memory back." Roman says, "That's good news." Marlena needs his help.

Lucas says, "You shouldn't be here." Chloe had to come and tell him how sorry she is.

Kayla says, "I didn't realize that you had moved back to your apartment." Sami says, "I'm showing it to someone," she says. Kayla asks, "Is it anybody we know?" It's … Ava! She'll be living across the hall!

Paying off a judge? Wonder if this means that EJ's client's Ava and John will get off from current and future crimes? (ya know the old blackmail)

Posted by SJH 13 at Friday, July 18 2008 09:22 AM

If that's the case, at least we'll know WHY they aren't paying for their crimes! lol

Ok Lumiforever, thanks for lettin me know.

No problem : ) TPolTucker, and I agree JT and SJH, atleast we know why they won't be behind bars.

You know what is bothering me, Why wasn't Sami upset that Ej took Ava as a client? Ava is breaking up the relationship between John and Marlena and she is responsible for killing Sami's grandfather. I would think that she would be furious with Ej for helping Ava. I bet the Brady's will be LIVID if Ava gets off without jail time.

I am new to this website but I just have to see if people agree with me that the nujohn is horrible. Agreed that old john was getting boring but i wish they would have just found him another storyline bc this one is getting old.

I think another thing that's getting old is Sami screaming all the time. Does she not have a normal, non-yell-y voice? Give it a rest, already!

wow.

I enjoyed the show today. And agree with lumiforeverandever.
At he end what roman said to lucas "remember what you are doing is for Ali" cannot be taken any other way then he is working for the Police and that is why he's goig to Max. So this is how lucas is going to get out of jail a lot sooner than people think.
John thinks what EJ is doing to Sami is rotten and cruel with this court order and I still wonder if it is legitimate. And as usual EJ did not tell John the truth but was backed into a corner and had no joice but to admit what he had done to John because john already knew. And EJ as usual had no remorse for it but used Stefano as an excuse. He needed the kidney to save Stefano. Well John is going to keep a close eye on EJ and take it from there. The Judge accepting the check from EJ for John is a bad move. This could be used against her in her election campaign being backed by a perosn under investigation for cocaine dealing and other shady endeavours. it may back fire on the Judge and help her opponent. I like that John still cares about Sami.
Sami's true love for Lucas was obvious today and they have both realized their love will overcome everyhting. Sami has seen EJ for what he really is and I don't think she will ever trust him again. Now she needs to get a lawyer to protect her rights.
Ava is such a rat--when she first got out of the hospital she went to Marlena for help and the way she repaid marlena is to try to steal John. Her excuse for her past actions was
that her father had her drugged and the drugs made her act like she did but what is her excuse now? She is showing the same obsession for John that she showed forSteve and seems to have taken over her father's business as the Marfia Princess. She has talked John into fighting his business opponents the way her father would have handled things--having Paul picked up brought to the mansion and beat and her goons and her wanted to kill Paul but John wouldn't go that far and told them to let Paul go and have time to think things over. but I think Ava had her goons kill paul and John has no knowledge of this. Since we all know Ava is out of the show in a month or so I am guessing she goes to jail.

***Spoiler Alert**

"Ava feels that Marlena is still in the way even though she and John have become much closer."
Will Ava make a move to get Marlena out of her way? We saw how far she went with Kayla and the others when she wanted Steve. Ava is like EJ she may claim to have changed but is still the same person she was before. She will do anything to get what she wants.
