Sami and EJ discuss the night Johnny was conceived, Kayla goes into labor, death visits Salem and Max and Steph make up.

Sami busts through the DiMera mansion door ranting about Nicole and EJ kissing in the sauna. Rolf quiets her down since the babies are sleeping. He asks why she's so agitated and she tells him it's because she's stuck with this arrogant, pompous man. She thinks it's lucky that they don't have to stay married for life. Rolf is confused because earlier she said EJ had changed. She thought wrong, she says and Rolf scoffs. He wonders if she feels a thumping of her heart for EJ. "No," She yells and claims she has no feelings for him. Rolf's brain is scrambled and he says this is why he hasn't had much use for emotions! He tells her fear is the only emotion one must listen to. Sami sarcastically tells him she'll take his advice, but Rolf tells her if she truly loves someone, she should cultivate that feeling. Sami cries that she wants to see Lucas, but he wants her to move on. Rolf confesses EJ was on the phone with Warden Pruitt from the prison. "It seems you might be seeing Lucas sooner than you think," he says. Sami doesn’t understand why EJ would want to help Lucas get out of prison and thanks Rolf for the help. He agrees to spy for her - if she'll owe him one in the future!

In the sauna, EJ stops kissing Nicole but she starts things up. He stops her again and tells her he can't get over the feeling he cheated on Samantha. Nicole feels humiliated and thinks he just wants to stay with Sami for the sake of his son. EJ tells her that he really loves Sami. Nicole reminds him that Sami's in love with Lucas and the minute he returns, EJ will become a ghost. EJ disagrees and tells her that the prison is overcrowded so they're allowing some prisoners to go home under a home arrest. EJ has asked Uncle Mickey to get Lucas off, so he can play fair and square. "Remind me again, did he shoot you in the brain," asks Nicole. EJ explains that he wants to remind Samantha that he's the victim. The sooner the better!

Steph meets Max at the pier. Max apologizes to her for lying about Nick's grant proposal and for his lack of trust. Stephanie realizes he was just trying to help his friend. Max explains that Nick's sense of reality is warped when it comes to his work and he tells her this is not the first time Nick accused him of tampering with his work. He remembers taking a page out of Nick's binder to take down a phone number. He's not sure he and Nick will work through this and tells Steph that he made a mistake not trusting her but it won't happen again. They hug and kiss and picnic by the water, sharing strawberries and sandwiches. "I'm the luckiest girl in the world," she tells him. They start to make out but Steph has to get home. She doesn't want her parents to worry.

At the pub, Bo arrests Martino and an officer pats him down. After they find he's clean, the officers take the goons to Salem PD while Martino tells Bo he's got nothing on him. Hope begs to differ and shows him Nusbaum's wallet, which was found on a Vitali employee. Martino says there is no proof that the man works for him but Ava says she can prove it! She knows everyone on his payroll and knew he was going after Patch. "I trusted you, Daddy and I trusted my psychiatrist." Angelo interrupts and tells her that he cares too much about his cousin to keep the lie going. He tells her that her father ordered Nusbaum to drug her! Ava is shocked and says he did this because of what she remembered. Martino had his wife taken out when she tried to leave him, just after Ava tried to kill herself. She overheard him admit it to one of his thugs, she says and pounds his chest and screams. In the midst of the commotion, Martino grabs a gun and takes aim at Bo! Bo fires his own weapon, shooting Martino dead. Ava leans over him sobbing. "How could you do this to me," she cries. Later, the ambulance arrives and Martino's taken away in a body bag. Bo frowns and thinks Martino got off easy. Roman apologizes to Ava and reminds her she's out on bail. Neither she nor Angelo can go anywhere.

Kayla calls an ambulance and Steve arrives. She tells him it's too soon for the baby to come. She worries she'll lose the baby.

EJ arrives home and Sami tells him he missed putting the twins to bed - not that he cares! "How was Nicole," she asks and EJ plays into it. "She was wonderful." He tells her nothing happened and he has no reason to lie to her. She reminds him he hasn't exactly been forthcoming before. She asks why he's trying to get Lucas out of jail. He claims he only wants her happiness. She counters, "I wish you were thinking that the night John was conceived." Dead silence, then EJ asks if that is why she's so angry, because of the way Johnny was conceived. Sami says though she loves her son, she can't look at him without remembering that night he was conceived.

Nicole finds herself alone at the Salem Health Club and says it could be worse. "It's time to cozy up to an old friend," she says and starts drinking from a flask.

At the mansion, EJ says he's not proud of what he did. He's deeply ashamed. To say what he did was a terrible mistake was an understatement, he says and tells her he made love to her that night because he loved her and thought she felt the same. Sami calls him egotistical and reminds him she told him she loved Lucas. EJ wishes he could take it back. She tells him she is scarred emotionally. She wants to know why he was so sleazy afterwards. "That was the worst part." He says it was because he was embarrassed and took out his humiliation on her. What he did was inexcusable, he says and that moment changed him. It changed both of their lives and is the reason he left his family, turned his father in and helped them find John. He's trying to bring some balance back he says and hopes one day she'll be able to wipe the slate clean. "I am so sorry," he says. Sami tells him if he wants to be a good father to Johnny, he has his work cut out. She thinks that cavorting with Nicole isn't helping. He lies that nothing happened and says it's because he told her he loved her. Sami says it's nice to think Nicole thinks that and lets it go. She gives him a clean slate. "It's a lot to ask," EJ says, squirming. Sami tells him he's done a lot of good things. They're interrupted by a drunken Nicole, who barges in the door with Rolf racing after her, apologizing that he couldn't stop her. "It's like trying to stop a train wreck," Nicole says. EJ asks why she's there and she says she is a glutton for punishment. "I need me some more," she says, leaning in to kiss EJ. "No you don’t," he says, while pushing her away. Sami marches her out the door and tells EJ to stay away from her but he can't control that she has a crush on him as much as he can't control what she does, he says, grinning. Sami tells him he doesn't have to enjoy this and orders him to stay away from Nicole or else. "Or else what, darling," he asks. Sami frantically pulls him into a searing kiss. Sami pulls away, covering her mouth. "What's the matter, darling," he asks. "I just kissed you," she exclaims and runs up the stairs crying, "What's wrong with me?"

Next on Days Of Our Lives:
Phillip tells Victor, "You can justify anything, can't you. You've been keeping secrets about your own grandson." Victor replies, "What about the secrets that you're keeping from me?"
Hope calls Steph and tells her, "Your mom's going into labor." Stephanie cries, "She can't be having the baby. It's too soon!"
Steve asks Lexi if the baby can survive if it comes now.
